Thanks Paul! This is a beautiful video highlighting Bonita Bucerias and several of the friendly volunteers joining the local efforts around town to help keep the streets, beaches, and plazas clean all year round. Viva Adopta Una Calle de Bucerias!
I love what one of the ladies said..."You can't just take from these beautiful countries without giving back." That was so classy and well-said! I hope others watch and learn from these kind and thoughtful people! 👏
Paul, your video from 11:22 to the end was MAGNIFICENT! I love Bucerias so much that I want to share it with everyone. Thank you. Also, do any of your followers know the guitar player's name and the name of the song? I would be most grateful.
No entiendo el ingles, pero se que se trata de vivir mejor de cuidar nuestra naturaleza, plantas, animales, no contaminar mas, o lo menos posible, vamos todos a poner nuestro granito de arena para vivir mejor el planeta nos lo agradecera
The lifeguard station wasn't toppled. It was destroyed by an American woman who said it was her beach and no one asked permission to put it there. She tore it to pieces. So sad...
What a great idea!! I wonder if I can start this in La Paz? Dog really get into a lot of the garbage that is left out twice a week for pick up. Most residents out where bags out the night before instead of waiting until morning so the street dogs really get into a lot of it. The of course the general public who just drop garbage.
Special. Thankyous to all the helping out Canadian 59 volunteers. Kindness ^ cleanliness is appreciated by all. Great Video Paul and see yous next year. Muchas GRACIAS❤
What a beautiful video Paul. When we were there Feb/Mar for 1 month, I couldn't believe how much garbage was on the streets. We went to Ajijic for 4 days to break up our month and we walked around the whole town and we couldn't believe how clean it was there. They had a 4 day festival in the park with 100's of locals drinking and having a great time. The next day the park was totally cleaned up you wouldn't know they just had this festival.
@@MovingToMexiCo we saw you and your family a few weeks ago but we were just eating at Mr and Mrs Fish so couldn't go say hi. Wish you and your family all the best. Thanks for the great video.
Good stuff Paul! Starts with the kids, educate them about the problem in school. I remember telling my parents you shouldn't throw trash out of the car, I'm sure it hit home. That was early 70's in Colorado. Where is the trash hauled off to that is collected, Landfill? Burn Pile? Not an easy problem to solve!
I live in England and sadly littering is also a problem here. People are careless regardless of social status, I have seen it firsthand. A friend of mine who lives in Italy, by seaside started a cleanup group a few years ago as well. People need to educate themselves and have respect, there is no excuse, especially here where there are plenty of bins all over.
You can still get involved without Facebook. Basically adopt your street/area and give it a cleaning once a week or as much as you prefer. What street are you looking to clean?
Bucerias is beautiful! I’m looking at various coastal towns/cities in Mexico to retire to. QUESTION: Was Bucerias the place where, for a time, people couldn’t swim in the ocean due to some bacterial overgrowth? I know that it was a beach town north of PV, but can’t remember if it was Bucerias or a different beach town?? Does anyone know/remember?
Chevel the chihuahua from birriria ponce! with her friend. And that cat is my neighbor. Not sure where you filmed him, but he hangs at the corner store near my house, usually.
👋 HI. BEAUTIFUL 😍 PEOPLE LOVE WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR P.V. I'M FROM MEXICO 🇲🇽 CITY 😊. LIVING IN CALIFORNIA POR SO MANY YEARS AND I GOING TO RETIRE NEXT YEAR. AND MY DREAM IS TO BE ABLE TO LIVE THERE 😢. BUT IS GETTING TO IMPOSSIBLE. $$$$😢😂.I HOPE LOCALS 🙏 ❤️ START CLEANING UP. LIKE 👍 YOU DOING IT ❤😊
This work is definitely needed. I'd be interested in helping with northeast cleanups. P.S. I have seen lifeguards in some towers- mostly during Semana Santa.
Thanks Paul, I normally enjoy your great videos however on this one I have a different take. I believe that we are guests in this country and therefore having a bunch of self serving virtue signalling Canadians showing Mexicans what they should do can be very demeaning to Mexicans and if the local community thought it was as important as Canadians think it is they would sort it out very quickly . By the way I walked passed that corner on Sunday and yesterday morning and it still looks exactly the same.
I don’t get too wrapped up in the identity of the people and instead focus on the outcome. The program is for a once a week cleanup so it makes sense that the garbage would be there again.

So cool. I wish people in Phoenix Arizona would do this. Thanks for making this video.
Maybe you can be the first one. Thanks for watching.

Glad you enjoyed it! I did write his name and the song in the video. José Luis “Chelis” Trovador.

Oh man..
Wow, she certainly feels entitled!
That’s crazy!
I hope her tourist visa is taken away.
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing! 🥰❤🥰
De nada!
Thanks Paul! Great video and we love our adopt a block initiative and of course all of our friends at Pacifica Bucerias!
Good stuff Bonnie!! 🙌

Excellent video. Good job sharing the volunteers and awesome "b" roll.
Thank you!
We bought next door to Pacifica and will be joining this group.
Super!
We also bought next door to Pacifica and will be joining when we retire at the end of the year.
What a great way to meet your fellow Gringos in Bucerias and show the locals your respect for your second home! Gracias to my fellow Canadians!
Yes. There are also a growing number of nationals who are participating as well 😉
❤the garbage people! I wish I was there to help. Really enjoyed this video.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
I think they need more basuras (garbage bins) as well! We noticed there weren’t many when we walked around Bucerias.
For sure. Garbage bins would help a lot!
Hey being a garbage man myself I'm happy to see this, thanks for posting and we will be joining this clean up movement.
Right on Dirk!
That's awesome! Community is my fave!

Loved this episode so much. Felt the spirit of this place come across so vividly.

A program to spread awareness to kids would go a long way. There is a landfill outside of town.

I know that sayulita had this issue from time to time. But since I’ve been here in Bucerias there hasn’t been any major issues.
That's sayulita. Bucerias has more of an open coastline so the water is better to swim in.
Chevel the chihuahua from birriria ponce! with her friend. And that cat is my neighbor. Not sure where you filmed him, but he hangs at the corner store near my house, usually.
Haha that is him. It was in front of Birria Ponce.
I have noticed that culture of throwing trash on the ground. I have had to teach my husband not to do it, he's from Oaxaca.
My wife teaches me to be better too!

Ok good to know. I guess I avoided the beach this year. Follow the link in the description to join the group.
I was surprised this winter when I was told to put your garage on the street in a pile
Yeah I think there could be a better system.
Bucerias is the only Mexican town I've lived in. How do other towns manage their garbage and street cleans?
@@bryngelsonjoy I was in PV and they did that. There was garbage everywhere
you are not afraid of insulting them the mexican
No, not afraid of insulting anyone ;)
