New Video: How To PISS OFF A Star Wars Fan ruclips.net/video/B18whyoBAE4/видео.html
they just do it for the money and the merch but they killed my favorite franchise and that saddens me
something else I just realized is that people claim star wars is for kids and the sequel trilogy is all pg-13 but the dialogue is cringe but there are some brutal scenes. I'm confused though is it for kids or people who are 13 and older. This video is amazing, it is so true.
Vader:kills millions of people, Luke:let's help him he is still good
Kylo:has bad dream, Luke: KILL HIM NOW
Christopher Mondy couldn’t have said it better
Alex nigga stormtroopers aren’t innocent
Joshua Robertson They abducted as kids and brainwashed to think like that. They know nothing else besides taking orders or die because they don’t.
Speerical they portrayed Luke’s character soooo well in that campaign mission. Can’t even believe how much the new movies fucked up luke...
@Alex true
Your critique on how they made Finn into the “funny black character” is actually really valid and I’m surprised that no one else has talked about this
And they brag about being diverse and shit when they just play into their stereotypes. Diversity doesn't do shit unless you do something new instead of the stereotype
Michael Alvarez it’s this reason why I haven’t seen TROS. The Last Jedi was a joke. Rey could have a backstory as well as Snoke. But pissing on the most interesting new character... thanks Disney
Also with all of this "diversity," I never see that many different species of aliens. RA CIST
They made him into a Minstrel character.
They tired to kill him in number 7. I do not care for any of the actors really...cept Han...and Chewbacca. #7 was way better than 8 and 9. I have a hard time watching #8 and #9.....
I'm sad for Mark Hamill😥 he wholly disagreed with TLJ, yet he still gave 300%
Like Alec Guinness in a very similar role
You know it's bad when even Luke is saying " WTF is happening to me ".
Carrie Fisher too, whose last movie was that pile of garbage
Mark Hammil shows how amazing he is as an actor by not vomiting every time he had to repeat a piece of Rian Johnson's scrip out loud. I think as you said, that Rian was actually a detriment to the minorities and diversity of the film.
@Knusper Katze did u leave out the part of the interview when he said he was wrong? Oh wait he was "paid" to say that. What about his disagreements with Geroge on the OT? selective complaining
You sir have made me love the Prequel and Original trilogies even more and made me hate the Sequel trilogy even more. This vid is great.
Ant Borb agreed
Ant Borb lmao your pfp
You look like bootleg Madvillain
Well spoken sir
Describe the sequel trilogy in one word: trash
This just shows how much Disney has fucked up and strayed from walt's path of making movies that everyone will enjoy
#9: Luke, Han, and Leia never get a reunion and never will.
Biggest missed opportunity of modern cinema
#10 they killed all the skywalkers.
#11 they did not show the war between the new republic and the first order.

