There’s something so unassuming, candid and natural about Chaka Khan. She’s generally as honest with us as she seems to be with herself. I think that never losing her sense of humility is what’s allowed her to reject her former substance abuse and rejoin those of us happy or content with life.

Fyabun, did you listen to the words coming out of her mouth? Go back and listen, and hear the truthfulness that she is telling you, right from her own mouth. That was at that moment of her life. I do hate it when people start adding what they want to another person's reality, the way they thought they heard it! It's not right to assume what you think she or anyone said and pass it around like it's truth, when it's what you concocted up yourself, isn't truth! If I can't speak the truth, then I try and say nothing, that way you cant say I said anything! Get it, Got it, Good! PEACE LOVE ALWAYS to Everyone..

Fyabun, you have to keep in mind the time and era she grew up in. She didn't feel love from whites because of the prejudices she experienced. She loves being black. She was just overwhelmed by the fact that her music has brought her universal love, all races, colors and creeds.

Why do I see a little, little bit of Missy Elliott in the young Chaka Khan... #LegendPeriod.

Well I dont know you and dont know if you're black, but I am of good age and been round the block and sure know what I heard and can read between the lines. She's not the only 1 get blinded by the lights. I'm not judging but I am allowed to comment. We all as black people have that scitso thing going on and if you dont know why or dont know what I'm talking about go study.
