Eagle: You are lunch
Hawk: I'll do your chores & homework
Eagle: Friend 😁
it worked
Amazing. A hawk-napping eagle.
That’s one lucky baby hawk.
Lol it's gonna be eaten alive
It’s probably because it started calling to the eagles and instinct took over
Also the baby hawk is still alive but it also acts like a eagle
It’s interesting how in the animal world we perceive this as adorable. But if this were to happen in our human world this is basically kidnapping.
If a wild eagle saw you get kidnapped do you think it would care?.
@Craig Walters Or, like other predators, the eagle stole from a nest for an easy meal and instincts kicked in. Either way that chick was kidnapped. But it's important to not put human morality on animals that don't know better, especially when there is footage of raptors feeding their expired young to the other chicks.
Adorable. .... kidnapping?!
None of the two. At this point the eagle brings live prey to teach the offspring since it's close to fledging . The hawk will be consumed.
only humans care of such nonsensical things.........
There’s a good chance, if the eagle chick doesn’t kill the hawk chick, that hawk will be adopted and fed by the mother eagle.
We are witnessing another miracle with a bald eagle family adopting a baby hawklet!! Nature is truly amazing to behold!! Many thanks Christian for covering this nest and to Pam @ Gabriola Rescue of Wildlife Society for her special footage of the hawklet being brought in!! ♥
This is so wonderful! Thank you Lady Hawk for covering raptor news day after day! Wonderful
Totally agree with every word Lady Hawk.. Thankyou so much 💓 💖 💗
@@SassePhoto Thankyou also ❤
Thank you, @Lady Hawk. Good to see you. I appreciate you and Dr. Sasse for all your wildlife coverages. Much love to both of you. 👵🏻
Malala the little Red Tailed Hawk flew from the nest on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 6:17:29 AM, just as one of the adult eagles flew in with another bird in it's talons.
I cannot be certain, but it almost looked like another young hawk, just about Malala's age. I took screen shots of the adult eagle's entry and Malala's departure at about the same moment.
Anyway, Malala has flown, and I feel that it would be wise for that young Hawk to not come back to the eagle's nest. Congrats Malala! ✌
Yey, it's happened again, nature and nurture is a wonderful thing to behold! Thx to everyone involved in giving us something good to mavel at, please give follow-up. look at the size of the eaglet compared to the hawklet.
Miracle on the gorgeous family eagles 🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹
such an amazing footages you've captured.
Omgoodness this MADE MY DAY🤗💏🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🌠🤙🏼❣
Thats incredible how big it is. Our local hawks were very small when brought in by the eagle.
Wow 😮 amazing
Well done, Christian!
Thank you Mark - so exciting!
Truly amazing
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I hate that the poor little hawk is limping. But so happy they adopted it.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
❤️❤️ love to them all
*It's currently happening in Northern California, 2 Red-tailed hawk in the nest, I was able to video and take pictures of the newly adapted hawks along with the juvenile bald eagle and mommy BE*
Do you have the link for a video? Or any title? Or what town that it's happening at coz I'd love to see it. TY

What a beautiful story. Mother Nature is absolutely awesome. Hope that red tail hawk does very, very well.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
😅😂lol that's a prey
This happens at my house. Sometimes we go pick up a pizza for dinner but later change our minds to chick-feel-yeah!
temporarily adopted lol...this is like tying the baby pig/lamb to the tree and feeding it scraps until....
lol
How interesting! And we get to witness it again... I just checked and Lady Hawke has footage from early Sunday 6th, where the eaglet, large enough to self feed actually feeds some bites to the hawklet! Amazing, lets hope all going well. Thanks Christian. 👍🦘
Edit: Sorry, date was Saturday 11th... and as of 14th things are going well!
You can see it all on my page where this footage is from. I have made updates from day 1 on. I loooove this family so much. I feel we are so blessed to have thus cam this season. 🥰🦅❤️
this is the equivalent of a spouse bringing a rabbit or pig to eat, only to have the other one adopting it as a pet
I love it 😀 💗
母性愛が目覚めたのね!
この子は、ラッキーな子だ!