Ok so I actually did fart at that exact moment and it was just a coincidence and it really took my by storm to say the least.
Chris Montgomery would have been way too fan servicey
Hell the robot chicken sketches are more canon than the new movies
Vader: I have altered the deal, Pray I don't alter it any further.
Lando: This deal is getting worse all the time
Vader: These are clown shoes, you will wear them and refer to yourself as Mary!
Gary the Stormtrooper should definitely be made canon. Also the Robot Chicken Boba.
They really are - Lucas included them as special features on the Full Saga Blu Ray pack...
Hell, even the Family Guy parodies are more consistent
@@scottski02 that weird "ya mamma" skit at the start of TLJ made me feel like I was watching a Family Guy Star Wars episode.
“Why these old ladies are giggling on my screen” lmao
The only movie from Disney who i think belongs in the canon is Rogue one
Rogue One, great one! Even the female lead was much better than Rey.
That and Solo too.
manav bhalla Solo is tough for me because his EU origin is still superior
Parker Maki Yeah, but that’s far from canon anymore so...
Anyway, I basically just hate the Sequels. They should leave this era alone now except Mandalorian and continue with Old Republic or something
manav bhalla that’s why I love Dave Filoni. He is able to change things but still make them satisfying to people like me that love Legends
All I can say is, Thank you. Thank you showing all my rage of Disney Star Wars in one video
was about to comment the same thing, but you've captioned everything I wanted to say
And how about that Mary Sue...training meh..who needs that when you have Disney Magic!!😞
He’s going to need to update this real soon
Bryan it is not Disney magic it is the power of having a vagina.
What Disney did is they wasted every other character’s arc so Rey could be the only real character, but then they failed with Rey’s arc so it all turned into crap
The irony of making an entire trilogy around a "good and strong female character" and having Kylo Ren, the pissy straight white male, being the only good one LMAO
@@anonymousproductionsxd2912 correct
@@DeadKraken i mean rey is the weakest female jedi, The only fucking female jedi that has a good arc and personality is ahsoka tano
@@lukeluke286 Ahsoka Tano is way better than Rey
@Keith Marshall lol yeh. Sruff she does should take decades of training, youre not just able to use a lightsabre because you have the force thats stupid she could hold back ship like its nothing eventhough its hard for yoda to lift s tiny x wing eventhoug he has had century's of expiernce at least they had ahsoka be able to do that because she actually trained in the force and stuff. But even with al that power rey has leia and ahsoka could beat her with theyre eyes closed no doubt in my mind.
Putting Leia in a coma just so you can make room to bring in Holdo might be the dumbest decision of this movie
Maybe Carrie refused to dye her hair purple and they needed that for the outrage mob to show they ticked EVERY minority box
Could you have imagined what things would've been like if Poe mutinied against Leia instead? *That* would've ticked off more check boxes and been a lot more compelling, which giving some needed character screen time.
Why couldn't they have let her die along with Carrie Fisher? They decide to have her stick around and die in Rise of Skywalker and make the extra effort of working unused footage of her into the movie.
@@GeneralG1810 But within the new main cast, only Rey is female. Unless you count Rose Tico who was only significant to The Last Jedi. But within the trio of Finn, Poe and Rey, Rey is the girl in the trio. If they wanted that feminism message, how many girls should be in the main cast compared to boys? Even with Rey as the main protagonist, would a radical feminist direction allow for Finn and Poe's best moments?
@@SeanWheeler100 But look at her, she's an over powered over qualified women who can do anything, and every man around her is an incompetent moron. The problem isn't female presence in the SW franchise, the problem is POORLY WRITTEN females in the SW franchise.
Besides you're forgetting Captain Phasma and Maz Kanata, more strong women surrounded by incompetent men
Are you seeing a pattern here?
"why are these two ladies giggling on my screen while Luke is hiding in a cave" that's a pretty accurate description
When they did that i litaraly deayed a little inside
Chewie: "Urgrgrgrgrgr!"
Han: "I know"
that line really hit home
What I wanted from Han and chewie goodbye would be chewie holding han before he goes to Kylo and Han saying “I need to do this” and yknow
@@TheCatIsAMonster Well as beautiful as such a scene would have been, I can understand, why they didn't do it. JJ tried (as far as I understand this) to make Han's death as suprising as it could be. And I have to admit: It worked on me. Every little goodbye would have spoilered this moment.

Would you try not calling a person an idiot for bringing a valid point to the table. At the end of the day we are all dissapointed at the sequels but we are also in this togehter. So try not to trashtalk a fellow starwars fan.
How did Rey inherit Han’s ship if anything it would go to Chewbacca his best friend or by law his son not some stranger.
Well she kinda just took it.
Because who needs believable characters when you have strong independently labeled women of which is shoved down our throats.
Udhav Veer Singh Bhatia Imagine how awesome a first order or Chewbacca Millennium Falcon would’ve looked like
Did you have this complaint with Leia or Mon Mothma? 🤨😐😑
It's another example of how the OT characters were destroyed in Dipsney Star Wars. The Millennium Falcon, Which played a pivotal role in destroying not one, but two death stars, was one of the most iconic ships in the lore of Star Wars. NOPE...it's just a broken down abandoned piece of junk on some forgotten backwater planet. Nothing to see here....

This deserves more likes.
Hello there.
He's nerd god!!!

Luke Skywalker is Star Wars Jesus
*Laughs in hello there*
Laughs on the high ground
This is cute, but I think it is not necessarily Jesus that Luke emulates but a montage of David and Jonathan in the Bible. David was the builder of a new nation from the broken pieces of an old republic, and this is what Luke was. David and Jonathan were inseparable friends, but what George Lucas did was (ingeniously) to merge the two people into one, so that Luke is the son of an evil king, but Lucas' genius twist was that Luke Skywalker was that prince and didn't know it. Study the books of 1 and 2 Samuel and you'll see what I'm talking about. (Also study Samuel as a prototype of Obi Wan) George Lucas knew how to capture the ethos from the Bible and market it, but Rian Johnson doesn't - I think saw this in somebody's notes or something and was chosen by Kathleen Kennedy who had her own agenda. In the early part of David's life, he slayed Goliath, but he refused to kill king Saul because he felt like there may still be good in him. However, at the end of his life, David couldn't do with his son Absalom what he did with Saul. He still didn't want to kill him, but instead he left the army all together and ran. He got involved in an affair to distract himself from what he really should have been doing in battle. Basically, if you see Luke Skywalker as a modern upgrade of the David story, then what they did with Luke was perfectly in line with David's disappointing story arc. The point of the original story was that David could not be 'space Jesus' in real life, no one can! But for Star Wars...meh...whatever.
If George Lucas was using this example as I hypothesize, then I think he would have had Luke have some of the same weakness when facing Kylo (as David did with Absalom) but I think he would have finished the nine movies by keeping Luke Skywalker as the point of the whole series (hello...title?), instead of having someone basically finish his story for him. "Rey" is the "Solomon" in this comparison, and I don't like that, because she never really earned it. If they insisted on doing what they did, they should have picked up what Rian (bless his heart) started at the end of TLJ by making 'every man, woman, kid, etc' call themselves a Skywalker, but instead kept the ol' spotlight on Mary Sue, like she's the Jesus now. Hmm.
General kenobi!?!?!!??!!?
Hayden Sewall You're bat shit insane
And Obiwan is Padre Pio

