Cara getting mudded is total pay back for wishing Matt to fall getting out on the rock....lol. You guys weren't lying when you said how beautiful it is up there. Love the moody weather even though it isn't the best camping weather. Might have to plan a trip up there one year with you guys.
I was just up in the Keweenaw Peninsula for the first time a few weeks ago and it was absolutely beautiful! The fall colors were amazing I just wished I had my SxS to ride the trails.
It was such a great time! Your video does it justice my friend! I couldn’t help but laugh that you caught Yolanda van at the gay bar and I’m glad I heard you coming so I didn’t turn around and look at your shot at the photography class. Goose is so cute you guys are such good dog parents he gets to go everywhere in style! Hopefully I’ll get to see you guys in Overland the red This weekend!
I drove up Friday hoping to run into you two, but alas, I missed ya. Still a great time solo exploring the Keewanaw. My favorite place in Michigan. Great video, you captured the beauty of the area!
The rivetr that flows into lake superior is the Gratiot river. I have a place in the keweenaw, great place to use our jeep! Come in Late January or February a whole different world.
Word of warning on the Gay beach, those are "stamp sands" from the mining era in the Keweenaw. There is arsenic & heavy metal dust within the sand. A rainy day better that a dry dust day at Gay. You can read more on the Keewenaw historical website.
Welcome to Michigan! I’ll be in that area in a few weeks to run the 7 Mile Plane Crash Trail. I heard they recently got dumped on with over a foot of snow. Should be fun!
I've been overlanding in Copper Harbor a couple of times. I haven't seen that jampot store, I'll have to check it out next time I go up. Thanks for making cool videos!
i drove through seney wildlife refuge over the winter and you can take the trails almost from the top to the bottom of the u.p. Trails aren't SUPER hard but they aren't super 2wd friendly. my friend had a cherokee, and i brought my subaru outback we had a great time.
Hey, fantastic video of my home state’s Upper Peninsula! I have thought about doing KOAR, but it hasn’t worked out yet. Question, at 2:00 minutes in, can you share what trail you were on? I would like to check that one out. Thanks and keep up the great videos and adventures, I cannot go as often as I’d like, but your videos are helping!
If you could respond please. You were on an overland near the heads of a river flowing into a large body of water. Dont remember if it was Michigan or not, but you were wearing a blue overland pants that had dark patches of extra protection against wear and tear. What is that brand or website? Thanks brudda. Love your videos.
Other areas have some nice places, mountains, etc. but there is a magic in and around the entire upper peninsula that has to be experienced to fully understand.
You want to know the difference between Yankees and Damm Yankees??? Yankees come down to the SOUTH to visit and go home.. A DAMM YANKEE come down and stays, because we don’t charged inflated prices to strangers.. it’s called SOUTHERN Hospitality.
can't believe thimbleberry is $25 at the jam pot. about 10 - 15 years ago it was about $12. i thought it was expensive then. but damn, inflation is a killer. i'm from marquette. about a 3 to 4 hour drive to the keweenaw. how much was the sea plane?
So you’re saying you’re a petty snowflake that doesn’t take time to get to know someone before judging them? 🤔😂😂🤦🏼♂️ I’m probably more conservative than you are. I just like having fun. 🤷🏼♂️
Baikal is fresh water, it is the largest by volume. However, Superior takes the cake for largest freshwater lake by surface area. Respectfully, you’re both right.
To further poke the bear I'll add that the great lakes together are the largest sources of fresh water in one area in the world. The pissing match continues.
Copper harbor is beautiful but sucks due to people. People camp and take shìts in the woods. It is everywhere and the mice try to get in your vehicles.
Absolutely in love with the U.P.! lived there almost 10 years!!! Huge part of my heart is still there!
Yay my homestate
Just got back from copper harbor, last week in September. Definitely fell in love with it!!
Fantastic vid y’all!
Thank you sir!!
Amazing, we're just under the bridge (Big Mac) and so plan to Overland the UP next year..
LOVE route 2 west....my FAVORITE beach (lived in Hawaii, and have travelled all around the country, Ca, Fla, Me, Or) "UNSALTED AND SHARK FREE"
Just beautiful, I’ve never being there before , long ways from Atlanta for sure but I’m going to make it happen one day ❤
I bet the air smells fresh. It's about time yall ride together. Like the camper.
Just getting the mud off some repairs from my UP trip. Shhhh don't tell everyone its the best. I grew up on Lake Superior. Enjoy be safe.
My stomping grounds. In petoskey right now camping and color touring .
Love the intro! I could watch Goose run backwards all day!! 🤣
LOL. Glad you enjoyed that.
😂
Oh that ambulance with the silver duct tape on the side was worth the view!
Another “Superior” video guys !
Awesome! Always great footage and the narration is always enjoyed.

