- Since I was having technical issues I switched to the Habs stream but there was no play by play.
Hutson Move 5:44
Hutson Move/Assist 6:00
Beck Goal 11:44
That Cowan kid is pretty good
How Dare you. He's wearing a white jersey. Go laughs Go
In thought Lisowsky was more impressive, I barely noticed Hudson.
Yeah he was so good that he cost Canada at the world juniors by doing absolutely nothing the whole tourney
@@patriciajames6601What a stupid thing to say. If you're not a hockey fan that's fine but to try to insult anybody is just disgusting
Was a slick no look pass to him on that goal. Sheesh he slipped out of coverage quick
Even though I don't always comment, I wanted you to know that I watch every single post and super appreciate everything you do and the time you take to do it! Thank You!
Yeah it's a treat to see the prospects in action! Go Habs Go!
@@amsro9094 I also like to watch because it helps me to become more familiar with some of the prospects that I'm maybe not so familiar with, too.
I appreciate that more then you know!
@@harryhood1919 You and me won for "our" contributions to the r/Habs subreddit.
Many there love your content, keep up the great work! I'll keep posting for you!

Man there's really people out there that think Hutson isn't NHL ready lol
Might be ready but many a good D man was destroyed because they were used right out of Jrs, totally different from a forward. Nothing would make Leaf fans laugh more than watching Hudson's confidence totally destroyed then shipped out for a 4th in 2 yrs.
He is born ready !!
@@Calers-gu1ibbro ur saying “used straight out of junior” as if he didn’t play 2 seasons in bu before coming here
when tf are they supposed to use him then
@@Calers-gu1ib Put him top 4 with Savard, and let him do his thing same as last year. If he struggles somehow then let him dominate the AHL and bring him back up towards the end of the season. There's literally no way of messing this up. The kid is already a big step above AHLers he'd just go down and shit on everyone every game
This guy is ready for the big league 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Im a leafs fan but man hutson is good! Wish we had a crazy offensive d man like hutson… he had some really good chances too. But i really liked the goal from edstrom! I thought definitely best player on habs that game! But best player mightve been easton or minten great play from leafs 1st line
Thanks for the upload. Good game
Thanks for watching.
8:24 Mailloux with a big hit
😂
Subban would be proud, now he just needs to find Marchand next.
@@amsro9094 for real
You can tell some of them aren’t ready for the crowd in Montreal. It’ll scare a lot of kids. Hope they all succeed!
Well if they boo their own team in Feb as enthusiastically as they boo the Leafs here yeah it will get to them.
Among the rookies, Hudson looked like Bobby Orr.
There was no "Hudson" in the game! At least get his name right!
@@timdasilva2806 must be a Leaf fan mocking Hab fans, the only time you notice Hutson was when he scored that goal.
@@Calers-gu1ib I'm a die hard RANGERS fan!

@@Calers-gu1ib SORRY!
Engstrom nice outlet pass 1:18
Hutson Move 5:43
Hutson Move/Assist, Thorpedo one-timer 6:00
Great steal and good zone play ended with an own body check. 8:13 Mailloux doing his best PK vs Marchand impression. :D
Reinbacher with a good stick and a nice break out pass. 8:46
Great zone entry rush and zone time on the power play. 9:38 probably should have shot once or twice there.
Beck Goal, Reinbacher assist 11:44
Thanks man
Le 3/4 du temps il n'est pas sur la glace.
Engatrom looked good too
Disappointed Larose wasn't called back on Sunday, felt he had a pretty good game, granted that might just be me voting for the underdogs
If he plays for Montreal he probably is 😂
Hutson is gonna be a star, he already owns the ice
What are you watching? He did nothing special here and these are only prospects. He'll be eaten alive in the NHL
Only habs prospect that stood out in the game and actually felt like he contributed. I smell a Calder coming from this kid if he plays 70 games in the nhl
Habs fan here not a calder winner this year but will be in the top 5, I hope
@@madjack3152 nah bro trust me. He will be in contention for it. He is just way to dynamic and mtl doesnt have that atm. So he will be for the mtl moving forward so that's why i think MSL will let him do his thing and if it works then easy calder
@@madjack3152 so many great rookies this year but top 5 possible
I think beck stood out the most , great speed decision making and combativy along the boards , made a couple errors but I like his game
@@samueldavisdavisbossqc4172 you think? Beside his faceoff abilities. I havent noticed him much on the ice
thoughts on Mesar? Nice edges, transition, creates space w small passes. Hope, Hutson will get spot on roster 1st game
Mesar has a lot of work to do, the speed/skating are legit as is the vision/playmaking but he can be a frustrating player to watch at times. Will be very interesting to see how the new coach Pascal Vincent does in helping develop his talents.
Hutson will get eaten alive in the NHL. He's not ready
Si y a des sceptiques à propos d'Hutson faudra repasser !
Cleanest D by land miles there for this second highlight series was Reinbacher again. Plus he's the one dangling at center to set up #57 who then set up Beck for that snipe. Very good rush by Heineman too, probably would've scored had the puck not crossed the line a fraction of a second before already.
Also, I'd say pretty risky all for offense move from Pascal Vincent overall to pair up Hutson with (even more so while poor Quentin Miller is out), makes a lot of sense for PP but for the usual rotation not as much. But maybe that's a good thing, after a full season working on that a lot -especially when Arber was there with him- it's up to Logan now to take up the Defensive reigns on his own and be much more responsible than he was in his first camps, seems he's getting there quite nicely. Still a few kinks to even out, sure he's no Reinbacher, but it's already looking very encouraging.
To whoever would read this wrong, when i say "Cleanest", i don't mean he's the one who stood out the most, that's defo Hutson. It's just that David showed a good deal why he's so highly touted on defense, ground coverage etc and he's starting to show a bit of that offensive side too.
@@lauig So he's like a guhle ? Very solid all around but nothing exceptional so he goes a bit unnoticed ?
@@bravepotatoe7513 i'd say better in certain aspects. For instance Guhle has become very clinch in blocking out shots laying out his body on the ice, one of the very best in the whole league on that as a matter of fact, but David from what i understand has more the type of game that help prevent said shot to happen in the first place. It's in how he reads the game, anticipate, position himself, cuts the angles, covers ground fast to push away the forward etc. But yeah, overall a lot of tiny super well executed details that tends to go unnoticed unless he misses them for once and that shot does happen.
I thought the habs prospect pool was elite
Ivan Demidov
One game lmao
jacob fowler best goalie habs prospect, ivan demidov one of the best prospect if not the best, micheal hage, eichel comparison, all of them wasnt there, no one was there to help offense
Big yikes for the Habs rebuild here
@@kempontario Pitiful rage bait at best
Cowan, Minten better
I wouldn't say so.
@@harryhood1919 I was impressed how Minten stripped the puck from that guy on the breakaway.
@@Calers-gu1ib what was impressive about it, Hutson was at the end of his shift.
@@harryhood1919 why, was Hutson the guy he stripped the puck from?
Yes if we are talking about the same play, although I plan on going back and re-watching this game as there was a lot going on.

