- Listening to Last Ride of the Day by #Nightwish for the first time. I can't believe we are at the end of the concert!? I felt emotional after this the entire day (when I filmed this) but I have gone back and listened to the song so many times by now, but I actually enjoy watching the live more than just listening to it. I still haven't listened to the Imaginaerum album! So I have all the studio recordings to look forward too...soon.

holy crap, if there was ever a song which will make me miss marko and floor singing together.. it would be the energy in this one .. and i love they let marko have his solo moment at the very end of the song. i'm not crying you're crying!

Very few bands do that. They are so humble. Also speaking of the crew, you should check out Crewish, a band created by the crew to raise funds during the pandemic. They created an album of Nightwish cover songs in very different styles

I like the look of Floor when the last notes are played. Her bodylanguage tells so much standing at the stage holding her hands together looking at the audience. She was quite new with band at those times and the concert was succesfully over, last ride of the day. She looks so happy :)
Wacken was the concert where just everything came together and it was magical. No other concert of them has this level, they may have a better performance of some songs but as a whole Wacken is it. [edit] In my opinion.

The music in the end is the last track from the Imaginaerum album, also called Imaginaerum.
Sahara (Live in Tampa) - it is a bonus on Vehicle of Spirit DVD, not part of a show. And Ghost Love Score (Buenos Aires 2012 ruclips.net/video/3brcfttchzA/видео.html&ab_channel=Nightwish). She was with them 2,5 month, it was show 25 or 26. Amazing atmosphere and probably the best floorgasm.

I remember this night very well. I was there at Wacken 2013. We got an invitation to watch the concert from one of the camera plattforms and I was thankful, because my boots were covered in mud and I was already very tired after 3 days of festival. And we could watch the show over the heads of the crowd.
Nightwish was already one of my favourite bands at that time and I told my brother when they played "Ghost Love Score" they will be going in to the end. I asked myself how they would top it and came to the conclusion "Song of myself" would do it, and they did. And then I said to my brother: "They surely will end the show with last ride of the day" and they did too!
We drove back to Hamburg - where I lived at that time - the same night since we already decamped our ground. I will never forget this magical night as long as I live.
Floor has done several covers on her channel and then there's all her performances on the 2019 Beste Zangers show. 😀
That was a truly epic concert, Floor and Marco only get better in the other concert. Their is a song that TUOMAS wrote and his wife sings it, the name is ( A LIFETIME OF ADVENTURE) YOU WILL LOVE IT

For me.. You should do "yours is an empty hope" live at wembley (in this one there is a surprise for those who want to listen what Floor can do). And from Buenos Aires " I want my tears back". Then.. "high hopes" for Marko (for me., his best song) I think in Tampere. Great reaction. I enjoy your smile growing while you listen to them. Stay safe 🤘😁🤘

Such a wonderful smile. The music playing during the credits is the title track from the Imaginaerum album. It includes some of the musical themes of the album.
You should always be ready to get teary eyes with NW 🤗 and yes NW is a humble and down to earth group that appreciate their staff and audience 🥰

Lovely Stanzi, you're not at the end, you're nearing the end of the beginning. I'm loving you loving Nightwish, and I'm looking forward to where you go from here. Whatever you choose to do, whenever you choose to do it is quite all right with us. You have a rich and varied well from which to draw, and it all tastes sweet. There aren't any false steps, nor is there that one song in their catalogue that makes everybody cringe just a little. So don't worry about being in free-fall, you're just falling a little deeper into the rabbit-hole that you already enjoy so much.. Relax, refresh and carry on from here.

This song is greatsong to end concert. Your "Wacken ride" was very enjoyable to watch. Thanks! Recommend: Sahara, live in Tampa Bay, Elvenjig & Elvenpath, live Bogota, Edema Ruh, live from Nightwish cruise(acoustic version) or album version with excellent fan made video. This song they have play live only few times. To me this song somehow define/potray what Nightwish is.
everyone needs to go to the nightwish website and buy merch! I recently found out that during this time of the Covid pandemic all the profits from the sale of merch is going to the crew. As lovers of this wonderful band we should all be doing our part for the unsung heroes of the band.

"pure joy" - this is exactly what I feel watching this show. I have the CD and Blu-ray, and I love listening to it, but watching it is an even better experience.
Now that is one hell of a way to end the most epic concert ever!
Floor is the nicest person in the world as well as mega talented . Nightwish is all about love and acceptance welcoming everyone into their Army .
Looking forward to our continuing journey - other songs to react to. from the "End of an Era" Phantom of the Opera, High Hopes Pink Floyd cover (Marko and the whole band are impressive)
Something that doesn't get singled out nearly often enough is Floor's perfect intonation. Some great singers can struggle with that in live settings and you'll hear them correct their pitch during longer notes but I can't ever recall Floor doing that; she nails the pitch every time. And listen to her belting those high notes at the 90th minute of the performance. Just stunning.
It is not a storm, it is The Avalance of Joy.

