I replaced the audio jack of my WM-F41 with something from radio shack. You can probably order something to replace the green jack. The jack I got had a chromed metal lockring on the outside so it never moves when putting the headphone plug into the wakman. It is a design mistake to just solder the jack on the circuit board, unsupported by anything other than the electrical solder pads. Our lexus doors suffer from the same design mistake.
@@TechStuff1 Thanks! So discovered that the motor wasn't moving at all, but after some handcranking it came back. Belt is loose so ordered a replacement.
i have a sharp jc126 am/fm cassette player and the tape player doesn't play but if i try to turn the spindal, it feels like there's a rubber band and the radio can't find a station and all you hear is bits of static, do you know what could be wrong with it?, i have been told the rubber band might have melted and could have done something with the radio, also i tried to repair it myself but all i seen was a large circuit board and i didn't want to risk going further then that
I own 2 Walkmans which I love to use SO MUCH! The WM-F10 and the WM-F41.
What a nice easy repair, for a tech guy. 😊
I just got one (the Canadian version) in great condition though no strap but hey still a great buy, thanks for your video if I ever need to repair it.
It is THE Walkman - at least to Stranger Things fans

Thanks. I'm about to fix one soon.
Just picked a WM-8. Battery light turns on, but nothing moves. Any thoughts on what it could be?
The decayed rubber belt is usually the culprit.

Hey. So after changing the motor belt it sounds better, but still slow. Any idea on what else I can check?

I'm poor and want one so bad, but every one of the good condition and fully working ones are $100 to over $1000! It's ridiculous!!!
