Thank you - with an ssd and a 7 year old version of Linux my vaio has a new lease of life! I broke a few tabs on the front of the keyboard but otherwise the job went ok. Not easy but not really hard either, only fiddly
@aabandee only 5mm will fit, maybe if you remove the 8mm from it's case... but it's best to use 5mm, RunCore or Renice also have very good SSD to suit the HDD model sony P that was sold world-wide

These pocket laptops suck you can’t upgrade the ram only the hard drive, also there’s no fan so they over heat and cause problems big time