who was the goalie for montreal?
It was supposed to be Quentin Miller (4th round, '23), but he got injured and is out 6 months. So they brought in Xhekaj's teammate from the Bulldogs Matteo Drobac and they invited Samuel Richard who leafs fans should know well

@@harryhood1919 I watched the entire game yesterday and today. I didn't anything special in either game from any of them. They all have their moments and Montreal has a great team of prospects but I just haven't seen anybody stick out. I'm not insulting, just pointing out facts. I think you guys are putting too much pressure on this kid. He's not ready
J'aime mieu le hockey sens de lane hutson que les montés de pk subban je pense que la foule commence a comprendre comment il est lol
Watched legorocks99 video and Hudson was barely visible, you had to check the jersey numbers to know he was on the ice. Lisowsky was the guy that impressed me, wasn't he a 3rd rd draft pick?
Exactly. All the Habs fans claiming he's "elite" and ready for the NHL are going to be mad when he gets destroyed.
That's not easton cowan so you're wrong but sure.
Cowan was ok but not as noticeable as Hutson who was clearly better.
@@harryhood1919You clearly didn't watch the full game and are biased, but hey, you do you

Gonzalez Thomas Wilson Kevin Lopez Donna
Boring ahh game
I like Hutson but he might have the worst shot in the league by a mile something he really has to work on.
Since the '80's, no U-20 blueliners in NCAA history have scored more goals then Lane Hutson (30), next closes, Luke Hughes (27), Jack Johnson (26), Zach Werenski (20)
@@harryhood1919 I specifically said shooting not his ability to get points
@@alexpayne1364 if you can't shoot, then how is it no one in 40+ years have been able to score more goals then him? Shooting and goals go hand in hand.
@@harryhood1919 his hardest shot speed clocked in at 70mph the avg NHL speed is 81mph u don't have to shoot hard and well to score.
1. U don't need to shoot hard when the goalie is screened
2. U don't need to shoot hard if u are closer to the goalie
3. U don't need to shoot hard if u prefer to pass
4. U don't need to shoot hard if u disguise the release well enough
The truth is his shot mechanics suck, he shoots slow, his release is bad never even seen him snipe a hard one-timer. What I'm saying is that the NCAA u might have been able to get by but in the NHL his shot is frankly one of the worst.
🫠
sorry but Maillioux stinks
I thought Hutson was mostly invisible the Leafs prospects were th ebetter team better skaters stronger on the puck won most board battles and we got very few actual scoring chances.
The most glaring thing for me besides habs falling on their ass was speed our smaller players were not faster and not even really more skilled either.
The 3 players who took the SO for the Leafs were 3 of the better players in the game whiel the Habs only one guy and I called it Hutson scored the only goal.
Funny because Tony and his sidekick were not happy habs prospects were rated 9th in the NHL but if this game was any indication we may need to drop them down another spot or two.
The habs have NOBODY to rag the puck protect it and cycle it they lose the puck quickly and then it's out.We know Hutson can do that at the College level but in the NHL he is going to be less impactful.Obviously if we get better forwards then eyah less pressure on Hutson to do it all but we don't have anyone.
If you thought Hutson was mostly invisible, you should go see an eye doctor quickly, that likely won't get better on it's own so I recommend seeking treatment.
Hutson was the most visible player by far. You didn t watch the game
He is way out of position...a definite liability. He will get exposed big time in the NHL.
Seen how much he's exposing the other team every time he touch the puck, that won't be an issue at all.
They said the same thing about Quinn Hughes
