- I talk about how to use the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother Crib Toy. While this is more of a "how to" video, I still give a bit of my opinion about whether this was something we used a lot or not. I will tell you right here that we have actually had this installed on the crib bed since we first received this thing. Maddie still loves it!

Hi there..just found out your channel ..new subscriber.i was actually looking for the reviews on this product and I found yours the best..I am curious if my 13th month old son will need it or not ? since he is not a good sleeper and I always have to play rhymes or something to make him sleep...what would you suggest ? I will appreciate your response in fact anyone's advice who is using this product..regards
Hi there! First of all, thanks so much for your compliment on the video. Also, thank you so much for subscribing to the channel. We had a lot of problems with Maddie when she was around the same age (we are in another phase and have a totally different sleep pattern problem now, but that's a different story). Anyway, this worked really well for us and she was usually asleep within the first 10 minutes of us leaving the room with this on - of course, like everything there is no guarantee as every child is different. Please let me know what you decide and whether this works for you or not. I wish you the best!
@@MaddiesDaddy Thanks for replying. .I just ordered .. let's see how it works for us..finger cross
Please do let me know - I’d be curious to know whether it works for you.
Bought this used for $12 bucks. Looks like new and I can’t wait to use it with my 2.5 month old.
Thank you for this video. My husband bought one at a garage sale and had no idea how to place it on the crib.
Even though this product is not relevant to my kids because of my kids ages, I would buy this you for myself just because of this awesome review
Haha Thanks - and we would love to see a video of this hanging on your bed. 😂
Thank you so much for this video! I was interested in it and am so happy to see it in action. :)
You are absolutely welcome!!!
Great review so well done! Will help a lot of people
Appreciate that a bunch! We truly do hope it helps out a lot of people.
Does anyone know the names of the songs? To search for the original songs too 💖
Awesome review!! Really detailed and great quality for a reviews channel :D
Hey there. I appreciate the watch and comment. There are so many kid toys to sort through to figure out what’s good and what’s not.
Maddie's Daddie and lots of toys to collect :) win WIN ^___^
Very helpful review. Thanks
Of course! Glad we could help
did you know that baby einstein is a classic cartoon from 90s and 2000s
We sure did!!
THE NOSTALGIA BRO
Yep!
@@MaddiesDaddy I had bought this for a friend of mine’s little baby years ago and I had no idea it was made by Disney. I am I fan of all things Disney and I just might buy one for myself
@TabiClemmons how cool!!
What size batteries and how many does it take? Want to get this for my granddaughter
Hey, this is kenzie!!!! I work at the front desk at the Gaylord 😊 I didn't know this even existed! I think Jentry would like it a lot! Thanks for the awesome review 😄
Hey Kenzie! So awesome to meet you and thanks for subscribing to the channel. I always welcome feedback especially from young parents so feel free to offer any suggestions at all for the channel. Glad you enjoyed the review - let me know what your favorite review is if you get a chance to watch more.
Hey how you and the kiddo doing? Hope you are doing well 😀
Thanx so much fixed mine , was stuck in demo mode fixed it all up 👍👌
You’re welcome! Glad to help! I’m guessing it was the plastic tab?
Maddie's Daddy ya it was jammed in and bent the other tab easy fix 👍
What is the age range for children who can use this?
Infant to 3 years old or so.
I want this. I cannot find this exact one. I like this one better.
How do u turn the lights off on it so it just plays the Sounds, sometimes the blue light is distracting and it takes longer for my son to fall asleep
When you turn on the main switch, you can put it in a mode that will only play the music or sea sounds and the light will not come on. It's greatness - you can also hit the "check crib" button when the light is off for a quick night light check and then hit it again to turn it off :-)
Were you able to figure this out?
Thanks so much how fo I replace a battery 🔋
I love it I got it again for my new baby
It's awesome!!
We have this toy we still have it it's really old we don't have the remote and the crib attach anymore it plays the same songs as yours
epic thumbnail work!
