Karen: "Officer, how can I make this traffic stop 100x worse for myself?"
Always amazes me how many times the cops explain “If you don’t do “X” you will be arrested. Then the 1st thing the suspect asks once cuffed is “why am I under arrest?” 🤔🤔
They're only asking so they can argue with the first phrase the cop says.
@@georgemartin5980 huh?
Pretty interesting concept where the cops are held for everything they do or say. Meanwhile the wise beyond their years criminal must be held in esteem. Sad to watch the imbalance that society has imposed recently our country
their minds can't comprehend the concept of "consequences"
That goes along with the old standby "I'm not resisting!" while fighting tooth and nail.
She’s freaking out about not feeling safe with the officer but apparently she doesn’t even know the person who was riding with her in the truck. Bizarre.
She is going to feel VERY safe in jail. Nothing bad ever happens there.
She can be arrested for abuse of 911 since there was already an officer there. She sounds like a sovereign citizen to me.
Karen Sovereignson : "What's your name and badge number?"
Cop: "No worries, it'll be on the arrest report."
It amazes me how many people who talk themselves into handcuffs when it started as no big deal.
The shocking part is she’s behaving like this and she’s not suspected of DUI which means she’s this dumb stone cold sober
Another prime example of a traffic stop that could have taken 30 seconds, turning into a night in jail. Good job, Karen!
Night in jail?! In Arkansas (where this takes place) your sentence can be up to 5 years even for a first offense. This person better get a good lawyer....
cop: you can sign citations or be arrested for obstruction
karen: i choose none of the above
cop: ok arrested it is.
And then she acts all surprised!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did she notice that she was NOT alone? I understand being cautious, but she had a passenger.
Everyone is so contrary. A country full of internet legal experts. We are doomed.
Great video Mike, thanks for the Shout-out and I subbed!
So many problems could have been solved if she had signed the citations and gotten out so he could check the VIN number. Yet, she is insistent the police are the problem.
Wow, first comment! The Woman in the truck, it isn't that she doesn't know anything, it's that everything she knows is wrong! The best line is when the woman says that they need to train the cops better... Says the person sitting in the back of a police car.
Right ✅️ you are
Congratulations for being #1 on this one. I'm sure you'll get notification soon but Mike does a "surprise" Dinner/Dance at Caesar's A.C. every fall for all of his "first responders" and some of his select members. Room and a 2 great meals are included. All you need to do is get yourself to A.C. See you there!
@@chrisguitars5167 Last year was amazing!
@@chrisguitars5167 Lol what in the flip are you on about? I figured it was a joke but I'm not sure.
@@Dad_a_Monk Tell me about it man! After dinner karaoke with surprise guests from Backstreet Boys. Say what?! Too much.
Look at her - she's like a law enforcement instructor. So nice that the officers have her there to help explain to him how to do his job.
That friend got away with drugs.
That was my thought too.
Don't you love when you loan your car to somebody and they get it towed
It happened every time I lent out my car with illegal equipment, expired tags, and no insurance. Fortunately, I learned my lesson and don;t lend it out any more.
When I was a teen, I went to sleep over my buddies apartment. He asked to borrow my car(my mother's actually) so he could pick his gf up from work. Since I knew this would lead to a make out session and possibly more between the two of them, I elected to stay at his apartment. I fell asleep and was woke up the next morning an hour before work with a phone call from my friend. He was in jail and my mom's car was impounded because after he dropped his gf off, he went out siphoning gas and got caught.
So the problem comes when he wants to run her vin to see if the truck's stolen, and to sign an e-citation? But she refuses to get out of the truck?
What a waste of anxiety.
Almost sounded like she was trying to insinuate a tryst with the officer while he was gone from the vehicle. How evil.
I can’t get over how CHILL this officer is speaking mid high speed chase!!
With great driving skills! Taking those corners without a flinch
I think there’s a saying about the less someone knows about a subject, the more confidant they are of their opinion. Ms. Martinez is quite the example of that.
Yep, its called the Dunning-Kruger Effect. This cognitive phenomenon is characterized by an inflated sense of confidence in one's knowledge or skill with respect to a certain topic/task that, in reality, they know very little about or aren't particularly good at doing. It also applies to the opposite end of the spectrum for people who are highly knowledgable or skilled about a certain topic/task, and yet they generally underestimate their abilities.
