I like tudia but the Spigen slim armor is the ultimate case for the pixel fold and i have at least 12 different case's for this phone already, it just covers it up very well and still just as slim as the rest of my cases
I've always been a spigen fan, that's what Im leaning towards but I been looking at the pitaka but I'm not sold on the aramid fiber cases yet at least for drop protection
@@chaseivey28 me too, as much as I like aramid fiber cases, they don't do much for protection and I have a few phones that can amen me on it lol, but the slim armor from Spigen makes the camera side flat which I like a lot and their screen protector works darn good with it, no gap at all between the case and the screen protector. 🔥
The issue with the Pixel Fold imo is that the more 'square like' front screen is inherently more vulnerable to being shattered by dropping onto a rough hard surface (Z Fold being thinner is less susceptible, though I broke mine 😂). It's also heavy & camera bar is prominent. I personally would like a bump style mini case like the Surface Duo. It's a great great phone but battery life a little worse than my Z Fold 4 in my subjective experience.
Is there a Pitaka case yet? I believe Pitaka magnetic cases are the best case there are. They integrate MagSafe-like magnets even before MagSafe came out on iPhones. Why aren’t more phone manufacturers stuffing magnets in their phones I don’t understand.
I'm using a Spigen case which looks a bit like the one you have profiled here. I'm really enjoying the book style of use right now. I think the Pixel Fold feels better in hand with a case And I also miss the power button/fingerprint reader being on the bottom. Cheers brother
Awesome review, man! It's a good take on the Pixel fold case. Btw, I am Jewel from Caseborne. We are a small Texas-based company that provides top-notch phone protection. We love to send you a FREE case. Would you give us a shot?
I have to balance where I'm spending, and to be honest I don't like their case. I don't want to added width on from the hinge cover. Probably will skip it. Lord knows they won't send it to me lol.
Does pixel not have a setting like galaxy for back swipe sensitivity, specifically for cases like this? I know I had to turn mine up on fold 4 for thick covers
bought this case.... its absolute garbage. does not protect the hinge (even extend out far enough)... the power and finger print reader button cutout was an afterthought and can be difficult to get at some angles.. the height of the front cover is so INSANELY tall that it is just about impossible to get to the dock or other things requiring the edge of the screen.
I didn't have issues getting to the power button, but if you have bigger fingers it could be a problem. Same goes for touching the edge of the screen. Like I said in the video, could be annoying and if you've got big fingers it'll be potentially worse. To be fair, it doesn't claim or try to protect the hinge though.
@@scaryifliteral "To be fair, it doesn't claim or try to protect the hinge though" yeah, its totally unecessary to protect the hinge on an $1800 phone. :/ - thats like buying life insurance to cover everything except being dead from natural causes. it makes no sense. had the sides extended out so that the two halves of the case met flush when opened (like most other cases do) - it would have offered just the tiniest sliver of protection for the hinge. if the case were $12-20... it may be excusable. at $40-50... its a deal breaker.
I don't typically tell people what to buy or what's necessary for them. I just showed the case, said what I thought and assume people will make purchases that are good for them. I personally never use cases for foldables that add the bulk often associated with hinge coverings. I actually have gone totally caseless on my Fold 4 for the last maybe 4 months without issue. This case leaves a gap over the hinge that's tiny enough that it'd take a freak accident for something to hit the hinge when opened. Otherwise, you bought a thin case that doesn't cover the hinge. I can't say I understand being upset about that unless you were misled in some way.
For the algorithm. ✊
latercase with front screen protector was a must. outstanding imo
Red latercase on mine is awesome its like having no case on it for me. keeps it thin, why i got insurance on it

Not sure everyone knows but u can double tap the back and assign and action to it.. I double tap my back and it turns on the Flashlight,
Back in 2018 when i had Nokia 6.1, the only good case for it was by Tudia. Good brand, like spigen
Best case for the first gen Pold. I just ordered the dbrand case to see how it goes...

I made the surface number work on mine heatgun baby
Nice keyboard btw.

Working on getting something from them. Will be looking at something similar pretty soon as well I hope. Thinborne.
The himge side is a bit pointy i dont care for and the bottom lip its arough. But better than most cases
I think I'll go with the spigan front screen protector and the Iq matte for the inside.
What about the Google case? Thoughts in that one?
I don't like the Otterbox case or the plastic screen protector for the duo 2

Do we need to put a screen protector on the outside screen? Also, which one do you recommend if we do. Film or tempered glass?
I've not tested any just yet, but since it's flat you could go tempered glass easily.
I got Dbrands grip case and they postponed it till August :/
Does this case have magsafe? Kind of looked like it when you showed the inside.
It does not, but you could add a ring to the inside. Might work 🤔
Can you try the dbrand grip case?

does it over heat with a case on ????????????? b4 i buy this thning?
Not that I've seen

It does, and that helps a little bit, but does not resolve the issue
@@scaryifliteral that's kind of a shame, I'll look for a case with a thinner lip to it
Never caseless too much money to let your phone get damage
I dropped my Gfold 2x from about 6 inches. front screen stopped working, had to use my insurance.
