I live near great Yarmouth. I would love to catch mackeral. Not sure it is good around here for that though
It's probably a bit shallow that way mate but you can always try.

I've thought about taking my kids Mackerel fishing as they love to eat it, but I've only ever done it from a boat. I'm close to Norfolk coast and it always strikes me that it would be too shallow? Not a fisherman, any tips or advice welcome. 🤣
Hey mate, the beach at Cley and Weybourne are straight into deep water. I've fished the coast for 25 years and have never had an issue. Mackerel fishing is a good way to start because if they are in you will deffo catch. There seems to be a few about at the moment.
The sandy beaches from sheringham round to Yarmouth are the more shallow beaches. The shingle beaches of north norfolk fish well.
@@RJOutdoors first time i fished them, I got pollock and mackerel. But as I said, only from a boat. The pollock was unreal though.
Banging little sesh like you said, just disappointed i couldn't make the evening coz the morning was a washout.
I'm hoping the fish return with the better weather next week