I know this because I am a super-genius with a 480 IQ and 16 PHD degrees from Harvard and I could EASILY beat you in a debate about ANY topic whatsoever because I am so incomprehensibly smart and knowledgable.........
@@wellingnoton I was being as facetious as you lol. Thanks for the morning chuckle! 🤣🤣🤣
Did she really say "You can't under arrest me?" Wow.😂😂
It's always just the complete denial of reality that gets me.
"You can't make me exit the vehicle!"...after exiting the vehicle.
"You can't put cuffs on me!"...While wearing handcuffs
"You can't arrest me!"...As they're driving to the jail.
There is no such thing as a verbal "Uno Reverse" card for reality...🙄
My 18 year old received her first speeding ticket and when the officer handed her the citation, she signed it and handed it back to him with an Uno Reverse card. He laughed! She took a defensive driving course to get the ticket dismissed and not effect her insurance rate.
Ha 😂 ha
The "I don't feel safe" card is overplayed.
Overplayed by the police yes they’re always afraid of everything that’s why the first thing they do is grab their gun And start pointing it at everyone
I thought I knew everything when I was 25, too. Then I grew up. 😂😂😂
I'm 51, and I still don't know everything. Don't learn too much lol
I was that way at 16. By the time I was 25 I felt pretty dumb😂 Now I’m 33 and knowing how the world really works is heartbreaking.
100% correct about US case law. I remember learning all this in 2L CrimPro on motor vehicle stops and all that. But either way, even if he was incorrect, she should still just step out. What are you going to do, have a Constitutional debate with an officer on the side of the road? Has that worked for anyone ever?
This officer sounds like he is in a high speed chase every other day, he sounds so calm narrating this chase turn-by-turn lol
Little Rock Arkansas: it’s twice a day
He quoted Denzel Washington "Do ya wanna go home or do you wanna go to jail ?" From Training Day 😊
I would be concerned about the donuts myself.
Especially with cops around.....😁
I love the truck passenger 😂 “um officer why is she getting arrested? …Oh ok cool, can I get my donuts?”
When a police officer tells you to get out of the car, you get out of the car.
@21.55 She said "Usually" when I get pulled over."" How often are you getting pulled over? People who know and obey the law don't constantly get pulled over.
Having 3/4 of a tow bar connected to your tow hitch does not a bumper make. That should be an infraction too.
Maybe her friend took her purse because it had drugs in it and either didn't want her friend getting in trouble for it or wanted to keep the drugs for herself.
Driver: calling 911 on the police
Passenger: ordering an Uber and blocking the driver’s number
Hey Mike did you see that chili got arrested? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and he was whining about it too.
When I was a kid and someone acted silly, we use to say, "act your age and not your shoe size". I think this cop said pretty much the same thing to her.
She said I just have my donuts right there 😂 so innocent. Another good one Mike!
I'm sorry, I would have to book those donuts into "evidence". LoL
@@Dad_a_Monk Oooooooo Jelly One!!
@@PrimRoseLane Back in the day, my father used to break in rookie detectives, by taking raspberry jelly donuts to their first murder scene, for everyone to eat around them. LoL
I proudly carried on the tradition.
Caught a murderer my FIRST day as a supervising investigator, called ahead..."I have to make a stop first".
This was the 'yes' about no charges thing but also wanna bet the passenger taking 'her' stuff was actually looking out for em both by making sure there wasn't shit in there if the car gets impounded. She doesn't sound with it.
Yea I commented on this video from someone else that after hearing her in the backseat I think she’s on something.
She went from angry to crying and now she is calm and trying to be all nice.
The absolute sense of entitlement and extreme over-estimation of one's knowledge in this video is both hilarious and terrifying...she'll probably end up running for Congress someday. And sadly, if she is a true representation of her peers and constituents, we're all doomed.
She seriously said “you can’t under arrest me” 😩🤦🏽♀️🤣
She probably won't have to worry about fighting it. The prosecutor will probably drop it
🌟I got a low key sovcit vibe from her. She sounded like she thought she might have a warrant out. And she seemed somewhat surprised she didn’t. Good one‼️
I caught that too
I could never talk back to a policeman and I’m 73 yo.
When "Keeping it Real" goes Wrong-Dave Chappelle🤣😂🤣
I'm beginning to think shirts have been outlawed in Chicago 😅
Law talk with Heff 😆
You can wear them...just do NOT button the top 3 or 4 buttons.
