Y'know what I kinda want now? For the phasmophobia team to go to the house the Ghost Finder lives in.
What is this, a crossover episode?
At first I expected the twist to be that Allison was the ghost pretending to be a ghost hunter (as she was the ghost named Carol Thomas in the first skit and she said she wasn't in the van in this one), but wrong house also does it.
Now of course there is the chance that he still runs into Carol-Thomas-posing-as-ghost-hunter when he goes to the right house...
I first expected him to be a victim, and now be haunting the house.
I half expected the joke to be that he's the ghost and that's why he couldn't find any evidence--because he was the one leaving it.

I love the idea of following some professional ghost hunter's and opening with them not getting anything like this. Oddly works really well for establishing that they are professional and skilled.
I'd expect if ghosts were real, ghost hunters would still sometimes get called to houses without ghosts. Unless they all have ghosts. "The dead outnumber the living 20 to 1. Do you really think all the ghosts overcrowding your neighbors' houses are just going to ignore your empty house?" Then again, maybe there's a reason why the house isn't haunted, and that's what makes them worried.

Door Monster setting up joked early in a way you will only realise after watching the end is one of my favorite things. It gives you an "OH! OF CROUSE!"-moment.

I totally thought that Allison was the ghost. She's been Carol Thomas before and some of the things she says, and others say to her, are suspicious.
Kyle to Allison: "Where've you been?" (They haven't found the ghost, but the ghost can talk through radios)
Kyle: "Are all three of you in the van? What is wrong with you?" Allison: "I'm not." (Ghost would be in the house)
Allison: "I heard yelling at one point." Kyle: "That was probably just me, I've been yelling at it the whole time." (He would have been yelling at her)
Even just having some of the crew's voices is super cool. Great to hear them again!

Let's be honest. The ghost was probably in the house and just thinks Kyle was very rude. It wouldn't surprise me if they were the one that possessed Kyle at least once, just to insult him back in writing.
Therapy seems to be working out well.
Prop's to Kyel's creative skills because even in a ghost video with no ghosts, I kept expecting a jump scare and was very nervous hahaha
I swear phasmophobia used to be eventful. But now I often can't get the ghost to respond at all until it's mad and starts hunting all the time. It goes from boring and frustrating for like 20 minutes to running and being forced to give up
do you play on high difficulties? the harder it is the less it will interact and show signs until its ready to kill you

My brother once had a situation where NOTHING happened. And then we realized: his friend had been in the van the whole time. So, on a hunch, we had them come inside too...
Yeah, it was a Revenant. Door slammed as soon as they stepped in, and everything immediately devolved into chaos. It killed two people before the others could escape.
The Revenant doesn't care about a specific player. The only ability it has is speeding up when it sees a player. I think you're mixing it up with the Banshee, which hunts only one player at a time and only hunts based on the chosen target's sanity, not the average sanity. However, they would have to be right at 51% sanity then walk in, lose that 1% sanity then the Banshee starts hunting right away. Theoretically possible but very unlikely.

It's easy to miss, but I do love the "The map I have shows four bedrooms" as a lead up is great.

The trick to ghost hunting is to imagine something scary when there's nothing to be scared of.
Carol Thomas must be so bummed tho. You prepare for the ghost busters all dayweek, you wear your creepiest dress, you spend days to scrape some words on the wall with your nails, you bring out all the childhood dolls from the attic to sit on the shelves menacingly, take hours to compile all the "rattling chains" ambients on a Spotify playlist and everything... And then they just don't come.
Wait, is this just a commentary on how you're so bad at maintaining your own house that you can't tell it apart from an abandoned, ghost infested residence.

Playing highschool. Spent literally 2 hours in there, found NOTHING. No signs. Didn't know where the ghost room was. Combed the entire building multiple times. No evidence. Multiple hunts but apparently nowhere near any of us, as nobody saw the ghost. Gave up and went home. Apparently it was a demon?
