If anyone has any suggestions for the next arty tutorial video, or something you'd like to see. Send me a message about what you think I should put in for the next video. Thank you for your support, it means a lot to me! 💙💙💙
I know it'd be a lot of work, but maybe show some good arty locations for each side of every map for occasional arty players? I play arty maybe one every 100 games and wherever I go, I find out I have no shots on anyone due to topography (hills/buildings in the way), 😕
Thank you for the tutorial. Very good for the beginners. 🙂 To further improve, there are some good comments in chat, but also: a) Speed everything up: People speak at 100 to 175 words per minute, but they can listen intelligently at 600 to 800 words per minute. Prepare what you want to say beforehand, and in general, SPEAK FASTER. b) Mute your friend's microphone. When you demonstrate a situation (very, very useful to us), please make sure you are the only one with the mike on. Listening to a heavy man's breathing is not something a normal person will enjoy 🙂 c) For further videos with "Arty Hotspots", prepare map screenshots with drawings already on them: vehicle positioning for every map (both sides) with the corresponding optimal target positions. And then talk just under 10 seconds about each one. If interested, we can pause the YT video so we can watch and re-watch that position (and your commentary) as many times as we want. d) Use precise keywords (although I agree that in a programmer's world all of them are "objects"), like: bush, fence, car, truck, pile of rubble, ruin, tank carcass, North, South, A7, B5 etc. e) Make one video per map. Better for us to find it and better for your YT algorithm as well ;-) f) Keep the videos around 15min, max 20 min. long. Users don't usually have 49 continuous minutes to watch your training video. Is waaay too long. My advice? 1. DO a series of generic arta tutorials, one per map. 2. Then do a series of "best arty by tier", showing all maps with the same arty. You can insert Twitch content, by cutting all the reload times and the bad shots. 20-25 min. max. each. 3. Same for an arta tech tree. That will keep you busy - and us happy - for months. More YT videos, better for every party involved 🙂 Thank you again, and "Happy Clicking!"
Thanks for the comment. You are right in what you say, but I am not a professional in editing. But I will try to make the videos better in the future. It will help me to see my mistakes and improve the videos. Thank you very much for the comprehensive and detailed comment. 🙂
Great video, started playing arty a few months ago and this video is the best tutorial I have watched for World of Tanks period I learned a few things that I had no clue about. Plan on watching more videos and see you on Twitch. Thanks for taking the time to an actually explain things.
I really appreciate this tutorial on the nuances of clicking. I've been playing WOT for more than 5 years and still learnt a lot (aiming up before clicking on minimap is a real gem).
Fantastic video Doc. This will help me level up my artillery play. The video I'd like to see next is actually either 1 long video with bookmarks or lots of very short videos that show the best place to set up as artillery on each map from each side. Where do I drive to? Which bush do I hide in? What lines of fire will be most beneficial? Cheers! Small edit: I would also like a video showing how to kill the enemy artillery with counter-battery fire.
Great tutorial video Doctor Nix, thanks a lot, you show us some of the must basic things that a "clicker" should know, but many of us didnt, also you show us something realy dificult to teach and learn, but with time, patience and dedication many can get and it is a personal skill, its call sixth sence, to predict where the enemy will be. again, thanks a lot for a very good video.
Great video! Learned and improved a lot of what I knew. Thanks! I know that when i was trying for arty missions like the fire one, you can use any of the three tanks that have the bishop/304/CrusaiderSP small gun and aim for engine decks. You want to have them at the very edge of your firing range and therefore you will have a huge firing arc and they will come down straight on top of the tanks. Great for this are tiger 1, or any of the square flat germans, M1 and m6, French and british heavies. But this was a long time ago.
Thank you so much! Could you make a video of simply the best position to be at for every map to get the most damage. When I play arty I find that whatever place I choose, theres a lot of objects blocking my line of fire. Especially city maps.
Thank you so much for this amazing guide. I recently bought back into garage some arties just to do some missions again and nothing more, but.. I always hated arties like many WoT players, but somehow as finished few missions, and watched some of your videos, I kinda started to enjoy clicking :D Bought like 6 arties on various tiers and now I am trying to become good clicker and hopefully try to at least 2 mark some arties :D
