Jeff is one of the deepest guests you’ve ever had on. This man is just amazing and his reflection of life and self is admirable. I hope you have him on again.
I, an absolute POG, initially started catching all these podcasts out of curiosity. I thought I’d be getting a neat lil peek behind the curtain into team life. But I quickly realized that I don’t even care about about the military stuff they talk about. I keep coming back for the incredible life lessons that so deeply resonate with experiences I’ve had, both in the Army and completely unrelated to military life.
Same I enjoy listening while having long satisfying poops. Nothing beats hour long bathroom sessions & a good podcast about grueling physical activity while I’m sitting on a heated toilet seat.
In 2015 Jeff and his teammate Ollie put on a shooting course up in Michigan. I was 19 at the time and Jeff was very intense and pretty intimidating. As my dad and I were leaving, they turned to me and said they don’t give out compliments often but I did a good job shooting. I doubt he would remember this but best compliment I ever got lol. He seems happier now.
This is by far one of your best guests. Nichols brings so much intellect and authenticity that you have greater respect for someone more than just a frogman. He brings a Socratic way of thinking to this interview by asking those types of questions
@@TruTube.1. yeah and at the end of the day whether they killed for good or bad, they are real murderers. they take more lives than they save most likely.
F-ing an amazing guest. Jeff expresses deep conversations that most vets and first responders can relate to. Andy this interview was mind-blowing. Thank you!
Very thankful for your service and sacrifices, Jeff, and those of your Seal team. Oohrah! 😂My son and daughter currently serve in the Navy as a SeaBee and the Air Force as a Hydraulics Specialist. I'm very proud of them and blessed because of this. Everyday I pray for their safety. Glad you're living in your own identity now. You are YOU. You're not what you do for a living. I had to learn that too and it's harder than it seems. Be blessed.
Solid podcast. I love hearing you guys talk about the goods and bads of military Special Operations at large and your lessons learned. Please keep doing the good work that you are and sharing those lessons learned. Guys like me get a lot of value from them.
The mental health awareness of these vets is impressively high. I know mental health professionals that don’t have the same knowledge these seals have.
Very interesting conversation. I am going to have yo go back and listen to that second half of the podcast again. There is a lot that hit close to home and that I need to think about.
Rebuilt wrist lead me into a dark 5 years of hard opiate use. On multiple occasions kissing my wife and children in the night fearing I wouldn’t wake in the morning. Simply amazing seeing the sunrise the next morning. Kicked the opiates completely 10/07/2010… clean since! Salute 🫡
Heavy podcast from serious warriors. Their is an intensity among the teams that is unparalleled. Consider years of fighting on the battlefield and then attempting to transition to civilian life. I witnessed it when I married a Vietnam Combat Vet that did 2 tours. Very difficult transition and America was not welcoming.😢
I worked with guys in special forces, using data from VO2 Max testing they did at a facility I worked at as a strength coach, and showed them how they could use it within the Thor program. I got to look at Thor as a whole, and was very impressed. Really an approach that has been well thought out, and it utilizing up to date and knowledge of human performance, and applying it to training modern soldiers.
Anyone know which apparel company sells Jeff's t-shirt?... Awesome interview!! Thx for your service & im extremely thankful you guys protected our country while asked to do the impossible. Thank You!
Calling a 4 Star Admiral a pussy and a coward... My kind of guy!! Totally relate to that as I did something similar with a full-bird who thought he could bring me up on charges and courts martial my ass. That didn't happen after I got done with him. However, my 13 year career was OVER at that point. BTW, not SF, just a regular Navy OS.
Rob O’Neill is a stain on the community and our society. He’s a walking propaganda machine. He would do himself a favor if he got a life and quit living in the past. But I do agree with you although I would like to see a “Vets React to GI Jane.” 😂
Thank you for the profound conversation and share. The Shaolin continue to have a martial and noble society with strict rules even within the encroaching CCP. There are tribes in Borneo which have had warrior societies for thousands of years enduring the Japanese, British and Islamic govt. However, it is getting more difficult for them to continue with the advent of surveillance tech everywhere.
Man opiates suck that they work so well and there so terrible I wish that another drug and than he said fucking girls was worse than opiate addiction and withdrawal 8 years of opiates fuck man I whent 18 months and almost died I had withdrawals for a month than I got a hernia and had to have surgery and than I got shingles at around 30 years old I was so done its been 4 years and I'm still working myself. Thanks for the service my man and you got a lot of people that totally get ware your coming from .
Hey Andy...brilliant podcast as always, but you might want to proofread Jeff's bio. I'm not sure what "Navel" Special Warfare entails, but I imagine dudes with guns emerging from the ocean wearing crop-tops lmao
Jeff is one of the deepest guests you’ve ever had on. This man is just amazing and his reflection of life and self is admirable. I hope you have him on again.
I'm not sure if I would say deep, just great at self assessment and realization coupled with BRUTAL HONESTY

