@@DaleLRoberts I think you´ve been all over and into every niche of the industry so far since any subject I´m interested in you´ve already done something about it. Market expansion through languages and translations other than Babelcube. I´ve seen a guy from Spain Enrique Lasso who´s been nr 1 through Google Play in Greece and other East Europe countries that Amazon doesn´t reach. Thanks for asking Dale, cheers. All the best.
I'm going to be circling back around to some videos that were: 1) Long form live videos - make them short 2) Old videos that need updating So, I hope you enjoy the new content set to roll out starting tomorrow.
AgentSkye haha yeah, I pay attention to all my comments. Rare exceptions. Sometimes RUclips doesn’t notify me on replies, so some conversations get lost in the shuffle.
I got a book for 2 quid off of ebay and the cover I was met with was disastrous so I'm making my own. I'm not giving up on this book, I can still save it.
This comment is mega late, but for anyone out there that may see this, if you have a small amount of talent in art, but aren't good enough for a super professional cover, make a simplistic silhouette cover. Of course, it will only work for certain books but it doesn't take too much talent and looks awesome.
Sorry Dale, but there is one very interesting thing you have failed to mention here. When creating a book cover in Canva, a cover in which you have used their Pro Images, and are paying their subscription, you CANNOT use that cover for SELLING your book on Amazon or ANYWHERE! Those images are only placed there for experimenting, and are NOT ALLOWED to be used in ANYTHING that is being SOLD.
Fair enough. Good points. It depends on the source of the image. Canva owns Pixabay and Pexels, both of which allow commercial use of their images and are included in the Canva interface. Ultimately, users need to understand where their images are coming from BEFORE they use them in a book cover.
during looking for a cover designer . many of them are not real artist or designer . Just want to collect much jobs . Hardly find some one who could understand my ideas .
Yeah, it's tough to nail down a qualified and experienced graphic designer for book covers. Even if you do, it doesn't always mean they'll understand your vision.
I don't. But, I'd bet either The Home Boss or Paul Marles might have a video covering that. I found this one by my buddy, Easy Graphics: ruclips.net/video/mbXc-DrlgQU/видео.html He's REALLY knowledgeable in all things Canva. I've been meaning to get around to making a video covering it.
Sure. Here's a full tutorial for how to publish your book through Amazon KDP: ruclips.net/video/oSe3mTdZdSI/видео.html Here's a step-by-step article you can use for going at your own pace: selfpublishingwithdale.com/index.php/2023/11/28/how-to-publish-a-book-on-kdp/ I hope that helps!
I would suggest www.bookcoverzone.com - it's not free, but it's quick, cheap and professional. Thousands of premade covers to choose from and you can just type in the texts for the front and download the cover without waiting days to get results from designers.
Thanks Dale! you keep rocking with fast, effective and cool data delivered like a champ!
This is an old one. Just wait, I’m editing a crop of videos to fire off in March. I feel like it’s my best yet. 😀👍👏

Is canva could be copyrighted by any chance ?
Yes. You need to delve into their Terms of Service regarding licensing when you use their stuff.

@@DaleLRoberts It is because of that, that their Pro subscription is basically useless, and is an excellent way to get a person into legal trouble.
what do if you dont have it
Don't have what?
If I make a cover using one of these programs, can I use that to self publish through Amazon?
Sure.

Can I use photos from Google for my book cover?
I wouldn’t recommend it because you’ll be getting images that have a copyright.