This is great! Before I get much further you have a mistake. Hover over the little boost slot icon. It says "Standard equipment from the ___________ category will be more effective if mounted in this slot." So a standard IRM is +10 slot bonus it is +12.5, bounty at stage 2 which you have is +15, and bond should be +16. But bounty and bond isn't standard, so they would retain that bonus in any slot.
Finally some Arty love. It takes skill to support the team with artillery. idgaf what people say artillery isn't easy and you are at a disadvantage because you have to be focused on your top down view instead of mobile and able to evade dynamic enemy team movements. Light tanks and arty dont get enough credit. Passive scouting benefits arty more than active wheeled scouts that I consider more of a fast medium tank. LT job is to be eyes of the team not to do dmg. Just my two cents. Thanks for the great video. I understood your English fine btw.
Me encanta la risa malévola del Doctor Nix cuando dice "garaaage". Empecé por tratar de conocer mejor al enemigo... ahora le estoy tomando el gusto a la artillería jajaja.
a good video could be nice places to park your arty. sometimes when i play arty i end up trying to aim at places were i should have been parked elsewhere on the map.
Nice tip on the raise barrel, CTRL mouse marker, quick aim, shoot :). How do you like the snapshot skill? I get some surprising good shots with that. It is always my favorite to hit a moving tank with arty, then having the other player call me a bunch of names and say I am cheating. LOL. It is important to be able to predict the behavior of your opponent after watching them move for a few moments, that is a very important real skill in the players head.
Very helpful, thank you God Pig 🤗 Especially the gun up in the air and aim in td mode before actually aiming is vehehehery helpful. I'll use it next time I play my piggies and make some people happy 🤭
I didn't realise about the signal boosting being of importance, thanks. The one thing I haven't really mastered is how far from the arty tracer should I aim when I counter battery fire: help on that would be much appreciated.
Top-aim in the area where you suspect the enemy SPG to be. When you see the tracer, it's best to aim behind the closest cover behind the starting point of the tracer. If you have a team mate nearby, a stun HE near the enemy can cause their camo to drop and for them to become spotted. They usually get shot at pretty fast, so that's easy assist dmg.
5:00 he is talking as if we have time to switch ammo during the battle... it takes upwards of 20 seconds to load a different kind of shell in an SPG (if you have intuition) and by the time you want to shoot the tank it is ether already dead or on 10% HP...
Bishop, FV 304, Crusader SP (Stock gun), Grille, Hummel (Stock gun), Conqueror GC. From tier 5-10 thats it. As for the position, you don't have much choice on Ruinberg. You have to adapt to your team and the enemy team.
Hello Doctor Nix, the video is really great. Could you please make a new video about the new distribution of skills after the new update? Many thanks, best regards, Ranger70
Hello Nix! I just found your channel. I also started the Soviet SPG line, and I am at T7. Based on your advice (found on Skill's site), I switched back to the stock gun, and battle results became much better. What about the T8 and T9 Soviet arty? Is the 203 mm gun the better choice on those? Thanks for the help in advance.
Any reason he reloads the past shell first and then uses inuition to change the shell? Would it not be better to change instantly after firing skipping the inuition step/load time?
I can't recall where his does this, but it maybe that while reloading, a different target was spotted and a different shell type is better to use. Or at start of battle when you dont load in until after battle starts. Or maybe he's just reminding people how useful the intuition skill is on arty (before they made changes to Intuition skill, no one would really consider change ammo types when more often than not they'd need to wait the full reload time....especially at higher tiers).
Thanks for a great video of giving the enemy the right medicine :). Are you guys 100% sure that "Snapshot" skill works for arty? I am not, because in the garage, if you hover over the tank characteristics in the right hand column, Snapshot does not feature anywhere! Please let me know what you think.
I presume that wasn't a real game? I wouldn't like to be on a team where the clicker just sat there all game aiming quickly or otherwise at random rocks and not causing any damage.
This is overall a terrible tutorial, he is showing us the BEST SPG in the game, using BOND equipment, a 6 skill crew, directives and food... He is shooting at stationary targets in a practice game, everything he shoots at is fully lit the entire time... what a joke video. Maybe he should try showing us SPG gameplay that is more realistic? Oh wait, it would show us that SPG is no skill, 100% luck and you spend 40+ seconds reloading only for your shot to miss or for the target you were aiming at to die before you can fire...
If anyone has any suggestions for the next arty tutorial video, or something you'd like to see. Send me a message about what you think I should put in for the next video. Thank you for your support, it means a lot to me! 💙💙💙