Птенцам вдвоëм неплохо, подружились. Этот птенчик ласковый, чудесный малый. 🙏🙏🙏
hiya sasse!♡ this is amazing! I thought it was a joke. but no it's real🤫👍. a formal adoption. papers signed. 👍🦅💓
Is the Eagle going to raise the Hawklet? Thank you for this footage.,
Yes Susan!
Do we know for sure if the eagles might have changed their minds? I was watching the nest yesterday and didn’t see anyone.
@@TheWindy451 Maybe you are watching some other nest cam.. It is now a happy family of 4 and Malala (the hawklet) has grown in stature in a short span of time (14 days) and already started wingexercising!!
keep meal for next day?
Looks like a snack for later to me!
Hello again Christian - AT 0:35 it looks like the baby Hawk is limping - did it hurt his right leg?
If so is it healed now?
This is amazing - thanks so much for your time, effort and fantastic equipment! - Stephanie
I feel like that's just cause it's young
Eagles understand this is freedom town.
Eagle: Sees Hawknest.
"Nice, free children"
It seems they brought it as prey, but after seeing it looking like their own child in the nest, they kinda adopted it
When he goes to school, all the other eaglets are going to make fun of how he looks!
The eaglette was electricuted near by which was verified, and the hawk hung around for days wondering where his buddy was. Very sad ending.
Baby Malala! 🥰
Lucky for the baby hawk that the baby eagle didn't bully it.
For a second there i thought they were gonna eat it.
Lucky baby 🍀hawklet now growing up learning skills from gorgeous parents healthy precious Malala getting food parents love and take care it’s awesome and fantastic family blessed to the gorgeous family eagles 🙏🤍🙏🤍🙏🤍🙏🤍
Adopted or prisoner of war.
Hawk: are y’all here to kill me?
Momma: he was, but don’t worry mijo he’ll pay for it later. *continues to lash daddy out to get more food*
Well, I have a question. How did it turn out? Today is July 7. from Tampa, Florida.
7/16 ...little baby hawk now named malala owns the nest
A little bit later, too. Mama Eagle: rülps
researchers have been exploring the interactions between eagle’s caught prey such as hawklets and survival of the hawklets. If they get for food, the hormones in charge of feeding young can, and sometimes do, overwhelm the hormones the hormones for killing prey. There has to be an abundance of food available, though, from what I understand.
Eagle's are menace to hawks, they steal their cry and now they steal their babies 😂
I'm gonna guess the eaglr wanted to eat the hawk but upon placing the baby in it's nest, it started to perceive the hawk as one of it's own ckicks since they look similar to eaglets. I think so because birds often have this sort of perception between the nest and their young, albatross for example will not even feed their chicks if they sit outside the nest.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
The Hawklet, Malala was wise and began chirping (begging) for food. Maternal/Paternal instincts kicked in after Junior the Eaglet began feeding her, then the parents did.
A crow will not pull out the eye of another crow.
Eagles be like : we have only 2 babies , let's adopt another one.
Storks be like : we have 3 babies , let's kill one of them .
WORD!
It was supposed to be lunch, until the wife changed their minds.
Lol that poor little guy but have thought he was dinner.
I almost thought the eagle (s) was going to consume it.
I guess babu hawks look alot like baby eagles. She forgot the baby was dinner.
"adopted" is a strong word. Maybe "placed in refrigerator for later" is a term id use.
They never made a snack of her!
I brought her in as food but she was so adowable I just couldn't bring myself to feed her.
Didn't you mean to say eat her? Coz they did in fact feed her.
Sad for the hawks parents! 😢
✌🏻👊
Have to wonder if the eagle went after the mother? Also the hawk looks like it was hurt on the right leg, was that from the eagle carrying it and it trying to escape?
Its not like humans dont keep animals for later consumption. Eagle Hansel and Gretel.
The daddy eagle brought the baby hawk and said "Here mama I know you been wanting a baby so I went out and got you one I hope this will make you happy honey"
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
That's practice for the young eagle.
This is a different story,This Eagle's 🦅 wife had been barren for years and wanted to commit suicide so the husband adopted this baby hawk.....I learnt it saved the situation and they both lived a happier life afterwards
And just where did Junior, their surviving Eaglet come from... A stork delivery?
