Hey y'all! If you wanna help support my channel, consider buying my album on bandcamp and leaving a review or checking it out on streaming services around the world: dylanparis.bandcamp.com/album/theres-something-better
Love this app. To get so many korg sounds for pennies in what is basically an I-pad daw is mega. I use it for ideas and then transfer the midi files to ableton. A brilliant piece of kit ✌️
why you don't use the transport button on the nano control ? the REC/PLAY don"t work ? you still use the ipad screen i just wonder why because i plan to buy a nano KONTROL
Thank you for your video (subscribed:)). Would like to know whether it's easy to change note/CC send channel right from the unit or does this require to use a utility ? Also I read complains about the quality of the helper app and the non compatibility with some apps because of the CC/note messages used. Are they easy to modify, is there any template system so we can switch the mapping easily ?
I have recently switched to logic pro for audio recording and currently use a Korg nanokey studio to make tracks. But I was wondering if I could setup my midi keyboard as a soundboard for when I record podcast for FX like claps or transitions?
I use it from time to time still! It’s nice to be able to map knobs and faders in ableton for low pass filters or in AUM on iPad for controlling levels
I see you own a zomoi usb-c hub, do you recommend it? I have an iPad Pro and I’m looking for a usb-c hub, but I don’t know what’s the best choice. I was thinking in buying the hyperdrive one, but I saw yours and it’s cheaper, and it looks well, what do you think?
I'm actually about to make a video about it! Spoiler for the video but there's a lot I like, it seems to have issues with data transfer and charging at the same time though. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the Hyperdrive back when it was a 50 dollar kickstarter
Gotta love Korg Gadget - What do you think of the Nano Key Studio as a controller? It looks quite cool. I've done a remix of Blue Monday on my site if you're interested.
I bought them in chunks and only ever on sale. They’re all half off right now! Probably paid over 100 at this point but that’s nothing compared to PC VST prices
there are quite a few midi controller options. for something this small and bluetooth maybe the xkey air. I use a keylab essential 49 most of the time, but it is a usb keyboard and much larger.
Love it mate! just a quick question, would you know if you are able to transfer this file to saw Logic or Garageband for further production. Say if id like to add a guitar part or something.
He's definitely a synth pioneer. I hear some similarity in the synths used as the Gadgets in Gadget are likely modeled after hardware synths Numan was using, but song structure wise they seem pretty different. Cool connecting point though!

Sounds great - slept on software
This was impro I can actually relate to. Thank you so much for the inspiration!!
Thank you for watching! 🙏😎

That Ableton export is clutch!
Best tatoo ever.
Thanks friend :)
@@DylanParisMusic Came here to say that. An excellent reminder.
Thanks for the video man. Keep it up!
Nice job!
Thank you!
Nice video thanks

Is it awkward to play with either right on left? Like you can play piano and wanna do a run or melody within 1-2 octaves?
Are the NanoKey Studio's knobs already pre-programmed wit iGadget ?

You could probably use the sampler in logic to put those sounds on different keys and play them while recording your mic audio.
What is your Audio Interface
NanoControl didn’t get a lot of love in this video. Would you recommend one? Have a KorgNanokey studio on the way, looking forward to playing with it

NanoKey is pretty nice, the button keys kinda suck though
Agreed. I have a love hate with the nanokey studio… it gets me upstairs from my regular studio setup🤷🏽♂️
Does it have a significant latency? Thnks
Nope! no perceptible latency in my testing, either wired or wireless over BT MIDI
@@DylanParisMusic nice! Keep making awesome music! Thanks..
Thank you! 🙏🙌😎
How much do all the in-app purchases add up to?
I bought them in chunks and only ever on sale. They’re all half off right now! Probably paid over 100 at this point but that’s nothing compared to PC VST prices
What would be a step up from the nanokey

@@DylanParisMusic oh so this one is a basic midi controller with no sounds built in, ok, so something that has usb and midi out will wirk
How did you connect the midi to the iPad?
I used the Zomoi USB C adapter and a USB Micro to USB A cable to connect the Nanokey to the iPad
Il y a moyen de faire rentrer une voix un micro ??
avec une interface audio et le gadget zurich

You can export all tracks as audio stems individually and then open those in any DAW to add more layers or effects on the tracks as well
@@DylanParisMusic awesome. Thanks mate!
name of the app?
There's no latency with the Nanokey?
I've never had latency with a wired connection, haven't tried BT cause I don't wanna burn through batteries.
@@DylanParisMusic Good to know, the latency was the biggest thing I was concerned about.
Sounds like a bad rip off of Gary Numans I dream of Wires
haha I'll have to check that out
Ultra Choice not meaning to dis you, listen to his tune and see if you hear it, maybe it’s just me?

Worst demo !

@@DylanParisMusic thanks, need more ideas and you covered tonnes
good job
Thanks Ben!
