Nobody in LA cares. In the same places you get a Tripas taco, you can also get Carne Asada fries. Mexicans have been in California for centuries, drawing a line between the cultures lessens the contributions that Mexicans have had on California culture.
I'm torn here. This recipe is fantastic, I'll probably give it a go, but half the fun is going into your 24-hour taco shop in SD and having this fresh and quick.
That outer layer of onion skin can just be folded back over the root end to act as a handle of sorts. In all the years I trained prep cooks with this method, no one ever cut themselves cutting onions.
Yeeeeesss!! I lived in Phoenix for a few years & that’s all I wanted when I was drunk (or stoned 🤣)!! That’s where I was first introduced to Carne Asada Fries. My boyfriend & I used to go to the 24-hr taco shops & get them at least 3 nights a week!!
you got that right.. I lived in north county SD for almost five years and going to Albero's for carne adada spoiled me.. I'm now in El Paso and when I ask for carne asada they just give this confused look. It's so weird because they don't make carne adada over here. You should watch the video: "4 Levels of French Fries".... I learned that dropping them on cold oil to start can leaves you with very crispy fries in the end.. but you have cook it longer.
I'm going to make these but I'll add a layer of hot fresh queso onto the fries before the meat and the toppings. I think all my stoner friends will appreciate that.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I’m just going to say if you want the best asada fries in Los Angeles period!!!! Tacos Las Carnales in South Central LA is the jointttt $7.50 and it’s so much fooddddd 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 trust go and see
That is the correct amount of garlic for 3 cloves of garlic. You should always at LEAST double the recipe's call for garlic. 1 clove really means 2, or 4... The only time you should do what the recipe says is for "A single roasted garlic clove" and honestly you're still better off doing 7 or 8...

I would put some spicy mexican salsa, like a chile de árbol salsa or something. Other than that I'm salivating.
Yes!!!
Farideh is a Persian name for "Delightful". Very apt.