@@janajamer734
It's a miracle 😂🤣
One of theirs probably passed away
this one is named Malala the hawklet
Surprising the young eagle didn't kill it.
Follow up please! Is the baby still alive, or???
really good like a hundred videos on here
way 🆒😎
The hawk was supposed to be dinner but they decided their kid needed a baby brother. I saw a similar story where this happened. Unfortunately that red tailed hawk didn't last very long after he fledged and was out on his own.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I hadn't heard that part of the story. Are you referring to "Spunky"? Do you have a link or a title or any info I can check out?
ЗАЧЕМ ОНИ УСЫНОВИЛИ ЧУЖОГО😮😮😮??????
Mom Eagle : There is going to be Two baby birds in this nest until I say otherwise and you my eagle baby number one are going to have to put up with it. Now go to your new freind and play with him and tidy up this scruffy nest and your feathers as well. I will make you understand nature is not at all bad as you keep complaining about. We are not just mouldy old Eagles as you keep moaning about. We ! are also the Guardians of the forest too sometimes. . . . Ok Mom I will try to be a better son for you, but he is not going to have everything his way you know. I still need a bigger fish than he does. . . . Mom : Tounge in cheak.. . . always have the last word don't you.. . . . . . ..
原来是抓走给它当儿子的,不是专门吃它的,哎呀呀这我就放心了😂
Is there a live cam? If so, does anyone have the link?
Check the driscription.
Who doesn’t want to keep food for future use during hard times?
More than likely it will be eaten but every blue moon this sort of thing works out
Where can I find the link for this live cam?
ruclips.net/video/pTzSm5NCK3I/видео.html
So, um, there’s no more baby hawk on the live feed today 😬. Does anyone know what happened?
Hawk fledged. You can see it at: GROWLS eagle cam B.C.
And after Junior the Eaglet died after fledging due to electrocution, Malala has been seen off season with her Eagle parents at the beach reported by a local resident.
Did the parent adopt the hawk or the baby eagle? Birds seem to feed any chick in their nest, hence cuckoos. Seems to me, the parent brings a baby hawk. If the baby eagle eats, it's food. If not, it becomes family until someone gets hungry.
#wildlife
Another one?
is that for lunch ?
The young eagle was earlier that day having a tantrum because it was a only chick. " mum, how come all my classmates have siblings they can push out the nest and I don't?"
Few hours later.....problem solved
Does this happen when there is just one eaglet and it decides that baby hawk is a sibling? Or is it something else?
If there had been 2 eaglets I don’t think this would have ended well
Yes, there’s another video online of two baby eagles and the bigger one purposefully attacked the smaller one and eventually pushed it out of the nest. it died. The mother eagle was very aware of what was going on and did nothing to interfere or stop it.
@@latsnojokelee6434 I looked for that video. I think it was a case of the father disappearing and food running short. But E1 was a bully from the start (when E2 hatched).
@@latsnojokelee6434
That's normal Raptor behavior!
Uh hmm that's someone else's baby bird!
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
In the human world this is called kidnapping
Ppl are so dumb comparing wildlife to Humans Smh 🤦🏻 anyways the baby hawk wasn’t adopted Engels like to keep live prey in the nest so their baby Engel learns how to kill and the meat doesn't spoil
Wondering who's going to pay for baby hawk's therapy over all this later on, lol.
Taxpayers!
What A Great Sighting!
I'm very happy that the precious Hawk was adopted instead of eaten. This story really fascinated me when I first came across it very recently. It seems that God's creatures are debunking a lot of misconceptions in the wild lately. I appreciate this story and information of which has been shared with us, thanks!
It could be a snack for later.
I wish they ate it. So unfortunate.
Anyone who thinks this baby hawk will last is dumb. If it were brought in at the same time the eagles eggs hatched... maybe. Notice the hawk is scared and not eating? The young eagle will kick it out or eat it. The eaglet is just too large and savvy already.
But it has happened before where the hawk will be raised to fledge from the nest. This isn't the first time it's happened.
Interesting.....
@@raven3212 - Maybe that explains how some of these species are inter-breeding. That makes sense.
