Description: Religious life takes place in Benares, sacred city among the sacred. Merchants sell their carnations in front of the Vishvanath, or "golden temple" as offerings, Hindus purify Shiva's lingam with the sacred water of the Ganges, devotees flock to the temple of the goddess Durga (warrior form of Parvati) populated by monkeys, while widows leave the temple dedicated to them on the ghats. Finally, as the crowd gathers to listen to the reading of the sacred texts, the sadhus meditate while the snake charmers hope to collect a room from the pilgrims.

Yes Sir you are right KYA DIN THE ... We were under British Rule , we were treated like dogs in my own country..... KYA LOG THE .... most of us were illiterate , Most of us were living below poverty. I don't know your age , but I am 45 & mark my words when I will be 70 or 80(If I am able to live that much of the time ) I will also tell my next generation Kya Din The .... Kya Log The .... By the way just a few hours ago I did my DARSHAN OF KASHI BISWANATH....
