It’s dramatic
You can see the sadness in Snape's voice while casting it to Dumbledore.
I can‘t see voices, sorry dude

His Avada Kedavra was not effective. He didn’t mean it. Dumbledore died of fall damage oof.

Snape saying Avada Kedavra was the saddest… 😭😭😭
Cuz he's the only who really don't want to kill but to mercifully put Dumbledore out of his misery. You can even notice the colour of the spell is a little bit different.
Fun fact:
Snape, despite using this spell, didn't really do ANYTHING to Dumbledore . He didn't kill him because the caster must genuinely want to kill someone. Otherwise the spell won't work.
@@cookieman2684 so, he just push him with some green magic energy and Dumbledore died from falling
Well, it was the best choice they had.
@@cookieman2684 except Dumbledore asked him to be the one who kills him so Snape did do it with the intent to kill.
I like that every character has their own style. Voldemort delivers his 'Avada Kedavras' with the gusto of a stage magician, like he's performing Shakespeare in front of a full house. Bellatrix is more unhinged; she does it with an unnerving and murderous sort of glee. And Moody and Pettigrew both spit out their killing curses like they've just stepped on a lego, but are trying to refrain from dropping a full-on F-bomb.
That's not really Moody, that's Barty Crouch Jr. pretends to be Moody with polyjuice potion.
snape’s was very effortless compared to voldemort , gives the impression that snape is more wise and humble than voldemort
@@tristanlau1213are you sure it was him all along not just that one time when he tried to hurt harry ?
@@henrywelsh9369 The moment "Moody" entered the dining hall. The ceiling starts storming, that's the castle's ancient magic telling everyone something is wrong with that guy. Snape definitely had the best delivery when killing Dumbledore to ensure Draco's survival and get Voldemort to believe he was completely loyal to him.
And if the plan worked properly and Draco hadn’t disarmed dumbledore the power of the elder wand would’ve been lost forever
never forget, that in a very small corridor, with basically nowhere for anyone to go, goyle managed to miss the killing curse on not just one target, but three targets! thats a special kind of ineptitude
Before using fiendfyre without experience and getting killed by it
And then attempting Fiendfyre, a spell even Aurors can't cast and getting burnt down to ashes
To be honest, that was just a missed opportunity on Rowling's part. In book 4 it was stated that you need both skill and intent to get the killing curse to work. Then in book 7 she had the perfect chance to demonstrate what happens if someone is hit by a sub-par killing curse.
@@susnatamaiti1971 how come aurors can’t cast it?
@@alceusrydan6237 Fiendfyre is a cursed fire. You need intense hate and rage to fuel Fiendfyre and you must have enough magical core to supply to the fire....Then it assumes the shape of an animal and the fire becomes sentient. Based on theory Avada Kedavra was also the last spell used by Ron before Neville killed Nagini
Unfortunately, we didn’t hear Ron actually say it
Yeah and I could see why he would want to use it. I mean not only himself but Hermione were in great danger. Interesting that in the books its also most likely the spell Molly used to finish Bellatrix, and yeah it really does seem likely.
1. The book states "Both women were fighting to kill" so she had the needed intent
2. They state Molly' "curse" flew through the air, not spell or Hex but Curse, and also that it was a green spell
3. "For the smallest space of time she knew what happened" basically saying she died instantly.
@@LegoManiac_101 non verbal spell
Then Voldy's soul inside her would've died on the spot, and she would've been knocked unconscious, as the killing curse penetrates all kinds of defensive spells.

And then there is Voldemorts *UUUUAAAAVUAAAADA KEDUUUUAVRUUUA*
0:17 Wands don't connect like that in combat, especially against avada kedavra. The only time wands connect is on goblet of fire, but thats because Voldemort's and Harry's wands have the core from the same phoenix, and the effect is very different: they actually get circled by some sort of golden cage and start floating in the air.
You can't use protego or any other spell against avada kedavra, you just have to dodge

Same lol 🤣
You forgot the one when Voldy did audibly kill a random death eater on the overlook when the trio managed to destroy another horcrux, the goblet iirc. Also another random death eater killed one wizard before Arthur deadlocking the second cast with expelliarmus. Also when the death eaters crashed Fleur's and Bill's wedding. I'd wager more killing curse were cast in Deathly Hallows, even between Harry and Voldemort's duel within the castle where he was buying time for the others to kill Nagini but those were blocked by simple nonverbal protegos or some sort which should be impossible.
They were blocked because of Harry’s sacrificial protection

All Revelio Casts would be like 5 weeks long.
Always pissed me off how Goyle had the balls to cast it out of nowhere like it's nothing; add to the fact that you need so much darkness and willpower to effectively cast the killing curse.
Actually, you don’t need that much darkness. According to Bellatrix, all you need to do to cast an unforgivable curse is to really want to use it. Hence why Harry could use it on that Death Eater who spit on a teacher’s face.
Was it not Crabbe who was actually the evil (ish) one of the Slytherin trio? But they made it Goyle due to Crabbe being cut in the later films.
Goyle was the psychopathic one in the movie universe, so it makes sense.

What about when Voldemort used it on a Death Eater for saying “My Lord.”
Yeah! Before the Hogwarts battle in Deathly Hallows if I remember correctly.

Well, according to lore there was a part on the book that states that Avada Kedabra cant be reflected, and can destroy horrocruxes as well as basilisk venom buuuut, as other forbidden curses work, you have to mean it you have to WANT (in this case) KILL someone so Ron didnt actually had the guts nor the will to do it, also Neville was supposed to cut the snake, not Ron, it was Nevilles moment
@@rodmusic3787 Book lore does not apply to movie lore, since they don't share continuity. Besides, Movie-Ron definitely had both the guts and the will, because
1. He and his girlfriend were in mortal danger.
2. Nagini had to be killed anyway.
3. They were seen trying to STAB the damn snake to death just moments before.

The journey from Aabra ka Daabra to Avada kedavra
the first time I read the series, I was stunned when I read Hedwig die.
It's not all Avada Kedavra. You missed one in DH2 when Voldemord killed one of his servant.
I saw somewhere that based on good intentions (due to it being a mercy killing); or alternatively not wanting it but doin so to help him out; that the spell turned blue when Snape used it on Dumbledore. Well that's all well and good, I can't help but wonder... Why does it look blue during Voldemort's duel with Dumbledore? Would there be a legit in story reason for this at all or is it something that wasnt meant to mean anything as far as the VFX artists were aware but accidentally raised the question upon inspection? Cuz I can't think of a reason why he'd prefer not to take him outta the equation or anytime when Voldemort ever used Avada Kedavra with any good intentions.
I kinda like that when it’s used it replicates the sound of rushing wind as is described in the books.