It's been fun watching these with you. Thanks! I would highly recommend you look at some of the music videos from their new album. All of them are good, although my favorite is "Pan." I also suggest you look at "High Hopes" from the End of an Era concert.
@@rg8829 @Randall Morris Me too! NW High Hopes is one of my absolute favorites. Marko's mighty voice and Emppu's beautiful solo's. I tear up every time....
The final song is "Imaginerum" which is also the last song on the Imaginaerum album. It is like a reprise. It reminds me of the reprises John Williams wrote for Star Wars.
As they say, "All good things must come to an end." It's been an enjoyable ride, watching you rediscover Nightwish with their new singer (new to you anyway), Floor.

The instrumental at the end it is called Imaginaerum (like the album) and it's a mashup of most of the songs in the album.
Great reaction Costanza, this will have to go down in music history with acclaimed concert recordings like Yessongs, Frampton Comes Alive, Live and Dangerous, Made in Japan ect. Tough assignment to find tracks not covered by the shows you mentioned but here goes: Sahara, Wishmaster, Walking in the Air.
So much you could react to but I would recommend High Hopes(End of an Era,Pink Floyd cover,Marko on vocals),ALL of Floor's performances on Beste Zangers and How's the Heart (acoustic,just Floor and Troy) and Shoemaker,both songs from new album Human nature although the Acoustic HTH is not on the album but was a Planet Rock Session

What a joy to share this concert with you. Thank you. I second all the suggestions for Sahara; it’s a great song that never gets the love it deserves. I’m also really fond of Beauty and the Beast, live on the From Wishes to Eternity show way back in 2000. So it’s Tarja, their original bassist Sami, and Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica on guest vocals. It’s such a good song from their first album, really shows the foundations of their later epics. Definitely worth a listen.

Do also the best NW concerts : End of an Era 2005 and From Wishes to Eternity 2000. They are older but the most vital and genuine in the History of NW. Later ones are more the flow after the fundament was already set. However, this is pretty emotional also and the ending part specially.

Constanza, whatever you do, it will be a pleasure to experience it with all the NW fans. It's also joy to see how Floor and Marko add body language and facial expressions to emphasize the core of a song.
I would suggest doing at least those songs that weren't played on WOA 2013.
My personal wish would be if you played 'Slow, Love, Slow' ruclips.net/video/mSzEJ855YFg/видео.html live at Fort Lauderdale Oct. 13th, 2012, because this is a totally different style of music than we are used to from NW and also because it's just 12 days after her very first concert with NW.

This was a very nice reaction and a very nice ride with you throu this conzert. 😉 I love this conzert so much, it's not only the best Nightwish conzert for me it's one of the best live conzert i ever see! And don't forget, Floor wasn't a fix band member at this time but she did a really good job, they all did! One song what will not be performed in one of this 4 conzerts is "Beauty OF the beast" (OF is importand because there is an other song who's call "beauty and the beast"). It's a very beautiful song but Floor didn't sing it, i don't know why because it's one of the most beautiful Nightwish songs. If you will see it than i would say do first the studio/album version because i think you hear best the beauty of this song from the studio version and than the live version with Tarja from 2002. But i think there are many songs from Floor you should see, her songs from the Beste Zangers show, "Winnern", "Que se siente" or "shallow", but specially her Duett in this show with Henk Poort, "The phantom of the Opera", i'm sure you will love it, or one of her songs she did in the last 3-4 months by herself, started from "Let it go" from Frozen, her "Alone" cover from Hurt or "Adagio" her last cover from Lara Fabian, i like all this songs. And than start Wembly. But how you will, but look them by yourself i'm sure you will love some of them. At the end i will say i like your new hair cut, it looks beautiful!

