No sounds for musicians in Audio Settings!

Apparently it sounded beter but ala,s not without that hideous background munching the sounds... on 'Browser built-in noise suppression'
My USB mike on this laptop makes it sounds worse sometimes -which is absurd!
I am slightly amused but also a bit fed up of these tech blockages I have had for so long!. But I have an audio interface and just need to buy a decent mike or two -so I can do it through them! :)

Hey, When I download zoom in Linux/Ubuntu I don't see this option. Original sound for musicians. Any idea on what to do?

HELP! I do ADR and VO frequently (using Pro Tools Ultimate, Aux I/O, and Audio Bridge to route audio to and from Zoom/Pro Tools). I use Zoom to connect with remote clients, sharing studio audio and video. In doing so it is essential that I enable "Original Sound for Musicians" or else no voice or music from my Pro Tools session routing are heard over the Zoom meeting. When it works it works beautifully. But why does the "Original Sound for Musicians" toggle on the main screen sometimes DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY? Yes, I know it has to be enabled in audio settings, but it also has to be enabled on the main meeting screen. It is usually on the upper left, sometimes upper right. But sometimes it is nowhere and can not be turned on. Zoom tech support is impossible to contact and web searches do not turn up any useful info except to tell me what I already know. Hoping somebody in the same situation can help. Mac OS 12.7.5, Zoom "workplace" v 6.11, Pro Tools Ultimate 2023.12, 64GB RAM, Mac Pro Late 2013 Cylinder. Thanks for clearly reading my question before responding. 🙂

Does it show that option if I log in Zoom from my browser? I don’t see it.

All very clear, but although the video description says "enabling Original Sound in the Zoom desktop App", a quick search shows that the Original Sound option is not available on desktop unless you use Google Chrome and then use a plug-in that a private user has created. This seems crazy: do musicians only use mobile devices? I definitely need a full-size screen for music lessons to help check and compare eg embouchure and fingering. My Zoom app is up to date, but only the most basic audio settings options are available. Is there some more recent workround?

I think you're mistaken! My zoom desktop app allows original sound for musicians and my students who are on desktop have all been able to use it.

OK: thank you. This made me retrace my steps. Both the Zoom Community chat room and the Bing search response to "Zoom original sound for musicians turn on" say clearly that OS is not available for the Web version of Zoom (eg a post from Mark Sabatella, introducing his plug-in to get round the problem for Google Chrome users.) And Zoom desktop client audio settings has only one option, which is about stereo, not OS. And certainly my last music lesson was adversely affected by the fact that my teacher had OS on her iPad, but the buttons in meeting view that she was asking me to use were just not there on my Windows desktop screen. However by going through the Zoom Support Site and joining a test meeting I've found a meeting view that contains the buttons. Hopefully I'll be able to use that live next time. Thanks again.@@pianofluency

@@henryderwent I hope it works out! Curious to hear if you find a solve... sounds like you are on Windows which could be the difference, I'm using the Mac desktop app.
