Attentive service onboard a modern aircraft, in a bright, clean, and spacious cabin. Combine these things with KLM's cute personal touches, friendly crew, and vast connection network from Schiphol Airport, and you get one very pleased traveller. Love this airline and loved this flight (though mind you I barely slept)

Such a great flight. The design of the seats on KLM's B789 looks fabulous with the blue and black tones. Also, the services look amazing too 😄

I took the same route in 2019. Amsterdam to Toronto in a 747 instead and the food was incredible 🙌

Ha ! The famous 692 flight. Just wondering how many parents- grandparents have taken KLM from Toronto to Amsterdam and vice versa.!!! I know I have been numerous times on it and so have been my parents !!! Even have been on the 747 and even was up in the cockpit at night time ( when that was still allowed) with my 2 kids looking out in the dark night with a captain that came from no less than Delfzijl !!!
Great review! I have fond memories of flying KLM twice in the early ‘90s when they used to fly to Halifax, although the flights were operated by Martinair. Although I have travelled a fair bit most of my international travel has been with Air Canada. Airlines I most want to try: JAL, ANA, Delta, Singapore.
Love KLM as well! Haven’t tried JAL, ANA, or Singapore either but definitely all on my list. Delta is good, especially when compared with the other US carriers. I have a couple reviews from their flights feel free to check them out!

I love KLM service but this breakfast looked a little weak.
Are klm strict on checked luggage size ? It says it should be 158 cm but is it ok if it was 163 cm ? Are they strict on dimensions do they measure it ?
I’ve never had a KLM attendant measure my checked bag size, but if they suspect it’s too large they may opt to measure it

I will fly from Toronto to Amesterdam and then to Mubayi.
There will be only one hour transit time in Amesterdam to get the next plane to go to Mumbai..

Assuming it is all on one ticket, and since I don’t believe you need to clear immigration in Amsterdam or complete additional security checks, this should be doable. In my opinion 1 hour is a bit short, and if you can get a 2 or 3 hour connection time instead that might be less stressful for you
Why do newer IFE screens have vents above the screens? I once flew on one of United's 767 and while the seat is a different design, it too is newer and has the vent above the screen. However, I have flown on an ex- Continental 777-200ER, which had older seats and those did not have a vent right above the screen.
It's too keep the monitor cool. They get hot just like any electronic device after a while.
The bad thing is that on Boeing 787 you can't make window light colour when is general diming of windows during the flight. I don't like it. They should consider the fact that some passengers like to look in the window to see sunrise sunset beautiful clouds during the sunset etc. They should make an option of individual window control and in case if it's general dimming I can make my window light colour.
Love your trip reports i love klm very much but they had better give a sandwich with toppings for breakfast instead of a muffin.

Is KLM strict for the required luggage size??
Carry-on or checked baggage? In Economy Class carry-on bags have specific size requirements and a combined weight (personal item + carry-on) of 12kg. Checked baggage also has a weight limit of 23kg. Whether or not the checked baggage is included in your tickets depends on what fare you purchase. Hope that helps!

This depends on the route, the Econony fare you purchase (Light / Standard / Flex), and whether you have Flying Blue status. With no status, on the Toronto to Amsterdam route, the Light fare includes no checked baggage, Standard and Flex include 1x 23kg bag. They have a useful calculator at the link below. Hope that helps!
