sister easy weeding foil is better and much more washer friendly. Imo it also has a much better finished result. If your looking to introduce multiple colour effects, deco foil is your best option.
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last few months xD
Super tutorial! I looked on RUclips and your website but couldn't find the video about using easy weed adhesive with the deco foil which you mentioned at 7:44. Would you be so kind to provide a link? Thanks always!
Love your videos so much that I now try to buy only from you. I do wish you’d have done a close up on the deco foil colors. I’m trying to compare their rose gold to other brands you have. Thanks again! Y’all rock
This one is just an overview but it shows the colors a little closer - ruclips.net/video/aL4JHIINaI8/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/cmTC3S0vKFk/видео.html
Can you use the Heidi Swapp minc foil in place of the deco foil? I like the colors and its durability better...and where I live it is easier to find and purchase.
Hi Robin, I haven't used the Heidi Swapp foil with the Siser Easyweed Adhesive, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It seems like a very similar product.
The deco foil packaging says 5 or so washes. I have one that I have washed about a dozen times, inside out and on cold. It is still holding up great. The Siser foil htv will hold up longer but I would still wash it inside out and on cold, hang to dry.
Hi Jessica. What it the product you used to lay on top of the Deco foil? It looked like parchment paper? I've seen videos where no paper was used, the heat press was used right on top of the foil. I don't want to ruin my Easy Press.
Seems like everyone is forgetting about the Brother Scan n Cut2 machine. Have you ever used it. I have the Scan n Cut2. I would love to see some videos using your vinyl and the Brother Scan n Cut2 please.
Awesome sauce! But I has a couple ? Which one is longer lasting (through washes, being used as a base, and wrestling, etc), and which one is softer? Please and thank you!
Tracy, Those are awesome questions!!! I didn't even think of those. The longer lasting is going to be the Siser Easyweed Foil. It will last a long time. We recommend washing inside out on cold and hang dry to prolong the life of both products. I think the Easyweed Adhesive & deco foil feels more flexible.
For my research, the one that needs the additional adhesive starts to peel off after 10 to 12 washes. Would anybody like to give any input on that who has used it personally?
Hi, to cut Siser EasyWeed Adhesive it is the same setting you would use for EasyWeed. The Iron On setting works great. You don't actually cut the Deco Foil. That is applied after the EasyWeed Adhesive is. Here is another video that will cover how to use it - ruclips.net/video/cmTC3S0vKFk/видео.html
Once the deco was peeled, what were the few spots on it? It looked like little dots and I assumed maybe that's why a close up wasn't shown? How would I prevent that if it were actually not suppose to be there?
Hi, decofoil is fun to work with but it does require even coverage and an even surface. If that doesn't happen exactly then it will have a few spots like that. However, the fun thing about it is you can place that deco foil sheet down a second time on the spots that didn't get complete coverage and add heat again. It works great to fill in any of those. Hopefully that helps.
Hello- Iv been playing with my heat press to foil entire jeans (adult male size jeans). I am having a hard time trying to get a perfect peel of the adhesive- the film curls up on the sides sometimes and other times i do not get a perfect smooth peel.... my temperature is set to 300 on the heat press- iv tried with 305 and 315 too. Iv had better results with 300 than with 275. Since i have to get the adhesive everywhere using my 10 X 12 size press, i have no option but to work in sections. The problem is- if the foiled sections get pressed multiple times they loose their luster. I cant avoid this entirely. All videos iv seen here where people have used easyweed adhesive have been to do messages on tshirts or symbols right in the center of a cotton tshirt. Not sure what im doing wrong but id love to have someone experiment with the denim all over jeans application. If you ever get to it, id love to see what happens...
You dont want to layer anything over top of glitter or foil. It will stick but wont be durable. I recommend using the knockout method if you want to use them together. It looks like they are layered but they are not. Your project will last much longer. ruclips.net/video/famxMYcuzoU/видео.html
I would recommend the 'metal' line for everyday use. The deco foil is a little more delicate and won't last as long expressionsvinyl.com/heat-transfer-vinyl/siser-heat-transfer-vinyl/metal/
Hi!, no you do not need a mat underneath. Here is a link to a video we did that will explain exactly what you need to do - ruclips.net/video/dz4MwfDFjzY/видео.html Hopefully this helps!
Here's a chart with our recommended settings. Remember to always do a test cut, but this would be a good place to start expressionsvinyl.com/machine-settings/
Annette, You can download both the Cricut and Silhouette programs for free. I recommend playing with both programs and then deciding which one you feel most comfortable in.
Did I see correctly, you did not use a mat? Was that a Cameo or a Cricut? Also, Could you use the Adhesive with Deco Foil on paper if you have a Cricut Easy Press?
Hi Monica, I used a Silhouette on this one. You can use it without a mat. The deco foil and Easyweed Adhesive will work great with the Cricut EasyPress.
Also, I wanted to thank you all at Expressions Vinyl. You are all so quick to answer questions and your videos are great. Well prepared and informative. I use RUclips to learn about new techniques and yours are by far the best. I like to get to the info without all the yip yap. Thanks!
It is washable, it does hold up well for the first few washes then it does start to scratch. Siser no longer makes the Foil that is shown in this video.
The deco foil packaging says 5 or so washes. I have one that I have washed about a dozen times, inside out and on cold. It is still holding up great. The Siser foil htv will hold up longer but I would still wash it inside out and on cold, hang to dry.
Hi, we have used Siser Easyweed on cups and glass before but haven't tried the deco foil. It isn't really recommended for it. There are a lot of adhesive vinyls that will have the same shiny look to them. Here is a link to our metallized vinyl that works great. expressionsvinyl.com/metalized-vinyl-12x24-sheet/
The vinyl foil will hold it's shine long if the item you have it on will be washed a lot. Here is a link to it - expressionsvinyl.com/metal-12x20-heat-transfer-sheet/
Hi Erenee, the Easyweed works great for layering and will be great for a base on your designs - expressionsvinyl.com/siser-heat-transfer-vinyl/easyweed/
Safia Faseehuddin agree, I thought it would go into why choose one over the other and which one to use for which projects. I already know how to apply them. I wanted a comparison.
Thank you for your input ,I also use an iron..cant afford the press.
It has worked for me..you have good vinyls.