This will be my big trip next year. Gotta get to the UP and knock out the two badge stops in MI.
I was just up in the Keweenaw Peninsula for the first time a few weeks ago and it was absolutely beautiful! The fall colors were amazing I just wished I had my SxS to ride the trails.
Great to see you in my backyard!!! You need to go west more and check out the Ottawa and Sylvania wilderness!

Great video Matt!!

Watch for Tsunamis.!! Lol "UNSALTED AND SHARK FREE"
Glad you enjoyed the state I live in!
Maybe one of these years I'll make it to that as well... Slim chances..but MAYBE!

Ha! Watched 22 after 21. Glad to see you made it to Jam Pot.

Yall ever stroll the beach and look for Lake Superior agates?

Next time you run through Michigan give me a shout. I’ll send you some coordinates to a few southern camping spots.
I didnt know there was a beach you could drive on! Going to need to do that when i get my truck😮😮
The Jam Pot is awesome!
I love munk muffins , the Jam pot is the best place on earth for huge delicious muffins
There is great place for Jeep!!
So wonderful^_^
Thinking about actually moving up that way do the trails have names ?
So wanta do that. Looks like a great time
You have a location on that spot at 3:09? AMAZING! Would love to take my kids there!

At the request of some locals that’s one I don’t share publicly.
Bummer, I’m relatively local to the area … but I understand. Anyway to PM me, if they approve?
@@garygomer7940head east past the start of Horseshoe Harbor Beach Trailhead...
Gay Beach... You had me cracking up!
😂
The locals call them the Gay Sands... Cool place to off road but a horrible ecological disaster due to copper mining....

That was in last years KOAR video. I love those pants. They are Revolution Race. amzn.to/3gqmyLk

KOAR fills in a need . All the jeep event seem to by past states i want to camp and go flyfishing .

@3:14 ah yes the face of every spouse/significant other ever upon a similar suggestion
Great video guys as always. Which portion of the BNTrail did you do? Keep up the great content!
Thanks. It was the very southern end of it I think.
what trail did you follow for this?
Wow! What a beautiful looking area...thanks for sharing! The UP looks wild & uninhabited. How cold was that water???
Generally, cold

I don't remember how much the sea plane was but it was worth it.
Looks great! How many rigs showed up for the event?
I honestly have no idea.
Has that window crack expanded 🤔
It’s holding steady where it is. Lol.
I could have gone for some snozzberries
I know all the trails up in Michigan bc I'm from Michigan before i moved to Wisconsin
Nice :)
That's a Subaru......that's outrageous. Subarus are all at the junk yard :))))
Not really...i have owned 18 subie wagons 1980-2003. ALL of mine ARE in the junkyard. Great cars, beat the HELL out of them!
Never camp on superior shore line. It can get really nasty really fast.
We like to live dangerously. LOL
Second
😆 🤣 😂 GAY BAR 🍸 😆 🤣 😂 😹
TO FUNNY 😁 no punt intended 🤣
First
there's a reason that the u.s. federal government calls the great lakes "inland seas."
Yes it is beautiful. Part of the beauty is that we are avid conservatives up here and we like to keep it that way. Purple hairs, be gone!
So you’re saying you’re a petty snowflake that doesn’t take time to get to know someone before judging them? 🤔😂😂🤦🏼♂️ I’m probably more conservative than you are. I just like having fun. 🤷🏼♂️
Lake Baikal in Russia is the biggest lake In the world. Beautiful video regardless!
I should have said Fresh Water Lake.
I was about to move away from this crappy state but guess I have to visit these 🤣
You should. It's a whole different terrain than the rest of the state. Very cool experience. Very relaxing cruising...
This crappy state? Come on we not in Ohio 😂
Half of those vehicles are not real overlanding vehicles
And what is a "real overlanding vehicle"?
Copper harbor is beautiful but sucks due to people. People camp and take shìts in the woods. It is everywhere and the mice try to get in your vehicles.
Nothing to see here folks…nothing but trees and mosquitos the size of golf balls…this video is AI generated 😂
