- Hello all, in this Video I show you guys how to upgrade your 2012 Acura MDX Interior lights to LED. this is a simple Video. you do not need much tools a couple of panel removal tools. a Philips and a small angle pick.
This mod works for other Acura MDX 2010 to 2013 but don't quote me on that.
I was having trouble with the middle light and back lights, but I realized that those LED do not need to be replaced. there are bulbs but those are solder on the little board so no need to do anything.
when you watch the Video please be careful with the Globe Box light. the cable is super short. and if you are working on it in the day time please see the video on how to turn the light on.

Thank you for the video! I did the same interior LED upgrade on my silver/ebony 11 MDX with tinted windows. The interior was way too dark at night without the LED upgrades. I didn't do the glove box upgrade and saw the same issues of the dome lights couldn't be upgraded. I think the 07-09 dome lights can be upgraded to LED; while, the 10-13 MDX dome's cannot.
You are welcome.I mean if I really wanted to I. Can unsolder the LED and put a brighter one but that’s a whole lot more work that I will do. I am thinking maybe at a later time.

This is a great video. Everything is in one place. I just got a Mdx 2016 and I want to update the lighting system. This video helps a lot. I just don’t know if this works for my model.
This might work. I am not sure. if your body style is the same as mine chances are it will. but a lot of time they changed the way things and nothing wil work. but if it look like the one on my videos then it will work.

Luv these. I have 2 Cars. A 1994 acura legend 2- coupe. And a 1998 Lexus gs400. My friend can you tell me (if) this have Shadow lights for my cars. Thxs!
I have not really found anything yet that is specific to these two cars. But if you want to retrofit something, I am sure it is possible.

As far as I know YES the body Styles are the same and the Bulbs should be the same. Good luck and thanks for watching .
Footwell bulb size ?
The Bulb Size for the footwell light is DE3175 1.22 inches. I added the link in the descriptions.

I am correct thing might be a bit different because Acura may have changed some things. If I was you. I would take a look and see if the lights match with what’s on my videos. If yes then you can buy the same one and install them. In my experience. They are usually similar. Don’t quote me though.
