I was thinking the same thing. A stage that probably cost less than $200 for lights and a piece of fabric background. A look that doesn't match the MV or the teaser photos or the album theme. For such a beautiful song, I hoped the performance video would measure up to it.
This level of angelic grace is almost non-existent in K-pop today, but Red Velvet always brings it. They're unique in that way. Is it not on trend? Sure. But they never needed to follow any trend. Their concepts always stand out.