Thanks my friend - appreciate that much!
Do you know where i can get just the crib attachment? I dont have that part but i have the main base and the remote.
My son loves this product.
It is a great product. I just looked and I don’t think it is sold separately anywhere so your options may be limited. One idea is to contact baby Einstein at 1-800-230-8190 and ask. The other option would be to post on a social website stating that you are in search of or (ISO) this attachment. Good Luck!
Maddie's Daddie awesome! Thanks so much!!
FriendshipMaiden Would love to know if you got an answer from Baby Einstein...please let us know what your experience was if you don’t mind. 😀
Maddie's Daddie Hi sorry for the delay in response. I ended up contacting the customer service people for the Soother and asked them for the crib attachment. They ended up giving me a number to write on the front and back of my Soother that I currently have and they are sending me a whole new one in the mail. I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do with the one that I have now but I'm hoping I can keep it and have two
How cool is that that they sent you a brand new one?! For the other one that doesn’t have a hanger, that could just be part of the toys your LO plays with or maybe even for road trips. Thanks for getting back to me about how they handled this - I’m impressed!
Nice review ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏻
How do you take out the buckle that’s what I’m having a hard time doing
There’s a little button on the back that will release the buckle and it will slide right out.
Start at 2:38 and you’ll see me slide the buckle in and then slide it off using the button/latch
I just bought this for my daughter (her name is Madison as well lol whatta kawinkadink!) over the weekend & she seems to like it; so far so good!
However, the only complaint I do have about this product is that although theres a vast variety of soothing music to choose from; there's only 1 ocean sound available - & in my opinion, its a aggressively loud lol even on the lowest volume. besides that tho, I'm really diggin product & PRRAAY 🙏 it helps Madz to stay asleep thru out the night 💤🌠🌞
thank you for this video, btw!
You're welcome - has this product been helping your Madison?
@@MaddiesDaddy I actually had to end up returning it! babygirl seemed to like it up til about 2:30am on the 3rd night, when she was woken up to the sound of the 'ocean' & the aquarium part wasn't lit up along w it - then she completely lost all her shit & didn't want nothin to do w it from that point forward lol so now I'm back to searching for something I can do or some kind of toy I can buy that will help her sleep in her crib thru out the night. lmk if you have any suggestions!
@@brit3272 Oh No!!!! That sucks! Sorry to hear that. Hmmm... are you looking for a light up toy or a musical toy? There is this giraffe thing we had that maddie liked to sleep with (only in her carseat) - if she squeezed it, it would play "soothing lullabies". Let me find the link for you... Here it is: ruclips.net/video/I8iXKywvsm4/видео.html
The individual star need batteries?
Yes if you’re talking about the remote, it also needs batteries.
@@MaddiesDaddy awesome thank you so much but are they AA or AAA
@@sonisantana1399 honestly I don’t remember - we don’t have this anymore. Sorry
@@MaddiesDaddy that's OK thank you very much
Does anyone know what model motor this has? All I can see on the motor body is SMC Motor but no model number. I need to find a new motor because this one has finally burned out and my daughter misses the sound of the fish moving.
I have no idea - do you think it would be cheap enough to buy a new one? I mean if you can find a motor and it’s cheap and you know how to do that, that’s pretty rad.
@@MaddiesDaddy well I'm pretty terrible at soldering but the motor shouldn't be more than $7 at the high end, plus shipping, and it's not difficult to get to in the device. My daughter has had this machine since she was 1 and had to have surgery and each individual soother will sound slightly but distinguishably different from the next identical model. At this point, and she has stated as much in agreement, replacing the whole thing is out of the question. The model number for the motor isn't printed on its housing anywhere, but once I figure it out, I'll get a new one in this system one way or another and I'll make a video on how to do it.
Great please share the link here when you make the video. I’d love to see it and you make a good point about each one sounding different.