This video helped so much because I just purchased some foil that came with the adhesive piece.
We're happy to hear that!
Answered my questions in the first 2 mins and I thank you!
Yeah! We're so glad to hear that!
How do u print ur logo can u do a full video how to do start to finish with what equipment u need and what u need to do

Sorry for the late response @queenopearls. Here is a link to using the easy weed adhesive. ruclips.net/video/cmTC3S0vKFk/видео.html Hope that helps!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for and more. Thank you!

Expressions Vinyl thank you! You guys are so helpful.
Thank you so much for your 101! Very useful...

Hi Robin, I haven't used the Heidi Swapp foil with the Siser Easyweed Adhesive, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It seems like a very similar product.
Great video but I wished she'd showed a close up of the shirt so I could see the difference in the two.
How durable is foil on a shirt? I have never tried it. Would imagine you would wash it inside out.
The deco foil packaging says 5 or so washes. I have one that I have washed about a dozen times, inside out and on cold. It is still holding up great.

Thank You😃😃👏👏👏👏 this video is very helpful 😃👏👏👏😃😃
You're welcome 😊

A heat transfer cover sheet is not required to apply the foil, however, we use them to protect the vinyl that has already been applied.
Seems like everyone is forgetting about the Brother Scan n Cut2 machine. Have you ever used it. I have the Scan n Cut2. I would love to see some videos using your vinyl and the Brother Scan n Cut2 please.
Hi Deanna, thank you. We do have one we just do not use it very often. We'll have to work on that and get a few videos done with it.
Awesome sauce! But I has a couple ? Which one is longer lasting (through washes, being used as a base, and wrestling, etc), and which one is softer? Please and thank you!

