      @anilachar323 5 лет назад +10

      Since you do, maybe you could help validate the story I read about GH in Santa Fe.
      Seems, once while he was driving down the city streets, he slowed down at a section that was cordoned off for a film location shoot. He saw an AD directing some extras. He went upto the AD and asked if there was a slot for him, an elderly man. The AD, not recognizing the film icon, politely declined!

    • @deepakraina6859
      @deepakraina6859 3 года назад +4

      @@anilachar323 It's true, he said that in an interview. Actually celebrities look a little different off camera and without makeup plus this incident happened in 2011 so it was 6 years after his retirement. So it's no surprise, if I or you were indulged in our work and an aged, REALLY aged Gene Hackman without makeup and off camera would come and ask us we might not recognize him either.

    Gene Hackman is one of the nicest actors in Hollywood history -- with the exception of Dustin Hoffman -- but whenever Gene was on a movie, an actor would come along and say to him, "Mr. Hackman, would you help my friend who's directing his first movie?" Gene Hackman almost always said, "Alright." That's the main reason he has won so many Oscars. It's also since he's a humanitarian as well. His only failure was that he did not recommend that Hedy Lamarr should receive a lifetime achievement Oscar; but nobody's perfect -- Victor Isaac Alexander

    I remember when my brother and I plus some friends went to go see Enemy of the State. When he broke out the Spanish we just joked with each other that now you know he's from our hometown of San Bernardino.

    I thought he died. I don't know why or where I got that from. I'm very happy to find out he is alive lol because I enjoyed his acting. I wish him good health and a great retirement. I do miss him though :(
