      Well this is Superhero comics. It is fiction, not real world. Why we need some "Realism and Logical Grounded" explaination in Superhero comics. Many non logical things happens happens in Superhero comics for example Jason Todd is revive back due to Superboy prime punch the reality, Peter Parker makes deal with the devil, We thought Bruce Wayne is dead in Final Crisis but he actually send back to the past. If we need some "logics" why Nobita (do you guys remember Doraemon cartoon) is not grow old and wear the same t-shirt all the time. We already live in real world, so why must we do "real world" in fiction fantasy superhero comics

    Here's a story. Batman needs to move the giant penny to the secret waterfall entrance to the Batcave without anyone noticing. Me, I'd call Superman. "Clark…" - "yes, Bruce" - I have a small job for you. I need you to move a giant penny to the waterfall at super-speed…"
    "Sorry, Bruce, I'm saving a solar system elsewhere in the galaxy and if my math is correct that solar system contains a sun that will upgrade my powers temporarily and dude, I have got to check that shite out…" - "Clark…" - "yes. Bruce?" "I've done the math. Total bullshit, Clark, that sun's not as yellow as you think…" - "do all the research you want, Bruce, Brucify the numbers till your fingers turn blue. I've been to that solar system, which by the way the residents have renamed it Kal-elapalooza in my honor, dude, I've been to that sun and it's like heroin to a junkie. There, Mr. Wayne, is the truth. Besides the sun really is going nova if I don't technobabble some friggin thing with the giant whosis. You know." "I hear you, bro, do your thing. I'll find a way to get that penny home." - "You always do, Bruce, you always find a way. Rent a warehouse near the penny, stash the penny in the warehouse and transfer your little trophy at like, 3 in the morning and report a theft. You'll have a better plan than that." - "much love, Kent" - "Backat ya, Bats." and on…the story writes itself! Corny, I know. I love me my heroes.

    *Why is There a T-Rex and Giant Penny in the Batcave?*
    The Batcave is the iconic base of operations for the world's greatest detective. It houses some of Batman's trophies from past victories, including an animatronic dinosaur and an oversized penny. But what are the origins of these decorations? Let's learn about them and a little history of the Batcave itself in this week's #ComicMisconceptions !

      You know they out out a trade recently with most of the issues you mentioned (they cut out the newer versions if the trophies) its called secrets of the batcave. I got it a while back and it really awesome and has batman kinda being the cause of 2 deaths in the cave at separate times. I wonder how he explains the fact that a guy suffocated in a sarcophagus in his base.

    Great video, Scott! About the giant penny, in the Justice League animated series (more precisely in the three-part episode "Starcrossed") it was used by the Flash to defeat Thanagarian soldiers. In that very same episode, he was also fascinated with the giant dinosaur, leading to this hilarious conversation:
    Flash: Hey, that's a giant dinosaur!
    Alfred: And I thought Batman was the detective.

    Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger introduced an underground hangar (where the Batmobile and Batplane were kept) in BATMAN 12 some months before the serial came out. Finger said he got the idea from an article about underground hangars in an article he read in Popular Mechanics. He attached the article to his script and gave it to Kane who copied the design. BUT, it wasn't called "The Batcave", The Movie serial scripters came up with The Bat's Cave as you said. When Kane and Finger started the newspaper strip, Kane re-worked his original design to reflect the changes that were introduced in the serial. A minor quibble but I'm like that!

    i seem to discover more and more that statements like "batman doesn't kill, batman doesn't use guns, superman never kill" have always been false, turns out people just seem to have selective amnesia. because they did, in comics and in past movies etc.

    • @NerdSyncProductions
      @NerdSyncProductions  10 лет назад

      Dominic A Maybe there are just so many different types of classic heroes that people focus only on the version of the hero they most relate to/enjoy reading or watching. Like how I talked about the Golden Age Batman and Superman being much more violent. Batman used guns and snapped people's necks. Superman even shot a guy then caught the bullet before it reached him just to scare the guy.
      But the reason there are so many types of Batmen and Supermen could be because the Golden Age was just trying to figure the characters out for the first time, the Silver Age had a lot of rules thanks to the CCA about violence and killing (among many other things), and the years after have been trying to compensate for the characters' campiness by returning them to being darker, but still trying to uphold the Sliver Age morals I guess.
      But yeah, there are plenty cases where both Batman and Superman kill people.