Thank you so much. My wife and I are beginners at this and I just mistook easyweed foil for the deco one and ended up with a giant square in a shirt 😂
Oh, no! LOL, I think we've all made some mistakes when starting out.
I got it right the second time around at least. 😆
How durable is deco foil while washing the t shirt and after that can i iron on the t shirt
What is cutting setting for the Siser EasyWeed Adhesive PLUS deco foil on a cricut?
Hi, to cut Siser EasyWeed Adhesive it is the same setting you would use for EasyWeed. The Iron On setting works great. You don't actually cut the Deco Foil. That is applied after the EasyWeed Adhesive is. Here is another video that will cover how to use it - ruclips.net/video/cmTC3S0vKFk/видео.html

Hi, that is something we haven't actually tried due to the issues that you mentioned be we will look into it.
Hi is there any difrent on the fabric after using easy weed and deco
You will be able to feel the HTV on top of the the fabric but the fabric under the HTV should feel the same
If i wanted to do a project where i had to layer glitter vinyl and the deco foil, will the deco foil stick to the glitter vinyl?

i have a cricut air explore 2, do you NOT need a mat underneath the easyweed????

I'd love a machine but so unsure witch to but an learn on x

What are the settings to do the design on silhouette?
Hi Jacki, Here is a link to all our suggested cut settings. expressionsvinyl.com/machine-setting.html

will that go thru a washing in a machine too?
Hi Kim, the Deco Foil will go through the wash. You'd want to do it on a gentle cycle and turn the shirt inside out. Hopefully this helps.
pls. tel me what is the name of paper you use?
Hi, we're using Multi Use paper to protect the vinyl while ironing it on. You can find it here - expressionsvinyl.com/multi-use-paper-12x20-sheet/
I love this
Is this stuff washable!? Seems like the foil would get scratched and damaged really easily.
It is washable, it does hold up well for the first few washes then it does start to scratch. Siser no longer makes the Foil that is shown in this video.
What is the durability of the foil on clothing?
The deco foil packaging says 5 or so washes. I have one that I have washed about a dozen times, inside out and on cold. It is still holding up great.
The Siser foil htv will hold up longer but I would still wash it inside out and on cold, hang to dry.

The vinyl foil will hold it's shine long if the item you have it on will be washed a lot. Here is a link to it - expressionsvinyl.com/metal-12x20-heat-transfer-sheet/
Good video
Is the deco foil machine washable?
Hi Vera, yes it is.
expressionsvinyl.com/deco-foil-transfer-sheets-5-pack-for-use-with-easyweed-adhesive/
I need to make a shirt using the knock out method with gold metallic in the middle of the image. Do you recommend the siser easyweed or the foil?
Hi Erenee, the Easyweed works great for layering and will be great for a base on your designs - expressionsvinyl.com/siser-heat-transfer-vinyl/easyweed/
And I can use the micheals 50 percent off on siser vinyl ... cause I sure can't use on cricut!!😂😁
craftygirl79 yes!!
Can you stick foil OVER vinyl?
Yes! It can be the top layer.
@@Expressionsvinyls So I can iron press a foil logo over vinyl and then stick the vinyl to my boxes?
@@chouchoue Yes, you will be able to apply iron on. On top of vinyl you will press for less time when doing this.
Thanks for wasting 10 minutes for me to watch this and you not even show me a closeup of the final product so I can actually SEE the applied foils😒🙄
Safia Faseehuddin agree, I thought it would go into why choose one over the other and which one to use for which projects. I already know how to apply them. I wanted a comparison.
Agreed!
thanks for the videos!!! I love all of them...But, woman.....show me a closeup of the finished look....I'm old and can't see squat! LOL
And the difference in the look of the foils, if any!