You really should watch the documentary "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours" as it includes the final performance of this tour at M'era Luna, when they introduced it as The Last Ride Of The Tour" and the first hint came from the band (although many fans had already suspected it) that Floor would be permanent when she said it was so hard to have it all come to an end after 10 months of it being her life, and Marco replied that "well, someone just might be sticking around a bit longer".
This wasn't just the end of their set, it was the end of the festival as Nightwish, as headliners, were closing, and as headliners, they had no other stages active during their set (I think there were about five stages that year).
It is worth watching the Buenos Aires performance of "Ghost Love Score" from December 2012, to see firstly, how quickly Floor had integrated into the band and secondly, how much they had polished the performance between then and Wacken. But even then, the huge smiles on the faces of Emppu and Tuomas were an indication that having got hold of Floor, they intended to do everything possible to keep her! With her coming out of a burnout when they called, she said herself that if the call had come a month earlier, she couldn't have handled it, and of course, Nightwish had a real and immediate problem, so in many ways, they healed each other.
Somebody, and we don't know yet who it is, will have very large shoes to fill playing bass for Nightwish, and I hope he has a strong male voice to act as a counterpoint to Floor's vocals. He won't BE Marco, any more than Floor is Anette or Tarja, or Kai is Jukka, but we know that Nightwish can pull it off if anyone can. It's going to be hard to hear someone else singing his vocal parts though.
I've loved every moment of watching and listening through this concert with you, although I know it pretty much by heart - it is like re-living the first time I heard and saw it. There is something about Nightwish that grabs at your heart.

I still don't know which feeling prevailed with me... was I more sad because this concert was over, or was I happier because I had found a new love in Nightwish and Floor?In any case, many like me had a crying and a laughing eye as soon as the last note had faded away.For me, this concert will always remain unmatched.

Suggestions outside of the concerts which come to mind: everything from their latest (2020) album 'Human :||: Nature', preferably in order as appearing on the album. since because of Covid they were not yet able to perform this live. With the exception of the stripped down accoustic version of 'How's the Heart?', performed by Troy on guitar and Floor on vocals. Furthermore a song they never performed live and probably never will because it hits them too hard in the feels: 'Our Decades in the Sun', an ode to their parents. Please search for a lyrics video because the lyrics grip you by the throat.
Now you're ready for "The Poet and the Pendulum" (live at Wembley 2015) and -the most epic, "Greatest Show on Earth" (live Tampere 2015).
There are other songs shown as extras on the concert DVDs. I have all of the Floor era DVDs. I really like seeing Sahara and the Siren. Though I think Siren is a fan only recording. You are really going to enjoy seeing Wembley, Tempere and Buenos Aires eventually. :-)

During the pandemic there weren't concerts and when the band isn't working the crew doesn't make money. Nightwish promoted merch (including an album) made by the crew so that they could make some money. Nightwish wasn't under any obligation to do so, however they appreciate their crew more than most. The crew sings some of the Nightwish music, but it's very different. If you want to hear some of it, look up Crewish.
The fact that many members of the crew have been with them a decade or even longer, shows that they must treat their crew well
And now on to Wembley. Tampere and Buenos Aires please, LOL There are a few on the cruise liners. Yes there seems to be joy because at last Nightwish is truly as it should be and they all know it. Which makes it even sadder how Marko is feeling at the moment. By the way I knew that once you restarted that you would play right through again !! LOL.
So...where to begin...
1.) For me...kinda wish Troy had a part in the finale...
2.) Have always appreciated how much the whole band has remained relatively humble...C'mon...they know how good/lucky they are to be together!...

In my opinion it's Tuomas's most grand composition. The way the entire band is emotionally into the song, but seeing Emmpu's face and eyes while playing his solo is emotional. Ironic that you use the word humble at the end. In all the NW videos we've watched we have never seen one moment of ego by any band member. They are so grounded in "we" or "us", not me. As individuals and as a collaboration they just come across as people we would love to have visit our home and meet our family. Loved your reaction to this and all the concert videos from Wacken. The track in the credits is the final track of the album Imaginaerum, it's named after it, and it's basically an orchestral medley containing different songs from the album, you can hear Storytime, Ghost River, and others that were not played live here
Some of the songs you can do before your next concert:
*Scaretale - for me is better in the studio (Anette singing)
*Slow, Love, Slow - another gem with Anette, different style, also in studio
*Sahara (live at Tampa) - this is a bonus from the DVDs with Floor, a song from Dark Passion Play album
*High Hopes (Pink Floyd cover) - Marko singing, Tarja era DVD, End of an Era
*Planet Hell - Also End of an Era, with Tarja, one of her better songs IMO
Also, worth noting Tampere and Wembley are 'twin concerts' , from the same tour presenting the first album with Floor, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, so both setlists will be fairly similar, but there are enough unique songs in each (one from Wembley is specially notable) and differences in the performances of the same songs that's totally worth watching both

Sahara next pleeese. Want to add How’s The Heart, Acoustic version it’s with Troy and Floor if you need a live experience they also do Nemo same show. Love your reaction and breakdowns. Also non Nightwish try Post Modern Jutebox Creep( Radiohead cover) or Seven Nation Army( White Stripes). Both are sung by Hailey Rinehart. Post Modern Jutebox takes modern songs and turns them vintage, Jazz or Big band sound, they feature different singers, musicians etc. would like to see your take on this.
