I got the original aurora, back in 1996 when it was called collages. I got the compact in burgundy and it's beautiful. Many years later I managed to get an original, unused, classic collages in tan, and I've subsequently obtained a classic auroras in burgundy. In quality, the original collages is much better, but the whole collages/aurora range is scrumptious. I wish I'd just bought the entire range when I could have done! The chocolate is gorgeous!!
So sorry for my delayed reply!! Carol- I have an original burgundy too in classic size- and get this- I got it for $40. I couldn't believe it. she is beautiful and the leather is just divine!!! I havent used classic size in almost 5 years but I won't ever let her go. My chocolate compact has gotten softer and better over time. I lover her!!!
Hi there such a wonderful flip through - I'm literally binge watching your videos. 🤣 I laughed out loud when you were going through your impeccable budgeting method. Not at the method of course, but the "cashless envelopes" and your description of just seeing something on social media and then having to immediately buy it! To my thinking the definition of a true planner addict! After watching your intro to you Franklin Covey Vintage Aurora - I deemed it my perfect planner and spent the wee hours of last night trying to find it's twin. None to be found , but the FC store actually had the best price of all for one in plum. Did I actually NEED this planner immediately - HECK NO! However, I have a dream for it to be - like yours - my one stop catch all. It's going to take me a while to compile all I need for it - but much of that will be things you've highlighted in your planner videos. It's so ironic - I'm retired now, but when I worked it was out of an FC broken down into 15 minute time slots of work tasks and meetings. I vowed to never have an FC planner in retirement - I was cutting the cord and becoming a free person. Well - also ironic - my work classification was literally PLANNER - I can't stop planning - but what I've needed a good planner that's both a delight and functional. You've shown me a very good template for how I can accomplish this - I am so appreciative. In my budget I have an column for unexpected expenses - but from your video today looks like I need a "dedicated cash" envelop and budget for planner expenditures! Thanks for walking us through your planners and methods - of all the videos on you tube for planner people - thumbs down yours are my FAVORITE OF ALL TIME. Best to you and yours - Michelle PS I remember my Mom kidding me "When your braces come off I'm going to be rich - I'll save for a trip to Europe" And so it was - off to Greece in a couple of years. Can the FC aurora rings be currently bought or it’s vintage and not sold at all anymore unless it’s second hand? I know the chocolate is a bit of a unicorn piece but I mean more so any aurora, such beautiful craftsmanship ❤
I love the Aurora and I am so glad my boss bought it for me back in 2017 it is definitely one of my most prized possessions. Yes, you can buy it on Franklin Planner site but only in Classic size (half letter). If you join Facebook groups like FRANKLIN COVEY PLANNER MARKETPLACE- they are ALWAYS selling Auroras. If you have a Facebook, it would be worth it to join. You get alerted anytime someone sells a vintage. Hope that helps!!
