What an excellent video ... a superb tour of Britain's railways. An interesting insight to some old branch lines I have never seen before.

Interesting footage. Shame about the image quality, poor video transfer.

The technical quality of this transfer from the original 16mm film is appalling. I know that Cam's filming style was "brisk", to put it kindly, but this presentation does it no favours-and some of the spoken commentary is questionable.

Pity about the abusive language at 04:26. I am a Railway fan as good as any other I warrant, and especially so as regards locomotives, but who do these Railway film composers think they are to confuse the murder of millions of human beings because of their « race » with whatever wilful
decision as regards pieces of metal?
Pray, find other adjectives for Goodness’ Sake!

Yes, a very stupid use of words. I caught that immediately

The term 'holocaust' began to be used in only the 1970s as some thought it all needed branding to further the 'holocaust industry' we see so much in evidence into modern times.

The problem we have today is people will try and find something offensive, people are thin skinned today. I mean there are so many things that are more important than what people say. (remember the saying, "sticks and stones may hurt my bones but names will never hurt me), oh how I wish that applied today. The more important thing that is happening right under our noses is the rich are getting richer and the poorer are getting poorer. We have gone backwards as a nation as far as people are concerned, homelessness, food banks etc. We think technology is brilliant but think about it, when everything is automated with machines doing all the work, where will that leave us normal folk? We need to remember it's not what you say but what you do. There is only one rule that needs to be followed, "Do no harm unto anyone".

Using the word "holocaust" is not abusive, it is just a word. No word should monopolised by anyone to be applied exclusively to one event (as in this case).