@°•Decimated Dave•° That sounds exactly like my experience. Taking the device apart and greasing the moving parts at friction points and manually getting the motor 'unstuck' worked for about six months until that stopped working. I think the motor just needs to be replaced but there's a resistor board soldered to the motor to reduce the current going to the motor (probably for fish speed regulation). I haven't gotten around to actually doing this yet but I would just make sure you move that resistor to the new motor. But try applying some grease to the friction points first. That may be all yours needs.
It’s pretty good but the remote for ours never worked.
Can you ever use the lights and have the fish move without any sound?
Came here to ask this same question
Yes - you can set it so the music doesn’t play, but you will still hear the sound of the motor moving the fish.
Yes - you can set it so the music doesn’t play, but you will still hear the sound of the motor moving the fish.
Is it loud like a motor when the sea creatures are moving or is that just the mic picking up that sound louder? I think this is so cute.
The mic for sure bc it was laying on the crib - ... I mean you can hear them moving, but there’s an option where they don’t move.
The problem is there's only 2 sound settings loud as shit or super loud as shit.
Wish there were different coloured lights
I hear ya - I guess they kept it blue bc it’s under water but still a great product we highly recommend for helping with sleep.
How do I take it off demo mode?
Pull the plastic tab out of the back! 😀
Plz price
Bought this for my 1month old. It won’t stay on. And the remote doesn’t work
Did you pull the plastic tab out in the back? It may be still in demo mode.
mines brand new and won’t play past 5 seconds and yes batteries are newb
See if there is a plastic tab in the back - if there is one, pull it out bc the plastic will keep it in demo mode. 😀👍

hi there--I understand that this is not exactly a "screen" but how does it differ from the overall concept of a screen/screen time? I bought one but I am having trouble reconciling that it isn't essentially the same concept.
Did anyone notice if this thing makes really loud vibration noises when the turtle is moving?? Bought it used so I’m hoping that’s why…
I got mine at a thrift store and mine didn’t come with the remote or the crib attachment
Oh that’s a bummer but we didn’t really use the remote that much. The attachment for the crib was great though. How are you using it now?
@@MaddiesDaddy I’ve put on a night stand
That sounds like a good way to do it! 😃
@@MaddiesDaddy ya it is and how old is your daughter Maddie now
@savannahbarrsamandcolbyand1515 she’s already 8 and my youngest is 4 now! Time is flying!
What batteries does it take?
4 C batteries :))
Thanks I couldn’t remember
I just bought one of these for my 3 month old son, and it works but it doesn't play for long at all, I can't get it to play for more than 20 seconds😫
It might be in demo mode - check to see if there is a plastic tab on the back - If so, pull it out and it should work properly.
Any success?
Mine turn off every 5-10 seconds. I can't get it to stop. I have to physically press button every 5-10 second... And the songs are out of order.
Oh wow that’s weird - I’ve never heard of that happening! Can you return it for a new one? You might try Target as they have a really good return policy or maybe even WalMart - sometimes they will take purchases not even from WalMart (at least they use to) - also, you could contact the manufacturer- let me know, I’m curious what they say - other thing is, maybe it’s stuck in demo mode? Have you pulled the little plastic tab out of the back ? Let me know
Did you ever get your Baby Einstein fixed? I had a thought just now that maybe it's stuck in demo mode - there's a plastic tab in the back of the unit that sometimes gets jammed in...that needs to be pulled out. Let me know what you did with yours.
It dies too fast
Tyler Do you think the batteries die too fast or do you think it stops playing music too fast?
Maddie's Daddy I think the batteries die too fast. The timing of the music and lights is perfect. My daughter loves it buts she’s only 2 months and I’ve replaced batteries twice.
Maddie's Daddy for a $50 product, it would have been nice to come with a charger but I understand that some people see the downside in that as well.
That’s interesting - I don’t remember the batteries dying fast when we used it before. What kind of batteries are you using and do you always leave it on standby? We would always turn ours to the off setting after baby fell asleep. Maybe this will help?