Thank you for serving

I’m from MI. Where at?
This was in Caledonia
Had his war face on lol
Thank you for your service
I’m like 30 mins from Caledonia that’s crazy
This is by far one of your best guests. Nichols brings so much intellect and authenticity that you have greater respect for someone more than just a frogman. He brings a Socratic way of thinking to this interview by asking those types of questions
This is for sure one of the most honest podcasts I’ve heard, great conversation.
Just sounds HONEST. lol. Unless you've been there and done that.
@@TruTube.1. yeah and at the end of the day whether they killed for good or bad, they are real murderers. they take more lives than they save most likely.

Damn!!! This is so rad!! Jeff has such a story of overcoming. Loved his interview with Ritland back in the day also!

Jeff's DNA literally has coaching intertwined all through it 🧬
Amazing coach and even better human!
Have been looking forward to this one! Finally, Mr. Nichols is on Cleared Hot!
This one was amazing, I’ve heard a lot of interviews from the warriors, but this one was special.
Solid podcast. I love hearing you guys talk about the goods and bads of military Special Operations at large and your lessons learned. Please keep doing the good work that you are and sharing those lessons learned. Guys like me get a lot of value from them.
Awesome conversation as always 🙏🏼 🇺🇲

Been waiting for this one for the longest time!! Thank you Jeff and Andy.
I love that every time the episode starts, its guaranteed that Andy laughs! Great content always!
It must be a Nichols gene that has no problem telling a boss they’re a coward!! Hahah! Nice work Jeff!! Love it
Andy, you hit another grand slam homer with this pod. Thank you JN for your service 🇺🇸
Very interesting conversation. I am going to have yo go back and listen to that second half of the podcast again. There is a lot that hit close to home and that I need to think about.
A Spotify consumer of podcasts here, but this is the best episode you’ve had in a while. Amazing stuff.
This is one of the best episodes, Andy. Jeff’s a great guest!
very fortunate I went through many of these issues before GWOT. I was very lucky. I do what I can to help vets.

Jeff is just one of those humans living on another level, separated from 99% of people. A wealth of knowledge/experience. Great podcast.
Fascinating interview, really appreciate the candidness about his shortcomings
WOW, I have been through so much of what you two discussed, this is a keeper for sure. Thank you for a great Podcast.
I wear a bracelet that says
Be Responsive Not Reactive
it helps me with focusing on my behavior
oh shit this one i‘ve been hoping for ever since he was on Mike Drop! CH Gang!
Good stuff
Very smart man. Loved this interview and the one on Mike Drop with him
Great podcast. Thank god for men like this, good Americans
I was listening to this on my way to work and as you mentioned Great Wolf Lodge I drove past Great Wolf Lodge 😂. The water slides are pretty cool.
I live near great wolf. Is he in Chicago?
Jeff looks different every time I see him. This time hes a buff tony hawk
lol
Tren hawk
Jeff needs to bring the Viking look back.
Great podcast! I'm gonna share this one around for sure. Thanks Andy and Jeff. 👊
Jeff needs a round 2