    Just wanted to point out that the movie Starlord look is actually closer to the source material and that the "before" look you put for Starlord was while the movie was still in Production. Under the GotG best run under Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, Starlord was both older and sported a look that is ALOT like what the movie later imitated.

    • @Sephivoiceactor
      @Sephivoiceactor 9 лет назад +1

      Also FYI: in the future you may want to clear up these kinds of misconception as the "before" image was used on the Bendis run, which is unpopular with long time Guardians of the Galaxy fans.

    Gotham the show had its ups and downs... I love that Alfred ha no moustache and had a belly. And I love how that included the riddler in it, telling him that they didn't want any riddles... Thought that was cool..people have been telling me that the person performing jokes for fish Mooney was the joker, if that's true that would let me down because he was a mafia... Gotham itself was pretty cool, and I loved that huge splatter of blood when that killed Bruce's parents, comic ESC

    • @NerdSyncProductions
      @NerdSyncProductions  10 лет назад +1

      Penguin is my favorite too! As for the Joker, the people behind the show said many people will tease the Joker so the audience will never be sure who he really is. Which I think is a neat idea.

      *****In the comics he is really awesome and in the movie... I thought that is in the show he looked very cool ,the nose and also I thought that when he beat the guy with a bat and laughed that it revealed a bit of his future self also when he attacked the people in the car when they called him a penguin

      ***** I think that in this show when Bruce finds the bat cave... Because in the dark night returns ( the comic) he says he finds it at age 6 I think ... And it would be nice to see... And sort of connect it wit batman v superman dawn of justice

    • @Forcastthebold
      @Forcastthebold 10 лет назад +1

      Cesar Felix ***** I love Alfred in Gotham. As got the joker I personally hope that they don't put him in the show. While villans such as penguin and the riddled have thier own goal, the joker stands for one thing which is to cause anarchy to the batmans life. While no one really knows the jokers true origin, the most widely accepted origin is that it was directly batman who pseudo created him. Since the bat probably won't appear in Gotham they would probably have to change up his history which wouldn't do him justice.

    I think if I had a secret underground lair it would be depressingly dull. It would probably have some chairs, storage, and so forth with maybe a few secret doors to spice things up. Figuring out how to get s secret lair underground in a house without a basement and no one noticing would probably chew up most of the secret lair budget.

    Nice factoids - but yeesh, is the host standing on a bucking bronco or something? He's bobbing, weaving, ducking and jiving as if he's afraid a sniper is trying to draw a bead on him. Stand STILL, boyo - it's very distracting.

    • @Slyrr7

      chandlerj333 Dictionary.com's primary definition: "an insignificant or trivial fact." Secondary: something fictitious or unsubstantiated that is presented as fact, devised especially to gain publicity and accepted because of constant repetition.
      So my use of 'factoid' was completely correct.

    One of my favorite giant penny stories in the comics is I'm the new 52 Batman comics. When a Talon is fighting Batman, I think Alfred pushed the penny down and it crushed the Talon, but he lived a little longer, but he died at one point. The story is amazing and you should check it out! Love your vids!

    The Batman DCAU comic, came up with a simply magnificent idea as to the origin of the Hall of Trophies. We simply start with a scene from an early case, with a very young Dick Grayson as Robin standing on top of a downed robot T-Rex and begging "Can we keep him? Please? Huh? Huh?" to Batman. The idea being that the Trophies don't actually serve much of a function for Batman, but is more intended for Robin (As a sort of reward for having to forego his fondly remembered circus lifestyle, and constantly pretend to be not as bright, or fast, or strong, etc as he really is, in order to protect their identity). I just love that as a notion.

    in Batman: The Brave and The Bold, there was an episode, I think it was when Owlman was in Batman's earth, Bats asked Joker for help and he brought him in to the cave. Joker got excited seeing all of Batman's knickknacks and had flashbacks for each of them, which showed that in that world, the robot T-rex and giant penny were parts of his schemes.

    In the new 52 the giant penny is at Wayne enterprises in the the beginings of Bruce as Batman. It was brought by his uncle Phillip Kane who's running Wayne enterprises, I can't remember why he had it there
    Then the uncle is killed by the red hood gang leader (aka joker) and well... the rest is history
    Damn, I didn't knew I was that nerd jaja