Karen must've gone to the prestigious law school known as RUclips University
She was trying to explain the law to the cop. She could be from the office of DEWY CHEATUM and HOWE 😂😆😆
Dang…. High speed chase and homie is on a spare tire! 😂😂😂
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night
Why let anything after the blinding part make any sense ... right?
Aren't vehicles supposed to pull over to the side for lights and sirens?
WOW! You need to take a road test again.
Yes, you’re required to stop for lights and sirens.
Thank you Mom and Dad for not explaining the "I have rights thing" to me to the point that I would throw it in some cops face after being pulled over. The boys in blue are forced to argue with people instead of doing their jobs everyday. The patience these men and women have are unequalled by any other trade. Glad to have worked construction where we were allowed to run out of patience with each other.
Exactly. All I remember is being pummelled with the "You have responsibilities and if you don't pay this on time, it's nobody else's fault but yours" thing.
Rip great M and D.
(In a whiny Karen voice) “…and you’re a highway trooper. You should be doing your job.”
He is. He’s arresting you.😂
That certainly is a title there mike....are you sure you wanna do that?
That lady really is her own worst enemy
Apparently some cop did a welfare check at her apartment building, and she insists it's the arresting officer. He's State Highway Patrol, they typically don't do welfare checks. That's local or county.
A “house check” 😂
Love the friend with her...
friend: so she's going to jail?
cop: yes because she refused to listen.
friend: oh ok. Can I get my donuts out of the truck?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🍩🍩🍩🍩
Priorities!
New Mexican here… it is absolutely a Northern NM Accent.
The officer should have said "I don't answer questions"
She asked the officer if he had done a wellness check at her apt. building. She gave him the address and then told him it was him because she had it on video. 😂🤣
Why does she have someone in the car ,that she thinks would steal her stuff?
Why aren’t they checking if she’s intoxicated? She’s not acting right.
I borrowed a truck from a friend, got pulled over for the tail light being out. When I opened the glove box to get out registration and proof of insurance, there was a prescription bottle in there, with my friends name on it. The cops instatly treated me differently, and had me give them the bottle. Cops detained me while getting ahold of my friend, who told them I had permission to drive his truck & that the pills were his. They even had him confirm how many pills were in there. I was let go without any tickets, so all well that ends well. But I was cooperative the whole time.
You’re lucky your friend knew how many pills they had bc I have absolutely no idea how many I have. I only take them when needed so most of the time there’s more than should be when you do the math if that makes sense.
@@tellmeaboutit9975 That does make sense. And yeah, very lucky,, I wouldn't know off the top of my head how many pills I have either.
I don’t understand why Karen’s think they are helping themselves when they speak. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
She said she isn´t under arrest. That is the magical sentence. You have to release her! 🤪
25 looks like 10 miles of bad road.
13:14 You just KNOW it's gonna get fun when the trooper mutters into his mic!
I’m always amazed at how people can be SO adamant that they know the law, their rights, what the officer should/shouldn’t be doing, etc….and yet in reality know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
This chic is so ignorant; she knows nothing!
'Attitude' and 'Stupid' seem to always come as a package deal.
Good lord she thinks she knows so much. I about died laughing when he asked "How old are you?", '25", "Act like your 25 then." LOL
She said I'm justifying my arrest in my head. Lmfao😂
"I don't feel safe" is not a valid reason to disobey the police. Your feelings are not their concern.
“I don’t feel safe.” Darlin’, after watching this footage neither do I!!!
Agree, and it's very overused too. If the police stop you, anxiety is normal. If you're taken off the road, I feel MUCH safer!
I agree in her case. However, correct me if I’m wrong, but since there have been so many cases of criminals impersonating cops in order to pull women over, so it is allowed until backup can be called. Granted, usually, this is something that is mostly justified on empty stretches of road but it can be a valid concern. Yes, it’s obvious that this is a legitimate cop so she’s wrong.
Lol - my friend’s service dog’s name is Kaiju. Great screen name.
@Badger life I wouldn’t have any caring feelings for a drunk
That officer was WAY too patient with her! She would’ve been out of the car after asking her 3 times to do so! I wouldn’t play these stupid games! She’s 25 years old and acting like a freakin toddler! 🤬
Please don’t let her get to have charges be dismissed
But she never demanded to see the manager...
Cop sounds like slight hispanic accent, so NM for sure.