Especially in City maps!
I would like to see a video on how to predict tank movements. Straight line is easy, but timing for a rocking tank is not as easy. Thank you! 👍
Do a video on how to counter-battery arty.
A in depth tutorial on T92 HMC please :D

I like talk speed. Anyone who like faster talk can use - play x1.5 or x2 speed
@@JohnSmith-fv3zg True. Better to talk clear and slower. Then we can boost it, and often do if it is too slow for us.
Wow! This is a real return video and not that of the jedi.
Glad to see you again. And thanks for sharing all your expertise.

I did not know that raise barrel trick and I have over close to 20k battles in arty. Thank you very much Nix....

It would be great if you can do tutorial on all the Arties in the game, with builds and commander skills.👍🏽
Brilliant. I thought I knew how to play SPG to a decent level but you have shown me I actually don't. Thank you
Very informative video. Thx you
3:38 ah yes the famous beano cooler, i also enjoy cool beano when im feeling bloated.
Good guide! Ive learned more than I was expecting. Thank you!
Great video Doctor Nix thanks very much for sharing your knowledge
261 is a nice arty only downside is 20 shells, often run out on GBs.
Interesting as you use rotational device, must try this on mine. Great video, TY.
Master class. I managed to do SPG-15 but this will help me do it with honors.

Hello, Doc! This is an outstanding, helpful, and instructive video on the art of clicking! I nominate it for the CLICKER HALL of FAME! 😂👍🏻
Thank you very much! I am sure that your advice will help me a lot in the execution of the artillery missions.
Appreciate that guide!
Thanks for the video, very helpful.
Thank you for making this video Doctor_Nix. It will be a great help for new arty players like me
48:00 lol didn't know there was a ELC camo for the Borat :D

Very helpful, thank you God Pig 🤗 Especially the gun up in the air and aim in td mode before actually aiming is vehehehery helpful. I'll use it next time I play my piggies and make some people happy 🤭
Awesome tips TY VM

I will look and see if you have a video on Counter Battery Artilley. I've been looking for one.
5:00 he is talking as if we have time to switch ammo during the battle... it takes upwards of 20 seconds to load a different kind of shell in an SPG (if you have intuition) and by the time you want to shoot the tank it is ether already dead or on 10% HP...
Subscribed.
Step 1. Dont play arty.
Jokes aside, good video with many usefull tips, thanks!
Hi Doctor, which Arty is able to shot behind bunkers and buildings? Which positions should i used in Ruinberg? Thank you Doctor.
Bishop, FV 304, Crusader SP (Stock gun), Grille, Hummel (Stock gun), Conqueror GC. From tier 5-10 thats it. As for the position, you don't have much choice on Ruinberg. You have to adapt to your team and the enemy team.

It's in "Bonus to dispersion during gun traverse".
How did you change the camera angle when aiming?
In arty mode press G button.
@@doctor_nix THANKS DOC
Hallo Doctor _Nix what Arty would you recommend for Tier8 Stronghold? Thanks
I haven't played stronghold for a long time, but I think M40/43 it's still the best.
is cammo mandatory for spgs?
No ;)
If you just play the game normally you can always switch to arty once you develop brain rot
Here here here. I would like to be a Good clicker. Is an Update planed.
