I was there , and i cried in the end , i was happy and sad at the same time , happy cause they gave me the best show in my life and sad cause a magical night was over .
I wonder how one can ever emotionally recover from a NW show, I want to go to one of their shows next year but idk if it is a smart idea lol
they were all on fire that night. Tuomas has said that each song in that set was never sung better.
@@paulriddle7818 Yeah, The End of an Era, Wacken, Wembley and Tampere concerts are all legendary and perfect from the beginning till the end. Each unique and perfect in its own way.

Marko and Floor a musical marriage made in heaven.
Nightwish also always takes a mass photo with fans. They turn their backs to the fans and then let themselves be photographed with all fans in the background. You see it here and in every other concert.
Nightwish is so much more than just the band members we see on stage. Crewish.. they're just as important as the band.
Man, this music is so uplifting, too bad not many reactors react to it.
It's not a bad thing, it helps in making the world aware of Nightwish.

One name, Ville Lipiäinen, pops up all the time in connection to Nightwish. He has directed and filmed lots of Nightwish videos, live and official music videos. For at least 15 years.
I like that Floor in such after-concert photos makes herself just a little bit smaller next to Tuomas, just because she is just that tall. She is (on high heels, okay) taller than Tuomas with his hat on. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing, but it's one of those things that she shows she has a right set of mind: "No one is 'bigger' than the band itself".

One I think you haven't heard yet, I Want My Tears Back. Fantastic song, although probably a bit different than any of their songs you have heard, so far. I highly recommend the live in Buenos Aires version. The crowd is hype, the band is awesome, as always and it features Troy.

By the way, if you dig a little deeper into the lyrics you will find them deep - complexed and deep - just like all the compositions.

They did this at Tampere right before Greatest show and Emmpu walked out on the stage extension for his solo.
Not only was it the last song of the set. This was at the end of a year long world tour too. They had two more festival gigs after Wacken, then it was over.

How awesome would it be if they would rerecord Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum with Floor! I don't know why they don't do it?! I'm not a recording technician but I guess they only need Floor's vocals to be recorded in the studio and put them in the mix instead of Anette's vocal tracks. Anette's studio vocal work on those two albums isn't bad but damn I would love to have those two albums with Floor's vocals 😍😍 OK, some would argue we have live versions with Floor, but that is not the same as having studio version

Before this Floor and Troy were ask to become a fulltime band member but they couldn't tell back than to the fans. Floor told in an interview that she didn't hesistate to say yes. Troy was a touring with them a long time ago as a extra musician and recorded a few albums before with them. So it was instant yes as well....And on the Human II Nature Album he becomes a even bigger part as a musician and vocalist like in Harvest
Yes, it was apparently in the hotel bar after the first of the summer festivals, Sauna Open Air at Tampere, that Floor and Troy were both offered and accepted membership of Nightwish, but it had to be kept quiet due to "contractual reasons" (I don't know about Troy, but Floor had a recorded album with her own band ReVamp all ready to release, which may well have been the commitment concerned - the first hint to fans was at the final festival of the tour, M'era Luna 8 days after this, in the very emotional into to this song, when they announced it as the last ride of the tour, and Marco looked meaningfully at Floor and said, "Well, some of us may just be hanging around for a while".
On October 9th, after the realease of the ReVamp album, Floor and Troy were announced as permanent members.

Well, the rest of the band clearly agreed, and 8 weeks before Wacken - and it had been pretty clear since the Latin America leg that the fans were entirely happy with having paid for their tickets during Anette's tenure but being presented with Floor instead! I think it is in "Please Learn The Setlist In 48 Hours" that all you could hear backstage after the show was fans chanting her name, and that was the end of 2012!
Imaginaerum is a great album and you're still missing brilliant songs like Turn Loose the Mermaids, Slow Love Slow, Rest Calm and The Crow, The Owl and The Dove. Is this the only album you have on vinyl ?
Yeah the song is off Imaginaerum, not "the last ride" of the album though. But it's fitting for a live show. The credits track is the actual orchestral finale of the album.
It's certainly the best live album I own. It gives you an idea of how incredible Imaginaerum could have sounded.
Yes, key change at the end, a pattern used in quite some songs to increase the intensity towards the end...

Imaginaerum is the best Nightwish album without a doubt.
It and Human :||: Nature are joint 1st for me. I adore Imaginaerum.
And I just wish Floor had been the singer back then as well...

If you love the songs in imaginaerum, you should watch the movie they made, same title, after reacting to the songs. For Annette versions go mostly to music videos, live ones are maybe a bit disappointing after Floor, but only in regard of the vocals, the band is great as always. Scaretale music video is great, gives you a taste of the movie too.

@@marianneronnholm3711 Somebody messed up the encoding settings with 24 frames (NTSC) in stead of 25 frames (PAL) per second, resulting in a 4% slower speed. Fortunately the sound is digitally captured, so while slower it's not lower.
You are a guitar teacher but don't really say much about it. What do you think about Emppu's guitar here - and more important in general over the last years? I feel like since "Once" it has become less and less interesting. While Floor is amazing, their arangements are great, some of the Bass lines are awesome, Emppu has become more of a rhythm guitar player. He was way more dominant on the early albums. There is a youtube video "How to play Nightwish best guitar" and that basically sums it up pretty well. Sure you could add some, maybe even one or two newer songs, but the majority of the great guitar stuff was on their older albums. Yes, an Annette song. Definitely a key change. Up a whole step from D to E. This is a shorter song, but very good. No need to watch credits for this one. Only for TGSoE, because of the music and spoken words from Dawkins. You have come a long way in regard to your opinion of Nightwish. If I recall, you were kind of lukewarm on your opinion at first. I think it is natural for a musician to approach a new band with some healthy skepticism at first. You know, "How is the guitarist technically"? "How about the singer & the songwriting"? It would seem that from your comments you have settled on enjoying what this band does and how they do it? Great job. Hope all is well with you and your recent bride. Peace.