Gotta love Gen Z. They think they know more than anyone else about everything under the sun, and don't recognize anyone having authority over them Good luck facing a judge!
Yes BCSO is bernalillo county, Albuquerque NM
Some people don't realize their biggest obstacles in life are themselves.
"You should have been a lawyer, ma'am." FTW!!
I wouldn't feel safe in jail but that doesn't prevent them from taking me if my dumb ass gets arrested. Ok, yes, I'm yelling at the screen already. What?
@lawtalkwithmike you don't hang wet horses, my friend; it's "rode hard and *put up wet."
I heard the snapchat thing differently. I believe she was suggesting that he's the officer that came to whatever place she said and that, coincidentally (which never happens), she just posted video of that officer (him) on her snapchat earlier that day.
I am pretty sure he said the VIN is not "mapping" to the license plate. I am impressed. A strictly mathematical term from set theory, correctly used, from a trooper.
The "high" passenger was thinking, "they are buggin'"
I cracked up when the passenger said, can I grab my donuts😅
Everybody can blame Mr. or Mrs. Mimms of Pennsylvania for having to exit your cars when an officer orders you to.
"You look the cop that went to one of the apartments...where you at like one of these apartments. I put it on Snapchat"
My brain just died from hearing that.
She "usually asks the cop..." ffs how many times does she get stopped?
Having the right to remain silent does no good if you don't have the ability to do so.
First video: And it was their first date.
no second date lol
The woman wasn’t alone during this traffic stop! She’s acting like she’s a woman, alone in the middle of the woods! 😂
The stoned passenger was worried about her donuts 😂😂😂
Good evening Mike and good evening Chicago.
She was saying she has video of an officer doing some kind of apartment check in her building, and she was convinced it was the same officer. Hence the line about "there's no such thing as coincidence"
"You checked my record and it came back clean, right?" "correct" "YES!"
...OK, run that again. Use her prints this time.
This officer explained everything to her repeatedly.
I've seen a LOT of officers on here just say "are you going to get out? (no) Right, you're under arrest" and I've always disliked it, that they don't let them know that disobeying the officer is an arrestable offence
That’s a very arrest-able face
Martinez: "You did a background check on me?"
Officer: "Yep."
Martinez: "Everything comes out cherry?"
Officer: "Uhh, yeah."
Martinez: (under her breath) "Yeeesss."
What was she expecting to be on it?
Permission to come aboard!!
She sounds like she is surprised that her background check was clear...lol
Mike I have a confession to make. I’ve cheated on you with other pages. BUT! At the end of the day I’m always back with you. You have some of the best content. Thanks
They tried to get her for assault with a hairbrush. Charges were dropped when they couldn't find the weapon.
Great. My state wilding yet again. Ugh!
Whenever I watch a car chase I think, thank goodness no one died or caused an accident(where it applies). This one is I assume late at night with little traffic but it is going thru all kinds of areas including residential neighborhoods.
Growing up, my dad was always a long-haul truck driver. He'd often quit (due to getting mad at whatever company he worked for at the time- this was how it was done in the 80s & 90s- for whatever reason).. during these "breaks", he'd take another job doing random weird (for my dad bc he was a driver; not a road construction worker, etc..) things until he went back OTR. One, not so weird, job he took was a tow truck driver. Anyyyyyyywayyyyyssss.... Dad was driving the tow truck and came home one night (not used to that 😂) and said, "P-Shell, I sure hope you listen to things I tell you and remember them when you get older." (I'm thinking: I honestly hang on this man's every word, but UH-OH WHAT'D I DO?!) He finishes, "If you remember or hear nothing I've ever told you or ever will tell you, remember this: Nothing, and I do mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN, NOR EVER WILL BE ABLE TO OUTRUN Motorola! My tea glass I empty, by the way."
It's awful bad these folks that run from the police haven't come to the conclusion they're not faster than Motorola. 🤦♀️🤣🤣💀
There is a budding sociopath.
A closed mouth gathers no flies.
A background check??? Oh. My. God. 🙄 I would *love* to be a fly on the wall when the judge is "a newbie" too 🙄🙄
"You can't under arrest me"
On top of a Voided license, not valid registration, insurance, plus not knowing how to work the vehicle she's driving, she's pulling this nonsense? Real Smart! And now, this truck get towed! Bwahahahaha!!!😂
You know the officer wouldn't deny the passenger the constitutional right to donuts....
