Just imagine if Paul had suffered a loss like this in the actual Sinnoh League. The reactions from everyone would be wild. And Paul definitely would not have taken his loss that gracefully.
I was honestly laughing at the beginning with Starmie and Drapion going at each other with the Toxic Spikes. Then I lost it at the end of that match. Also, how fitting that the Torterra Paul abandons as a Turtwig is the one that takes out Electivire.
In the anime, Infernape defeated Ninjask, possibly Froslass, and Electivire. I can remember that Infernape defeated about half of Paul’s team after taking immense damage.
@@tangerinepaint3643 That we are in agreement of. Though Strength is essentially the Normal version of Waterfall, minus the Flinch chance. If Strength had the Flinch chance, it'd be a decent move to have. Would it be better if it was retyped to Fighting as well? Or is Normal fine as is?
@@RoseSupreme Pokémon Clover makes it a Fighting-type move and it’s a pretty decent coverage option. Some other changes to HM moves it makes is making Cut a 60 BP Steel-type move, boosting Rock Smash’s BP to 60, and making Rock Climb a Rock-type move.
I do like how they put Paul in the game but I really wish they made it possible to face Tobias and then after beating him, you face Ash Ketchum instead of him.

I was hoping for that matchup since about two videos ago.
Just like the anime if I remember correctly

Paul: "That one? He weak."
The starter: *casually survives a supereffective hit and claps back with a KO*

LMAOOO THE START 😭
Looks like Starmie wanted to do a *clean* sweep.
That start was clean
Something tells me ya really didn’t want the toxic spikes lmaooo
Mega tike toxic spikes -Meowth
*yikes
He knows the dangers of entry hazards.
All of that...for an HM.
Yeah, I expected nothing more or less from the overly-simped Champion.
tbf Waterfall is one of the few HM moves that can also be used as an attack and not suck at it.
@@tangerinepaint3643 Yeah, if you're Gyarados
@@RoseSupreme Still miles better than Cut, Rock Smash, and Strength at least.
