There are plenty of bad tanks in War Thunder, but few are as frustrating to use as the Italian C13 T90 light. Despite having an enclosed turret, the crew is vulnerable to even coaxial MGs. The 90mm has relatively poor penetration, an average reload rate, and poor damage. In the blog post about it, Gaijin devs were having a difficult time finding anything positive to say, and I can see why.

8:24 I had this problem too, sometimes I burn to death even if someone helps me. The weird part is that afterwards it's like I'm lagging: I can start moving but get pushed back in position, if I shoot the round doesn't cause any damage and I can shoot instantly again(this time without the round, just the recoil animation)

I tried multiple times to help an ally fight a fire and not even the fire icon disappeared, yeah...
Had this happen at least twice, others ingame said it's a regular occurrence.

The fire extinguisher not working for helping others has been like that for a while. Funny how one of the Battlepass challenges was to help others and you couldn't do one of them
repair challenges are way easier in naval

@@lonewanderer2797 There's a ton of those at this point. If you want only vehicles that saw official production, you'd be cutting out a significant amount of game content, especially for the minor trees.
You could try object 268. I think its pretty strong with that 152mm cannon and 14,5mm heavy machine gun.
It's also quite fast for a heavy tank destroyer.
Object 268 is probably my favorite casemate in the game
I actually prefer the 12254.
It's surprisingly sneaky at times.

8:15 its been like this for a couple of months now, being on the recieving end sucks so much, but it sucks way more that there was a battlepass challenge for it, wich was made way harder due to that bug

So the c13 t90, beyond being a below average vehicle, has two significant things against it in context. It sits at 6.7, with no other Italian ground vehicles (Italy has a strong 6.3) but also at 6.3 Italy gets the aubl with the same gun, which his effectively better in most concrete ways (strong lineup, same gun lower br, simmilar survivability, much better mobility)
the mobility of the c13 is better than the aubl except on roads. it would be better if the c13 was at 6.3 as well so players could have a choice of which to use in that lineup
Actually, the C13 T90 isn't alone at 6.7, for it has the Italian M26 Pershing to accompany it.

I main italy and i remember the only reason i was looking forward to getting this tank is that i saw its hull was resistant to .50 cals, and italy only has one vehicle at 6.3 that can actually stop .50's
But then i realised it had the same turret the AUBL has, with only 8mm of armor on it and 2 of the 3 crew in it
And then gaijin gave me a talisman for it later down the line
The C13 T90 is one of those tanks you look at in the armor preview and think why would they add this, then you play it and realize it's surprisingly better than a lot of other vehicles Italy gets. It's one of my favorite Italian tanks to play personally.
only thing missing is an appropriate 6.7 lineup, but we can always wait for the next BR update for them to raise fiat and aubl...

I personally prefer the AUBL it has about equal mobility but more situational, much much smaller, same gun, and a lineup.
i love this vehicle tbh, you dont get overpressured and your hull is immune to 50 cals, also the 90mm heatfs can be used in uptiers
.50 cals can pen the side through the radiator, that's how the M48A2 disabled my driver

You know you have a bad APC when wearing plates drastically increases survivability.
So, Gaijin in their quest for infinite content added an Armoured Personnel Carrier that hasn't got actual armour to speak of in a game with no infantry...

It seems like all vehicles in the Italian tree are pure CAS magnets... no matter what tier
I would highly recommend the IKV 91. It got a little more overpowered when they added the laser rangefinder, which is what is usually talked about, but what I find unique about it is that it has an excellent response time. It seems like one of the better all-rounders outside the US tank tree.
I've played it since it's 6.7. Its laser rangefinder is the game changer. You don't have to show yourself because its shell is HEATFS which have same damage at every range. And because it's HEATFS, it have drop ratw which you can shoot behind the terrain while enemy can't see you.

Yes, IKV 91 rocks. Love that thing. But annoyingly, the IKV 91 can swim in real life but not in the game.

“You can’t even get spotted or you just die.” Welcome to Italy, Spookston. Half of the tech tree is medium Shermans that don’t get Sherman armor, even on angleing. I will recommend the 4.7 case mate that behaves like a STUG and eats KV-1 shot like a champ when angled.

i played this thing for a while, it was literal hell without premium and it being the highest BR tank in my lineup despite being that bad. the only success i had with it was peeking walls in reverse so the enemy shoots the empty back of the tank and does nothing, also the scope magnification is fun
There is a known bug thats been around for at least 3 weeks where you cannot help fire extinguish teammates. It doesn't work at all (in my case, I only play with a friend). We assisted at least 6 fires between us and it failed everytime. Yet it still consumes an extinguisher.
It's been around a lot longer than that I would say. A few months at least.

It's supposed to carry 9 infantry in the back, thus the reason there is no extra ammo storage there. Designed through a partnership of two private companies as a replacement for the M113, it never went into production.
Gotta say it's good for CQB, and I wish Gaijin added more of its variants.

@@bornonthebattlefront4883 Issue is that even if the vehicles are good on paper, the guns in general and calibers are unbalanced and all over the place. Some planes are missing bombs, and literally no fighters in this tech tree get air spawn unless the match automatically does it

I am currently researching this thing and I've never seen anyone play it and I don't remember seeing anyone use it.
I wanted to see what it was like.

Its funny how my first ever nuke was achieved thanks to this thing, and from my experience even before the nuke this thing was actually quite fun to play, especially when I use HESH. I find HESH to be a lot more preferable to HEAT in a lot of my games.
I don't really know why they added this thing, it's literally the AUBL 74 but slightly more mobile and significantly larger. It's even got the same turret so it can still be killed by a 7.62 from the front.
And they still put it at 6.7, while the aubl is 6.3

This is basically a non 50cal proof sta1 with scouting and in 6.7 for some reason.
I wish APCs would have the troops they could carry as part of the crew. They would just serve as backup crew.
While helping with FPE doesnt work (extra fun cause it was one of the requirements for a battlepass mission", I guess we have to be happy that helping with repairing doesnt just increase the repair time.

you should try the ultimate 5.7 germany curbstomper, centurion mk1(it is honestly quite impressive how incredibly often you get downtiers in it)
It's due to the 6.0 BR, play any nation 6.0 and you'll often get favourable BR's. Simple reason being: Very few nations have 7.0 tanks, and even fewer have proper lineups for them so it is basically a dead BR. People who play 7.0 generally just end up including their 7.3 tanks, and the ones who do play 7.0 just get dragged up to 8.0 which is a pretty filled BR range.

@Sandwiches. I outright skipped from 6.7 until 9.7 on the US tree. Grinded my way to 9.7 by just playing 6.0 and 6.7 (never 6.3) and now I have a decent lineup at 10.7/11.0

I love how the T92 has a HEATFS round as around the same pen, while reloading faster, having a higher velocity, and being lower caliber. But it also has APDS, a much lower profile, and a .50 cal, at the same BR.
That has happened 8:25 every single time I tried to help someone. They should fix the game I suppose.
The turret armour is excellent for keeping the sun off the crews' heads.

It looks a lot like Sabrah's ASCOD II, except im pretty sure that the ASCOD has protection against up to 14.5 mm rounds
Overpressure is such a balanced mechanic. 7kg of TNT does nothing to a 25mm plate of RHA with a direct hit but ~250g of TNT will overpressure a tiger II (H), 8,6kg of TNT hitting halfway down the barrel of an IS-2 will kill the entire crew and 6g of TNT (6 fucking grams of TNT) will overpressure an M4A3.
