As an a&p, cutting in an access door on the bottom of a wing due to an a.d., how does the qualify with the faa? Major, minor, does an ia need to sign off? How do I get my design approved? Can I make and install? How do I prove it will be airworthy? Piper has a access door kit. Can I copy it and install it? What do I have to do with the faa to make it legal? Many more questions, but I know you don't have that much time. Thanks for any response.
That FAR 21.9 is written poorly..I would assume generally ..after reading part (a) that all of the following requirements must be met, unless "OR" is typed after each requirement. But neither "OR" nor "AND" is stated. By not stating "OR" or "AND", everything becomes ambiguous. Leaving the poor A/P open to being screwed in the court case following the accident. By another lawyer, the $400,000 per year crowd that doesn't have sufficient command of English to make the regulations clear, concise, or complete. I say complete because of the frequency that obscure LOI's matter. LOI's not referenced in regulations, just left in obscurity for the few who bother to find them, in all of our spare time.
While reading aloud the sentences we understand that the Owner can be not only he and /or she nowadays . Isn't it the vivid example of how not to become a slave of the words, is it?
What if the "Owner" is also and A&P? Im assuming He/she can still produce the part bc they are the owner. Thoughts?
Can you do a video about the new ATSM standards for Part 23 aircraft? I think this new ruling will open a ton of new innovations

And all of these new regulations came as a result of what? Nothing. I own it, I'll do any fuckin' thing I want with it.
