- This is intended to help trophy hunters out.I hope these help you in getting the "virtually impossible" trophy. More to come in the days to follow. I've completed Raiden, Raiden (Ninja), X Raiden, Snake, Pliskin, Snake (Tuxedo), and am moving onto Snake (MGS1), i've completed sneaking, eliminate all, weapon mode, variety mode, bomb disposal, and am now on elimination.
Hideo Kojima adding MGS1 Snake with extremely difficult missions after completing all the other VR missions is the ultimate way of him saying “get fucked.”

Finally i managed to unlock MGS1 snake and im doing these missions , some are just a pain in the ass but thanks to these videos im getting through them

A tip for mission 8, after you nut punch the guy at 15:00, crawl in the vent to the right but stop when you turn to see the other entrance. Up to four people will hear you knock him out and will be there at the other side of the vent. You can kill them all with 2 grenades =D
I forgot you can punch enemies in the nuts.
Finally did it. Now just hold up missions and saving variety mission 3 for the finale last mission

I have literaly no idea how you don't get spottet at minute 4:38. I don't know how many times I've tried to climb up there and everytime one of the guys sees me. Not in the "who's there?" manner but literaly going on high alert and shooting at me. I'm really sick and tired of these missions. It's just 17 remaining but it's anything but a fun gaming experience.
Nice VR missions, I only had the chance to play the MGS1 ones...
I did NOT know you could nut-punch guards for a 1-hit K.O. - that's F*NG Hi-LARIOUS, dude, this made my day~
Finally, some videos I can follow. Was really tired of the ones with those guys Rambo'ing their way through.
the nut punch takes ALOT of practice, not sure how it works on vita, on ps3, you get up NOT close enough to hit them, but close enough to break their necks. in most of these i'm only doing it because you get a better score for not killing them. in level 8 in this video, where they're wearing body armor, you can't break those guys necks, so to keep from getting an alert, i had to nut punch, i take out 5 and then i get the m9.
That last mission I was 3 secs away from doing it first try but time ran out as I got near it lol. Finally got it done 6th try
Greatest series of all time. Found most of the vr missions quite easy but the shear amount of them makes this trophy very tedious unless u love the metal gear series like me. I've been playing these games ever since the nes and when mgs solid came out when I was in high school it led me to purchase every PlayStation since. Mgs 2 dropped the year I graduated and I got the big boss rank and made it through all of the vr missions. I play this series annually. These vr missions can be very difficult if your new to the game. For those of us who grew up with the series you already know that these mgs1 snake missions are incredibly difficult. It's funny that you have to complete over 400 and some missions to unlock the mgs1 missions. These missions separate the casual fan from the hardcore, or better yet the big bosses from the little bosses. If your going for the platinum I recommend not worrying about in it to win it because more than likely it will come naturally while pursuing virtually impossible. I spent an extra 10 hours ranking first in every mission until I unlocked it but now that I am 97% complete I found that I placed 1st in 284 missions. It's taken me 42 hours so far, which could have been prevented had I not spent extra time trying to place first. Have enjoyed every minute I've put into these and u will too if u love the series.
The VR training would turn a rookie into a simulated Solid Snake. As was the goal of the S3 plan. If you think about it... We are all Solid Snake.
Amen. Love this series. Currently on my mission to Platinum all the games. Platinumed MGS3, working on MGS2. Once I finish VR missions I just have to do the dog tags and Snake tales which I already did on PS2 so it will be smooth sailing.

For the final elimination mission, I managed to take out the first two guards before getting discovered. While the guy was radioing me in on the stairs, I ran up and snapped his neck. He got enough of the call in to trigger a full Alert, so I ran to the little cove just to the right. Whenever a guard approached, I readied the USP and shot him in the head. Most guards approach the area one at a time, luckily. I had to take a few shots on maybe three guards, but I ended up taking out *everyone* just by camping there.
Talk about lucky!

A little tip for mission 10. Since aiming for the nuts could be difficult, quickly shoot both their legs, it will result in an easier kill
Thanks for the video, just want to add for everyone playing this on vita: the nutpunch works fine for me and I've played both versions. if it isn't working, you haven't got the angle right or you're not close enough
glad to hear it! it takes practice, i think in one of my earlier videos you can see where i go punch... punch... punch... move closer... punch... punch... move closer... bingo! i had a really hard time with it at first.

MGS1 Snake VR missions are like... playing Ground Zeroes but with fixed camera.
How do you figure that? Ground Zeroes doesn't happen in a place similar to any of the environments in MGS2's VR missions.
What I meant is that the enemies can see beyond their usual narrow short sighted front view... and more like everything in front of them, a bit more similar to GZ... But GZ we can deal with it with our changing camera angles. MGS2, fixed camera.
Xepthrichros I see; MGS2 really made you dependent on FPV if you wanted to scout out an area without dealing with the fixed camera's problems. A bit difficult if you weren't used to it.
last level helps alot, but i got discovered while getting the psg-t, same hide under the there and snipe them lol
the first one i shoot with the m9, i know for a fact, will turn around and attack you if you unequip your weapon, if you've gone after dog tags yet you'll know that some enemies will give them up right away, while some require you to actually shoot them first. if you can't get the nut punch to work after a little practice, on level 8, start on the same guy, and once in alert go into the duct where i got the magazine from, shoot them in the head or the nuts for a one shot kill, but thats harder.

for mission 6 is faster to kill them of with the usp its faster easier and gives you more points i believe
There's an easier way to finish lvl5. All you need to do is chuck in the flashbangs in the window and it will take out the 3 soldiers inside
Can MGS1~4 be played on PS4??
Nope. All MGS games (except portable ops and comics) are playable on PS3 not PS4. PS4 has only MGSV (GZ and TPP)
yassineya ps3 has everything canon along with said graphic novels (digital)
Ps4 now has mgs 3, 2 and peace walker with gz and tpp with 4

In mission 8 how did you lower your usp like that ?
To lower a weapon slowly release the weapon button (square) you cannot do it on Xbox because it doesn't have analog buttons though.

There's a code you can enter for your name to unlock it all. It's just the Konami code but look it up for details.

To get one of the trophies you need to place first in 50 missions (any of them you choose) basically just do that with the ones for Raiden because they are easiest. If you do all of his with top score in mind you'll have it easy enough. To get the trophy for finishing all the missions, you do not have to place first, you don't even have to get enough points to place 1st 2nd or 3rd. and to unlock the characters is as follows: Raiden (Ninja), finish 50% or more of Raiden's VR. X Raiden, finish 100% of the prior two sets. Plisken's are the same, 50% of Snake's, and the same for Tuxedo Snake and MGS1 snake 100% the other variations of Snake. You would be well versed to just do them in order as well, clear all of the missions in one character before moving on because it's scaling difficulty.
So don't do half of Raiden's then jump onto Ninja Raiden or half of Snake's before Plisken's because it's a dramatic difference. Master and complete one set before moving onto the next