Seems to me Jeff needs to get ahold of the new seals between BUDS and selection. Market his skills as just as valuable as the training they receive.
Need him on Shawn Ryan Show!!
Damn! This was a very Deep podcast. Thank you.
I think the fitness program Nichols started to teach the army was called THOR.. really great program
I worked with guys in special forces, using data from VO2 Max testing they did at a facility I worked at as a strength coach, and showed them how they could use it within the Thor program. I got to look at Thor as a whole, and was very impressed. Jeff’s face has that very distinct frogman look to it.
49:45 this story is gold
Fantastic coach.
Always appreciate content like this
Amazing podcast with some very powerful messages
Great podcast, solid dude
"How'd it go after that?"..."Not super good". lmao
Anyone know which apparel company sells Jeff's t-shirt?...
Awesome interview!! Thx for your service & im extremely thankful you guys protected our country while asked to do the impossible. Thank You!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!!

Small human with retribution list? Damn Arya Stark. I hope your youth training had an '80s montage soundtrack.
Come on down to the Ozarks Jeff! You can get as rural as you want
Do you know how fucking crucial this guy is!!!! That’s fucking Jeff ducking Nichols yoooooo let’s fucking gooooooooo I love you Andy god bless America
Can’t wait for the “fight” in April!
Can't wait to listen to this!
Truly exceptional
I've been waiting on you two talk forever haha
Thank you.
It baffles me why we still don't have a "Veterans Reacts to Captain Phillips" with Jeff Nichols, Rob O'Neil, "Mark Owen", and Terry Houin.
Because they're "quiet warriors." Not "hollywood tough guys."
@@SteveCabana-ir7jt 😂

But I do agree with you although I would like to see a “Vets React to GI Jane.” 😂
None of those guys get along.
Was “Mark Owen” also on that op?
You need to get Chris Van Sant up there.
First class podcast by two first class guys!
Is it just me or does Andy's camera look zoomed in? Regardless another Great episode! Thanks Gentleman! 🇺🇲🤘🏼

Just google Performance First US
Looking forward to round 2!
Great interview
Another great one Thank yoy
This was a great fucking podcast
Great show and guest
Great information.
I noticed several years ago that Jeff on a podcast would/could not laugh. Now I see he's laughing.
When I joined the Marines, I was grieved when I saw fat marines. It still hurts me every time I see it.
I fuckin love this dude! The first time I heard of THORNE!! Ive been doing well since then!
What's the time stamp for talking about people robbing the wrong house? And he mentions trash cans and sitting there with a rifle
I always wondered what happened to Ned schneebly from school of rock
Wow, what a change it sounds like a different person
Bring on Mike Ritland !
Here we go
Great show.
I smell a new Bromance. Mike Glover should be worried.
Build an Earthship home Jeff.
Oh. 🤭Hey there.😍oh ... You're still alive.
Was Jeff in Evans office in the thumbnail 😊
Good info brother

Jeff is a modern day Viking, for sure. He should trace his ancestry. I bet it goes back to 1000 a.d. like mine.
Hey Andy...brilliant podcast as always, but you might want to proofread Jeff's bio. I'm not sure what "Navel" Special Warfare entails, but I imagine dudes with guns emerging from the ocean wearing crop-tops lmao
I didn't buy a true belt until I was 35ish. I wore old football belts😂😂😂
RIP Gabe. Love ya Jeff. lmao.
Would have loved to have seen the look on that 4-star’s face! 😂😂😂
Admiral McCraven? (SOCOM, not JSOC Commander at the time. JSOC is a 3-star command, so there would have been no "4-star at JSOC" at the time..)
Wow this one goes deep. I saw him on Mike's but dam this one is pretty dam good
What this guys shirt
Deep! 🔥
That was superior.
He reminds me of a war veteran version of Tony Hawk
Shout out to stray gunderson!
