Holy crap finally. After searching through a bunch of creepypasta background music playlists, I finally found the one song I was looking for.
I know this rendition of this song is popularly used in creepypastas, and obviously from a horror game but it hits me right in the feels when I hear it. It really invokes a deep reflection of myself and who I am today. I don't know what it is about the melody, even as simple of a chord progression it follows, but it invokes feelings that make me reflect on my past, specifically choices and mistakes I've made. It really makes me ponder on all the what-ifs in my life, along with all else that could have been had I chosen different paths along the way.
I agree. Who knows what the outcomes could've been. One I could've started an early acting career. One I could've been dead by now. One I could be a parent now. One I could be married now. Who knows. But those are just a few. I agree with my friend Ebony though. She said live life to the fullest. That is what I try to do even though I suffer depression.

Silent hill 2 is truly a (Stand alone game), it's story on the surface is creepy, but then you learn that this is not a (Black/White) story. it's many different shades of grey. it's charters are based on real life struggles. This game tackles some dark material, Murder, death, child molestation, suicide etc. I recommend most folks to play it, it's not just a game, but a message on how you deal with life. Either rise above or be consumed by the monsters. DAM this game was symbolic. it just sucks most call of duty kids, nowadays will never play it.

This was my last true horror game , I broke my ps2 before I got a chance to play silent Hill 3 and I'm honestly fine with this being the last one.....for this was a letter of masterful creation.

It wouldn't be a bad choice, to each their own. To go back and start again can lead to many new outcomes that weren't as easily seen before, or in my case, I'd restart only to relive and fully immerse myself into the time I had with people met, as to make the choices I made more apparent and concrete.

A follower of yours even used your music as an accompaniment for the introduction of a video reading for one of my fanfictions. Silent Hill 2 is defiantly the more emotional one out the entire franchise.
I sort of hate seeing how often sh2 compared to the rest of the series. Imo the whole beauty of the original 4 installments is in how delicately each of them touch individual forms of personal emotional experiences. Yeah, everyone also might see them very differently through their own perspective due to that, but blatantly distinguishing a single one is just wrong

You might be confusing it with "Promise (Reprise)" which could be considered another piano version of the original "Promise" even though they both sound very different.

He’s playing it in a different key to the original. Think he’s playing +1 to the normal key.
Outstanding cover of this amazing cult classic, without loosing its original spirit. Not the easiest song to transpose on the piano I think, given the messy structure of the original, but I love the chords you came up with during the second part of the main solo. You really respected the tone and mood of the Silent Hill universe, kudos for that!

Silent Hill 2 is one of my favourite games ever. I wish one day I'll be able to direct a movie based on this beautiful story, because I've been thinking about it since I was 14 (now I'm 27) and I even tried to write a script for it. It would be awesome to use this version of "Promise" in the most important parts of the story, because it's so moving and intense. Congratulations for your great work on this cover 😃

I think about all the evil in this world and how it will never change. Why does anything even exist. Thoughts and questions that may never be answered.

And the other want to fight, find the beauty, the sense of life. It's like a path between giving up and fight. But the question is, what do you or do I prefer more?

Did you realize that the better and truest love stories come from the saddest and darkest places/events? THIS, Titanic, The Notebook, you name it. Thats because love its not about the happy events in life, but about making the sad events in life a little less sadder, helping your partner with that little tiny light between all the crap in the world, that light that never goes out, which is the greatest force on earth, called love...

I mean, I see your point and love is a truly powerful thing, but SH2 is not a love story, it a story about victims of abuse. The devs specifically have gone on record saying that Mary was extremely abusive to James.
SH1 and 3, though, are absolutely stories about love, especially 1. Not romantic love, but love all the same.

This is the song that led me to this amazing channel. I remember listening to Mrcreepypasta reading cupcakes at 2:00 am back when I was in 6th grade. I heard this song and instantly had the desire to find out where it was from. After finding this channel, I became more obsessed with the piano than ever before. Every time I heard a new song created by you, I did my best to play it on my old keyboard. As I look back I see all of the progress I have made since then and owe it to your beautiful works of art. I love all sad mournful music even though it reduces me to tears when I am trying hard not to get nostalgic or emotional. The film 91/2 weeks (yes, that erotic thriller lol) has sad piano music running through it which is why I can’t watch it again I’ll end up blubbering and not because of the film 😭😂

I'm17 now.. 1month from 18.. i remember listening to Mrcreepypasta with my best friend back when we were 11 or somthing just very young. and we recently lost contact because im a bad friend.. but those days were so great.. playing pokemon and sneaking around the house listening to these.. growing up sucks guys.. you cant ever have a justifyable reason to be a kid anymore.... but im now happy to teach my daughter that, and so she can be a kid and be happy:)
