BECAUSE--THE DAVE CLARK FIVE (NEW ENHANCED RECORDING) 720P

- Well I finally got around to enhancing this classic. I put it off because I knew I would have a serious project in dealing with this song. I wanted more fuller harmonies and a acoustic guitar to fill in empty spots.
The vocals were very difficult and took 2 days to figure out what kind of vocals would sound good. I had to go verse by verse and try different arrangements that I thought would work in keeping with the
the quality of the original. I can't believe how pretty this song was from the day I first heard it. Songs like this are not written by today's
musical drop outs. These guys are legends in the British invasion.
Hope you DC-5 fans like this new enhanced version! Видеоклипы
This song will never die. BECAUSE it’s immortal. Give me, give me a thumbs up if you’re still listening like me in 2023… Thanks.

My ever favorite song since teen age life🫰💕😍
Who is here in 2023? if you're, you're a legend
Also, now 2024!
Me!!!!!! Love their music!!!!!
Me! My dad turned 76 this year and this is one of his favorite songs ever. He used to sing me the chorus when i was a little girl.
I'm here for the love of my life 🤍 this was his favorite 🎶
I’m here because this reminds me of riding in dads car when we were young and my mom was still alive.
The music is legendary. We're just everyday people with good taste in the greatest songs ever written.
It’s 2022, if you’re still listening to this classic song, give me a thumbs up. This song reminds me the beauty and nobility of the human soul still exist, in contrast of the war which is going on nowadays.

It's April, 2022. I am in South Florida, surrounded in this world by nonsense, violence and bigotry. But then, there is this song. I just danced to it with my wife in our living room and it felt good, really good...
Just got done dancing and hugging my wife of 52 years. It's sad we got old, but a blessing we are still above ground.

Congratulations, praise God

You mean The Mike Smith Five!

I remember at the time some people were claiming the DC5 didn't play their own instruments. It's true for Dave Clark's drumming on the recordings (he used session drummer Bobby Graham) but before having a recording contract they were voted the #1 live band in London.

music like this is no longer being made. what a retrospect, our parents would tell us that "the music you listen to is garbage" now we tell our kids" the music that you listen to is garbage". as I see it ,what is thought of as "garbage"( back then) is really "TAME STUFF" compared to the "GARBAGE" of today ,I would really piss my parents off when they would listen to the "EASY LISTENING" radio station that was the same music that I listened to, just slowed down!!!!, and I went out of my way to point it out. good music will always stand up to the "TEST OF TIME"!!!!!

I'm a little older than you guys and I was playing this on the radio for you! "Because" is, for me, The DC5 at their best, followed closely by "Can't You See That She's Mine." Solid band, but while Clark could keep a beat he "had some issues" rolling around the set for fills. Proof of the old adage: KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)! When the DC5 was new we thought it would be The Beatles and them, not the Beatles and Stones as it turned out. I wonder if Clark's shady business practices had anything to do with it.

Was one of my favorites as a young teenager!
25 years ago tomorrow I got my heart cut open to replace my mitral valve at Beth Israel in Manhattan. Nine days later my good friend Terry was driving me home to my apartment in Westchester. When we hit the Saw Mill Parkway “Because” came on the radio. I was in the backseat and without a cue, Terry and I burst out singing the song. Now my voice was a little weak but we both knew all the words (my favorite song at 15 !) I mean tears of joy at being and feeling alive were running down my face the whole time. That’s what this tune does to me. ❤

Nowadays it's NOT considered right to feel the way you do;
Yes, agree totally. I had a loving father but if I screwed up at school or anywhere else I did not want to come home for I knew what I would be facing. Not physical harm, just a strong suggestion from him and that face that I did not want to do it again, and guess what, I grew up just fine..........................
Mike, you're idealizing it. True, though, about 24-hour propaganda channels and "anti-social" media. We had our issues then, but it was easier to understand them with a common set of facts, or certainly closer to that. But I digress - this is a gorgeous song, then, now and always. Thank you DC5!
Thank you, Mike Smith, for creating an absolute masterpiece. RIP, my friend.
MmmmmmMemories
Scott Hunt It's a Dave Clark song, not Mike Smith. Mike is singing lead on it because he was their lead singer, and a great one at that. One of the very best. But Dave Clark wrote the song.
@@mtp4430 Look this up on Wikipedia ("Because" Dave Clark Five) and it states in the first paragraph that Mike was a co-writer. But other articles point out that Dave Clark had absolutely no expertise at all in songwriting, and he only took a credit b/c the band was named after him. If the truth be known, Mike Smith probably wrote the song with precious little assistance from DC. Moreover, there are other articles where someone named Ron Ryan claims he co-wrote or wrote song of the band's biggest hits, including "Because" so who really knows? A decent read can be found at www.richieunterberger.com/wordpress/tag/the-dave-clark-five/
@UCV5tI5SYLNWyz8NpCKg6wcw You're totally clueless. I was born in the 50's, so I know this music very well. You ought to do your research before you start spouting off about things you're only guessing about. To many who were close to the band, Dave Clark took credit for much of what he didn't do, so stop giving him more credit than he deserves. And before you start disputing anything in Wikipedia, why don't you prove you know more than they do and have the evidence to back it up. Until then, you'd be better to remain silent and only be thought of as a fool rather than opening your mouth and removing all doubt.
@@scotthunt2479 You we're born in the 50s, so what did that make you, like 7 years old when they recorded this material?
You're a disrespectful idiot. I spent 35 years in the music business and you tell me I'm spouting off.
What have you done in the music business? Do you write, do you produce, are you a promoter? What was your function in the business?
Go ahead, I'm waiting tell me what expertise you have in the business? You're the one spouting off?
I've played shows promoted by Sid Bernstein. I've played on bills with other acts including Grand Funk Railroad, Leslie West and Mountain, The Outlaws, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Flo and Eddie (The Turtles), Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, Dion Dimucci, and many others.
I'm not bragging nor am I talking down to you but don't you be disrespectful and tell me I'm spouting off about something I clearly no more about than you.
Go ahead, find me an article or an interview with Mike Smith saying that he co-wrote the song and didn't get credit for it?
I'm done, over and out, and I wouldn't even dignify you with another comment. Spouting off???? How? Because you're totally misinformed? That's you spouting off my friend.
Go ahead, Mr research, post something with Mike Smith saying what your claiming. Certainly he'd be bitching about it and it must be documented somewhere.
I want to see and hear Mike Smith making those claims.
Me encanta Dave Clark , estuvo acompañando a Freddie al final de su vida, como hacen las personas que se preocupan por sus amigos ❤❤
Love that song and the title was unique back then. It still is!.
Always loved these guys! They had such a pure sound and great harmonies too. They had one hit after another and came closer to the Beatles than any other group did back then. Miss them
Timeless classic. A big thanks to my dad to introducing me to these songs
Hay canciones como esta, que son atemporales, es decir buenas para escuchar en todo tiempo. La letra es sencilla y fácil de entender, el ritmo es bueno y ha sido una de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos.
Childhood days were so special when these songs were popular. I really feel sorry for kids today. The world was so different then.
Most beautiful song of the 60's n still is especially with the enchanted sound
the youth has left me but song like this one has lived forever in my humble heart....
