Stay cool.
A great way to memorize the notes of a guitar, is getting a poster of the fretboard with all the notes labeled. Just put it up on the wall, and occasionally look at it for reference while playing. That really help me to learn the notes.
^^ Alternatively, keep it as your monitor wallpaper. As someone that practices in front of my desk setup, it really did help.
I joined guitar super system. It’s the best guitar site. I tried a bunch his lessons are so structured. Real good at teaching not to fast not to slow.
Can i learn there as a beginner? Or is this just for people that can already play Guitar?
Hey, I'm Just starting to learn guitar and have been considering paying for guitar super system. I greatly appreciate the video. I found it very helpful so thank you.
Thanks again! The follow up vid comparing GSS to Fender Play and Gibson is in the works and should be out in another week or two! I greatly appreciate the feedback and hope you enjoy the channel 🤘
This is the video i needed. I really feel like the organized setup from tyler will benefit me. Thank you and keep it up!!
I agree, Jake.
Well, the author of GSS presents his lessons based on Berkeley lessons, no difference, so you can give it a try.
There is also another dude you can reference to which is Tomo Fujita. It is said he is also a very good instructor. similar price overall.
A very, very succinct review, I was actually thinking of checking this one out and now I might try out the trial first. Thanks for putting this video. This is good stuff.
If $50 for a whole year is to much $$$ for somebody to pay..... thats pretty pathetic....... SHM
Just say your broke lmaooo
I tried it before the revamp. He’s clearly knowledgeable, but some of the lessons didn’t work for me. I guess the way he explained things didn’t always click?
Very helpful. Thanks!
I have watched a few of these videos now, I cannot understand why Steven Stine isn't mentioned? Maybe I have missed the mention but wow, he is brilliant ~ maybe worth looking into for you.
Your super underrated this helped a-lot thanks!
Great video! Very informative thank you!
How would you compare GSS to Rick Beato?
yeah dude I get the price thing. but I think finding a good site that you can sink your teeth into, especially with an engaging teacher is worth that price of admission if it works for you. In person lessons are about 40 bucks a session.
That pdf thing can be good feedback, for adding it into the app instead of a pdf
This is the exact video I needed! And I related a ton to the proper work environment statement. When it’s free and widely available I get way more distracted and tend to lose focus. And especially with a complex topic like music theory it’s hard to know what to learn first and when. You answered pretty much every question I had thank you for this video!
So this is the video I’ve been looking for for a while. I’ve been wanting a real opinion on GSS. Almost every list i read says fender is better. But who knows if fender sponsored that review somehow? Maybe it is. I just want to here it from a real person. I need some structure in my practice. I jump around learning 30 seconds of different songs. Couldn’t help but laugh at the stranger things, porn hub and other references! Guarantee most people that what your video will be nodding there heads relating to that!! I’m subscribing to see how it turns out. Thanks, great video.
That really means a lot, thank you so much! Just got myself the subscriptions, gonna use them for the month so about 3 to 4 weeks before the follow up video but I hope you'll enjoy some of my other vids that come along during the wait.
Honestly I'd expect the fender one to be better just on the grounds that fender has way more resources to work with. Which is an understandable disadvantage for GSS but if it wants to charge the same price then it's gotta get the same treatment. We will see tho! Thanks again!
I had tried Fender Play. If you want structured beginner lessons...this is not what you want. I was lost using Fender play.
Great video, you just said the number one reason why I would always look for jobs on the computer, at Starbucks or in the library as opposed to at home. Well put
Hyperion's Sad King Billy?
Yes exactly.
@@thesadkingbilly My favorite SciFi series. I read it about once a year.
@@zTheBigFishz thats awesome. Gotta confess i've only read the first so far, but its one of my favorites as you can guess
Was there a lot of acoustic lessons?
There is a section for acoustic specific techniques, but it’s a small one.
However a lot of the things taught such as scales and music theory are universal, they apply to both electric and acoustic.
But still I’d say it’s definitely set up in favor of electric guitar.
@@thesadkingbilly thanks. I appreciate the reply. I thought it would be in favor of electric.
Nice advise and a very objective presentation. Thanks for giving us the pros and cons or more of a heads up on this app. I might try the app. Thanks man. Very well explained.
Sometime a café… Most of the time a bar! 😂😂😂 Thanks for the review!
