But mentally I still was panicking until one health specialist look me in my eye and went over everything I was experiencing and told me and made me believe I am ok. been dealing with this for 10 months, once time passes you will feel a lot better, Cherelle told me that time will be the best healer and it is . I am currently in the emergency department (watching this video 😩) because I’ve had chest pains for over a week and I’ve done all of my coping mechanisms at home and sat with my symptoms and I finally convinced myself that I NEED to solve this problem. I almost feel guilty for giving in to my symptoms, but I’m so uncomfortable that I’m convinced it’s something serious. Having health anxiety is debilitating and your videos have helped me in so many ways that I can’t thank you enough, but unfortunately even with all of the knowledge behind what health anxiety is we still ruminate and develop chaos that we end up giving in to sometimes. But when they were over, there was lots of triggers around me, my symptoms got worse than before… I decided to go again for blood test I had to wait 4 weeks for appointment. And this waiting made me feel like crap I have headache for long time now and dizziness. With other symptoms too… I went for my GP appointment and I had to wait a week for blood test…. I had my blood test and now I need to make appointment because of my Vit D, which isn’t something scary at all. But all this makes me feel like is my last days of my life 😅. I will call to make appointment tomorrow and see what happens next and how long I need to wait… So your video is so related to me right now because I am definitely sabotaging myself. Perimenopause. My one way ticket to the most extreme health anxiety I've EVER had.
The symptoms come thick and fast the further along into it you get as the hormones change and your estrogen leaves your body that it needs to function on every level and without it, declines rapidly!... you literally don't know your own body anymore and you are continually on high alert....its hell.
So many women develop health anxiety during this time of life and listening to you just now, is me, every minute of every day! Thanks for the reminder to sometimes just sit and see.....thank you 🙏

Millioms upon millions of women are in our boat. Crazy isn't it. Google is helpful to look up symptoms and learn they are common with peri or look up the lesser known ones too which I seem to get alot of...typical! 😆 but if you suffer from anxiety as a person anyway, perimenopause will always make that worse....worrying over symptoms, but your anxiety made worse by the falling of estrogen......and that morning anxiety is pure hell isn't it?
No one can prepare you for what this time if life will put you through.....and as women, why are we not told!?? So much support online though for which I'm grateful. Anyway my friend...hang in there. 🫂

@@raymarriss2440 Hi Ray. I am 49. I was around your age when my periods started to noticeably change. It's one of the first symptoms that you're entering perimenopause. You may find your periods from now on will become more all over the place, early, late, on time, missed entirely some months and the further along you go, you may find they are lighter or much heavier....all normal. I found it helpful to keep a period diary. I started one age 43. Kept a diary for years of every single period, what date it was due, when it actually arrived (so then made a note how late or sometimes early) how it was (heavy, light, painful) looking back at it now....I'm glad I did it. It's good for you to know your body and what it's doing. You will slowly come to learn that things are changing. It's very gradual....
Eventually like I am now, you will go months and months without one....I've been a year with no period so I'm very close to leaving perimenopause and going into menopause.....
They say a year without a period and that indicates it.....but a period can randomly show up just when you think you're done! I'm in full on perimenopause now. Have been experiencing the classic and not so classic symptoms for the last year.....
Unfortunately blood tests often come back normal as there is no definitive test for perimenopause. Doctors tend to go on symptoms.
You may well be in perimenopause but bloods will be normal. Its only in actual menopause your bloods will show levels to indicate menopause.
In perimenopause your hormones are so completely all over the place, a blood test is not a true indicator as its a snap shot on that day.....the next day it could be different......so don't worry about the bloods. Sounds to me you're just entering the starts with your irregular periods.....but obvs, I'm not a doctor so any concerns do see your gp. Best wishes x

One major thing we all need to understand is health anxiety becomes PTSD and is OCD. It’s the need for control connected to fears. The body hears the mind especially
For ppl like us. The body follows. For me my skin gets affected by health anxiety where ever I’m worried my skin hurts. My body pulls the blood from the area and the skin dries up and hurts 24/7 which is what makes the looping thoughts go on

I've had the worst time of my life earlier. A month ago I started having headaches, forehead pain, high fever and cough. Headaches and fever only lasted 2 days but other symptoms stayed for a while. so I decided to visit a family doctor. She told me there was possibly a sinus problem since I have a deviated septum. But my anxiety was so so high that my pulse went sky high (145) so she freaked out and told me I could die any minute if my pulse was this high all the time. I told her it was only because of my anxiety but her words scarred me deeply. ( even though I've been to a heart doc before and i know my heart is perfectly healthy). So it turns out I have a severe, chronic sinusutis. They prescribed me 10 pills of antibiotics and some other stuff. But her words about my heart scared me so much that I couldn't think about anything else for 3 days straight. went to the doctors on Monday, dealt with huge stress,on Wednesday evening my blood pressure suddenly dropped (70/50) and I could barely stand, I wasn't feeling dizzy but more like super lightheaded and I went into panic mode so that didn't help. I took some medications and it went back to normal after 15-20 mins but I started having tension headaches and couldn't concentrate for 4-5 days. day by day they were getting better and better and now i am fine but i still have trouble concentrating because i am anxious about brain tumors. even tho i know it was caused by high level of anxiety, low blood pressure and severe sinus infection, I am still scared as hell...

Thank you for your videos ❤ i wrote about my anxiety bully: My Poem To My Anxiety:
    Today…How are you feeling?
How are you feeling she say?
My therapist, is she my saviour? Each week I do pray,
For a way, For a change, A cure for this pain,
See it may seem invisible and though I look calm on the outside,
I’m torn, I’m scared, I am infact, very, afraid.
Because on the inside I feel symptoms that keep me at bay. They stop me to work, to create, to live for the day.
How do I explain such a thing, how do I trust in the words that they say? Doc says you're okay, it's just anxiety, it'll soon pass, it'll just go away. But it can't, it's just not right it has to be more, but Jamie the tests do not lie, please come back here no more!
Each time that i visit, each test and each scan, should put my mind at ease and I beg doctors for a plan. Please, keep me away, I'm just being a burden to the NHS, on yet another wasteful day.
I want to believe this is normal, that I am not quite alone, that one day I will look back and laugh at these problems I'm shown. But my mind is ever powerful and rather overbearing, it says look what's the hurry? there is more time for this health anxiety worry. I should be grateful for what I have got and have the strength to carry on being confident and on top! But sometimes I have no control for these attacks as they are ever so random, they have no consideration for my life, my feelings they hit me in tandem. I know I am fine, and clever you see, but I doubt myself too and often find it unbearable just to be me, to do simple tasks is hard to complete, like walking inside a shop and/or trying to just eat. But keep the faith, it will be IT that will lose. I will battle with this demon and indeed panic I will pursue. But as for today, how am I feeling? Like I can battle no more when I am healing? No, you are wrong for I have much fight left deep in me, just wait there anxiety for I am not finished with thee!

I can say, I still struggle, but once you tell yourself in your mind that you’ve been feeling this for a long time, and nothing bad has happened, so this is the exact same feeling, so nothing bad is going to happen. I’m no expert, and am still actively dealing with this day to day, but really try hard to think about the last time you felt the pain and if anything bad happened. That has helped me get some relief. Also, it helps me to come and look at a video here anytime I start feeling off. This is for two reasons, 1 being that the videos are super helpful, and 2 being that you slowly start to realize you aren’t the only one dealing with this.
