It's not that Leaf fans realize the importance of toughness as we have been crying for said toughness since Tucker. It's Leafs management (specifically Dubas) that was shying away from that type of player until St. Louis literally willed the cup into existence on the backs of what the Leafs clearly lacked. Good on him for pivoting when needed.

Matthews was a beast last night. He was hitting,he was blocking by far the best player on the icing. And although he got the empty-netter,Kerfoot played horrible last night.
