Yesterday I ordered a Sony A90J 83" OLED TV, Sony HT-A7000 sound bar and Sony SA-SW5 subwoofer. It's going to be epic.
Why not the HT-A9 with Subwoofer instead?
@@Toss3 I didn't want rear speakers at all as I feel it spoils the living room decor and feel. I would have otherwise ordered the extra rear speakers for the HT-A7000.

I'm going buy this soundbar upgrading from the HT-CT80 which has served me well over the years
I have been buying Sony products for over 50 years. This ranges from televisions, audio components and even cameras. Always thought Sony gave you the best for your money. Last December I purchased a 65 inch A80J OLED. I was not disappointed with this television, it truly has a great picture. Was surprised by the sound out of the box, heard reviews that said it’s the best sounding television just using the speakers that came with it and that’s true also. I am looking at getting a soundbar and my first choice was Sony again. There are so many choices out there that cover a wide price range. Sony’s newest soundbar is the HT-A5000 and A7000. They’re both expensive at $800 and $1200 respectively. I started watching reviews and while most were favorable a few talked about “issues” but would not specify what issues they were talking about. Some say the A5000 is just a cheap version of the A7000. Cheaper components, cheaper parts and that soured me on the A5000. They would recommend the Sennhieser Ambeo but it cost twice as much, you’d expect it to sound better. I’ve probably watched too many reviews but I like to do a lot of research before I part with that much money. Might be a little confused but I’ll more than likely go with the A7000 since I have a Sony OLED.
Could you please let me know what did you purchase eventually?

@@richardmagnusson6419 …..Richard, turns out I didn’t buy anything, yet. The Sony Soundbars, A5000 and A7000 are now $1000 and $1400 respectively. Waited too long and missed the sales,at Christmas. Too many options and couldn’t make up my mind. Everyone said you’ll want a subwoofer to go with soundbar, that adds several hundred dollars. Will probably get one by spring but hoping the A7000 comes down a couple hundred. Have a good one Richard.

Hi Richard M : I bought Samsung Q990B.
No connectivity issue.
Reason :
Sonos : No individual channel control and No Bluetooth ( I won't need Bluetooth anyway) it's bit older model.
Bose : doesn't qualify to compete with current models ( Ex. no Dolby or DTSx)
Sony : connectivity issue
Q990B : I got one complete package, so far I loved it.
It has all the features what I need such as Dolby atmos, DTSx, most importantly No connectivity issues like other models.
What did you buy?

Sony is the best. They have come a long way. I remember having a Sony water proof Walkman. It was yellow and it had really great bass. Plus I had Sony headset to go with it. Those headset had lot's of bass. I must've spent over hundreds of dollars on buying Sony electronics back in the day. Fast forward. I have a PS3 and a PS4 SLIM, a PSVR ( Playstation VR ) And now I have a PS5. You can probably know that I am a big fan of Sony. Now I have to buy another 4K smart TV. I am going to buy a Sony Vizio 4K smart TV use it for my PS5.

But what if your room isn't enclosed?
Then you need another product. It’s obvious.
The soundbar with the 360 spacial sound update will likely help with a more open space .
It doesn't have to be enclosed. It maps the room, it finds the components if you have the sub and surrounds and measures their location and distance and bounces sound off the ceiling as well to create a virtual soundstage... watch the video again

Can someone please help, this is the only Sony soundbar with room correction and my tv and soundbar is right next to the left wall in my room, will this feature help with that? Also my Bravia tv has a sound adjustment feature not sure what the difference is with that
This is not only one with calibration for room,but it is the best,like A9 too.
Pared with new XR Sony tv, they will open secret menu,with 3D surround, and 360 ° spatial sound.
After logitech z5500 I am not seen any home theater still today that's called home theater these are looking like silly like bluethooth speakers. Presentation is good but does not mean they are too good. Speakers shot sound to walls and they reflect like light ?

They seem to be slowly pulling away from electronics and becoming a digital media house - movies, games and music.
So very sad to see their CES keynote.
@@gsreads Yeah I guess that makes sense for them in terms of making money. I mean real home theatre is still a very small business. But I think it's sad when a power house like Sony isn't in the competition thinking of their history bringing great high-end products in the past thinking pf their ES-series they had in the 90s and early 2000. When Sony really makes an effort they almost always end upp with a great product.

Sony сделала похожее в угоду минимализма.В комнате только экран, кресло и саундбар - 🤧выходит полная.Это полноценный кинозал тогда а значит и стены и потолок должны быть правильно оформлены для звуковых колебаний и отражений от вторых и третьих поверхностей.Сонька всегда делала качественный звук но такого я от них не ожидал ((((

I really love surround sound speakers and more speakers on the ceiling, on the left and right between front and rear. Making discrete 7 .1.2 channel, not virtual. I really hate the virtual sound, it's fake and not immersive.

Currently their 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos single front speaker costs 1.5 lakh INR😂 that too it doesnt come with back speaker you need buy that as optional, entire setup shown in video will cost over 3 lakh INR. Only ultra rich will put that much money on sound system.

I had the Q950A and returned it because it does NOT support HDMI 2.1. I recently got the A7000 and trust me… the A7000 is easily superior! It actually produces true theater sound quality. The fullness and richness is AMAZING! And now that Sony has upgraded the rear speakers, it’ll probably kill everything on the market! It seriously throws sound everywhere out of the box. Really looking forward to seeing what the 360 mapping does! You honestly can’t even compare the two because the Q950A is limited to HDMI 2.0….

Overpriced? How so? Quality doesn't come cheap pal. Neither does innovation. Do you also complain about the cost of a Mercedes, a BMW, or a Lexus? Sony is a premium brand. Always was. If it's too expensive for you then it's not for you. There are plenty of Chinese brands that will sell stuff to you cheaper.

Overpriced, underwhelming, and rushed to market. Just returned my hta7000, sw5 and RS5’s today. One of the RS5’s just quit working after less than 3 weeks. Amazon wouldn’t exchange them, only refund (even though they were in stock). Sony knows what’s up. And the bar and sub themselves were nothing more than mediocre. For $3k, buyer beware! I really wanted this to be my final theater solution, but Sony just can’t do sound anymore.

It's almost like wireless audio can't do lossless Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. I'd rather have full quality sound from my movies and games than wireless compressed garbage quality.
