Thank you for another great winter sailing video! Your GIS is really very fast. I admire the solutions used, including the pivoting centreboard and the rudder blade, as well as the "Norwegian tiller". I've had side seats in the cockpit for a couple of seasons as well, but the side board seems to be very needed sometimes! Greetings from winter, snowy and frosty Poland.
I just bought this used GIS, so with the spivoting centreboard and the rudder. I'm just doing some adjustments and tests ("Norwegian tiller", like on my Skerry for example) I know your GIS, "Uitwaaien", I watched all your videos! ...Soon better days for sailing in Poland too !
@@gisskerrykeleren3614 Sometimes this daggerboard and dagger rudder blade are very uncomfortable. I considered converting them to pivoting during construction, but didn't want to complicate things. GIS seduced me with its simplicity and performances. I added side benches because of my own unstretch, but sometimes the uncertain wind forces me to sit on their inner corner, hence the thought of the cross bench. Most importantly, my sailing is retiree style, so completely different from what Boatmik or Teo shows. Winter (which is snowy and frosty here) is a time of longing for the navigation season, but in 50 days it will be Spring! Good luck!
@@robhosailor I am no longer young enough to be too physical, I like to sail fast but comfortable, and if possible without capsizing ! Good sailing to come in Poland !
