On the back side of the bezel there is a tab that will need to be depressed and then they should pop right out. It might take a bit to get them to go through the slot but that is the only way.
If you are referring to the GM body kit that had the large chrome tips, then those would be called bezels as well since they are not part of the exhaust system. For those you would have to remove them and either have them painted or powder coated.
