Hello Alex ,my husband and I had the most fabulous week in Malta a couple of weeks back and I tried the rabbit in a restaurant in Valletta and it was to die for It was absolutely delicious! It isn't widely eaten in the UK so you never see it on the menu here, I'll just have to find a recipe and cook it myself. By the way on your recommendation we visited your home town of Zurrieq and wasn't disappointed. A lovely quiet little town, i can understand why you chose to live there.Thanks for your videos👍

It's been almost a month in Malta now and I must say that I agree with the gentleman there that finding good options for vegetarians is a little difficult and even if we find good choices, I think it is a little pricey (I might be wrong 😅). I however feel that there are a lot of great vegetables to select from and one can surely have a wonderful meal at home. By the way, I have the cheese pastizzi and it was awesome 🤤 Thanks for the video again ❤

Wow, the transition to one camera to the other at the beginning was amazing, it gives even more quality to your videos, I love it! :D Buut literally the only thing I didnt quite like in Malta, was exactly the food :/ Really I love everything about this island, but somehow the quality of food in the restaurants just wasnt it...Or maybe I should try a fancier one :D I will definetely visit the restaurant you showed us next time I'm going to Malta.. We loved the food so much. To this day we still debate who got the best desserts. The best was we call the “green cake” and then the date squares! We loved all but one place we ate but the two best places we ate were Sammy’s on Gozo and Rampila in Valletta.
I loooove the Maltese food! I’ve been to Malta twice now and of course my highlight was pastizzi , particularly the one with mashed peas and the chicken and mushroom one! Also the rabbit was outstanding! Also I love the Maltese beer and of course the price of food and drink! Mix it all with the gorgeous weather it’s a winner!❤

I really enjoyed Maltese food during my stay I’ve tried various seafood dishes and pasta! Definitely Punto is my favourite restaurant too! Not only the view and the food but the service is amazing too! I celebrated my birthday with friends there and the staff made it an unforgettable experience 🎉 Definitely will visit Malta and Punto again! Thanks for the video, Alex!

I'm Maltese Canadian, grew up in Toronto and must say that the pastizzi at Maltas Finest Bakery in Toronto are the best best pastizzi EVER! even better than in Malta, I was there last summer 2022 and the pastizzi everywhere in Malta are too greasy. I love ross il forn, the baked rice and the timpana is so good.

Hi Alex! We just finishing our short holidays in Malta. Managed to try just a few maltese things as traveling with very fussy kids and had to eat somewhere suitable for them. My favourite is cheese pastizzi! Ate them every day as there is a pastizzeria just round the corner from the place we are staying. Cisk beer is ok. Kinnie - not sure about it. A bit too bitter for me, but wouldn’t refuse it if someone offers a glass of Kinnie. Tried prickly pear juice too… 👀 didn’t like it at all… My friend suggested to add some gin to it to make it taste better but not sure about it 😅 Hopefully I’ll be able to come back to Malta one day and try all the delicious foods that people are mentioning in the comments

You are videos that are awesome. Food in malta is amazing. They have good restaurants, the same of them are expensive, but you can find cheap and nice too. For a very small country in malta is everything amazing . Your video are with ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I absolutely LOVED Maltese food when I visited last month. I made it a point to try Maltese food as soon as possible and I had the most amazing experience in a restaurant in Vallettaa called Nenu The Artisan Baker. I was amazed by how creative Maltese food is. I had a fish soup with a "bread hat" (not sure what the real name is for it) baked into the pot and I had to use my fork to break the "hat" to get to the soup. It is definitely not vegetarian-friendly so I can see why people might not like it. I was actually surprised and disappointed by the quality of the food from other nations - I've tried Chinese/Korean/Indian/Italian/Greek food on the island while I was there and they didn't impress me. So tourists if you are not a vegetarian and visiting Malta make sure you try Maltese food as soon as you can after landing!
If possible I would like to find a restaurant or restaurants that make a consistently good quality steak. I'm from the states, live here and it's very difficult to find. I also agree with you about tomatoes, I miss them very much. Really enjoyed this video as I always do and was impressed by this particular restaurant and will go there next time I'm in sliema. Ty

ALEX, I'M COMPLETELY SURPRISED & SAD TO HEAR THAT MALTESE TOMATOES ARE SOMETIMES TASTELESS 🍅 😔. I want to think maybe some are imported or Maltese produce has changed completely😮. I say, up to the 80's all food in Malta was beautiful, MAINLY Mediterranean diet and hardly any fast food outlets. Thanks to my parents I never abondoned my Maltese /Mediterranean diet (and exercise). As they say, "you are what you eat" and obviously "everything in moderation" - thanks God, for my age, I'm a living proof. Thank you My Malta 🍲 🙏. Can't wait for the day when I can be the judge ⚖. Compared to balkan countries the fruits and veggies here are lower quality and taste, and this is confirmed by Maltese when they travel to Balkans. But Americans living in Malta say that the food in Malta is 10x better than the food in US :)

lets be honest here, Malta has the worst food on earth. it's dog shit if I may add. worst of the worst, I rather eat canned tuna all day rather than maltese meal. everyone is talking about the view or the cocktails but the food itself is the absolute worst, and it is way way way overpriced. if you are in Malta injoy the other things but stay away from the food and the restaurants culture, or do like the locals and eat Turkish, Asian, or Arabic food instead. even english food is better than Maltese food I promise you

Yes there are, local trucks and also there is organic shop near Mgarr, as well the big supermarkets supply organic food

lets be honest here, Malta has the worst food on earth. it's dog shit if I may add. worst of the worst, I rather eat canned tuna all day rather than maltese meal. everyone is talking about the view or the cocktails but the food itself is the absolute worst, and it is way way way overpriced. if you are in Malta injoy the other things but stay away from the food and the restaurants culture, or do like the locals and eat Turkish, Asian, or Arabic food instead. even english food is better than Maltese food I promise you
