Also for the buggy problem: you could either make a jetpack or hovercraft (which fits more into the rover theme) to go around fast. But an small h2 jetpack is surprisingly fun, and could be useful to get to places. I've found that they could be a LOT more practical with the H2 rebalance.
For the O2/H2 thing: Since your not using ships any time soon and since there isnt much ice, it'd actually be better to just make an o2 tank then have a vent somewhere set to depressurize (maybe on the roof) Edit: 10:00 In KSP, we call this "spagetification"
If you want to mark a deposit without opening the inventory, open chat then /gps, and then the name of the signal and it'll add it to your GPS markers.
17:28 Using multiple rotors has a weird effect that I've seen AND experienced. It's funny as hell to watch but VERY costly as it destroys what you've created. It causes things to spin uncontrollably and completely random like the gods are NOT happy.. lol. I've found a setup that works and only requires one rotor and two hinges. Grind that hinge you have off and replace it with one going left and right, then place the one you just ground back on going up and down. Grind that rotor off and place it back down only facing aft. You will find this to be stable and capable of traversing a great deal of the terrain on that planet.. obviously it's not 100% as some of the ground is just beyond belief. :)
The thing with the Turbine not working is relatively simple, the Turbine needs to be on an Stable Grid wich means the Subgrid the Turbine is placed on has either to be a Station or is secured by an Locked Landing Gear. For example I builded an Mobile Base that has an Turbine Tower wich flips down with an Hinge and locks it with an Landing Gear to the Ground and instantly the Turbines create energy
So if you had a remote control rover with a connector on top, you could dock tool components like a drill that just has landing gear, or a grinder that just has landing gear, and use the lifter to store them perhaps to a vertical connector. You could have a drilling rig carrier, and would only need to build the base for the new drilling rig instead of spending all the time rebuilding it.
It might be easier to use small cargo containers than large. Remember, 9 small holds the same as 1 large, but they lay out flat in a line instead. Just replace light armor blocks with cargo, and you're all set. Also, you should keep in mind that silicone is an elastic polymer and isn't in Space Engineers. It shouldn't be confused with the chemical element silicon, which when pronounced does not rhyme with "cone." So silicone and silicon are as similar as a wheel and a well, and not interchangeable pronunciations.
The small hold slab sounds like a great thing to stash under the floor, could be less digging also. I know this is a late comment, but might help those that come along in the future.
Im half way through the vid but one thing u could add is a timer block and after all pistons extend u could do "Hinge Lock" or put 2 connectors in the middle end last block and when it extends it can connect and lock the mining rig, cause maybe cause of the weight it can fall back and snap ur drills or tubes when u are mining. PS: Aren't those wheels to close to each other? I would leave 1 more block in between them bc of the collisions. If a lose voxel gets lose in between them with no space the wheels can pop easier
How come piston/turbine doesn't work? I mean, I never tried it before, I had the idea by watching you struggle to climb your tower, but I've been playing SE for years! I mean, it made sense in my mind, but as you said - subgrids. I will test this when I have time, but sorry for the trouble!
Glad you turned off armageddon, but something tells me the damage has already been done: that surface is gonna be a nightmare to use a rover on until the end of this letsplay and it’s gonna be a huge pain to do anything about
Why? The suit pulls in O2 from outside and won't use the supply so their is no reason to keep it open, also dust storms take away the breathable oxygen so it would end up causing damage to him, keeping it closed would save having to keep an eye on that.

I always forget about that oxygen tank. I'll do it for the bigger base

Ok that's incredibly useful

This is such an awesome series and it relights the space engineers addiction in me :D

"The meteors are not making things harder" proceeds to complain about the craters making it harder
Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but the Lidar mapping script works wonders.

lol all good, it was a good test on.
Yeah it sucks how wind turbines need to be a station to work, but i guess it balances it out
@@PandemicPlayground ruclips.net/video/6rFXGCSPrsw/видео.html it works if use landing gears

@@PandemicPlayground we should try and find a paper bag mod. :-) It should be cheaper than a helmet.
Is mote control what does it always done it
Weird, I've never seen the stretched arms previously till that day, and I've used remote control a fair amount of times.
@@PandemicPlayground if it doesn't affect your driving, it could be better than a trail of breadcrumbs. Just follow your arm back to base.