Mark hamill himself is more like Luke than Rian Johnson’s version.
Disney in The Force Awakens: That's not how the force works!
Disney in The Last Jedi: Princess Poppins.

PURPLEY PRESENT “IT WAS ME DIO!!”
IT'S ME AUSTIN!
*KONO PALPATINE DA!*
That's the thing, these movies have forgotten they are viewed as culture. So the laziness is just bad.
Star Wars is literally an escape from reality for people .
“Never meet your heroes” doesn’t work.
"Never meet your heroes" doesn't work in the escape realm, nor in the fantasy realm.
Thus they told us something that is absolutely BS.
I think "never meet our heroes" still could've worked and been really deep and meaningful. If they had shown Luke to still be a flawed person, despite his herioc qualities or turned him into a tragic figure, who is dissapointed and betrayed by his surroundings, yet never lets go of his beliefs. This version of his progression might have made a good addition to his earlier developement.
Istead Disney tried accomplishing this by stripping him of all heroic qualities and ripping the very soul from his character. : (
General Mantis
I totally agree
Now when you think about it , “never meet your heroes” could’ve been a good concept in a Star Wars film
But in TLJ they made Luke do the very thing he would NEVER.EVER do
Which is giving up on Kylo only for having dark thoughts and then he nearly murders him
While Vader was the most evil man alive yet Luke redeemed him .
Here , “never meet your heroes “ doesn’t work because we already know everything about this hero and the person we met in TLJ was NO.WAY Luke Skywalker
Alejandro Feo Cecin
Exactly
They can take the story any direction they want as long as the characters stay true to themselves.
General Mantis if he started out as a heroic figure, there wouldn’t be anywhere for his character to go from there. He started the movie as a broken man living with an unimaginable amount of guilt, unable to show his face to those he let down. He closed himself off from everyone. But by the end of the film, he came back as the hero the galaxy knew him as, and “saved what he loved” rather than “fighting what he hates”
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STAR WARS CRITIC VIDEO SAYING HOW DISNEY RUINED IT. ITS JUST PURE FACTS. THIS VIDEO IS THE REASON I SUBSCRIBED.

Finn is a great tragedy. So much potential wasted because Rian wanted to tell a "Rich people bad" story
Right Finn should be a soldier with ptsd, raised from infancy to be a soldier. Think of the potential. He could have even liberated his fellow stormtroopers. But no rhyme just used him as the funny black guy. So much for progressive diversity
I loved finn so much and they destroyed any faith I have in all disney when they destroyed him.
@Billy Hill yeah he thought just sprinkling in more women and colored people would make his movie diversive, when that wasnt needed, what was needed was well written characters. star wars has always been diversive, especially with aliens.
You forgot to mention the big reveal of that story line. "People make weapons"
@@TheInternetsJanitor you know in the world of star wars I always imagined people made "weapons" but it wasn't until last jedi that I realized how terrible it was. ( sarcasm)
Rian: Like this movie or else
The Internet's Janitor: I'll never turn to the dark side
I’m grateful for true fans like this
I am a jedi like George Lucas before me...
I mean nothing interesting happened to Rey in the Sequels, Luke lost his hand and learned that Darth Vader was his Father and Leia is his Sister. Anakin lost his mother, lost his hand, he went through war and did everything to save his wife at the cost of everything he loved. Rey just learned she was a Palpatine and murdered him an hour later.
It’s sad
But sequels fans will claim up and down that Rey is a fleshed out and deep character on par with the actual skywalkers 😂😂😂 it’s pretty pathetic really
Anikan lost his human arm and both of his legs and got burn to death he still had his robot arm.
Rey was never challenged or overwhelmed or got beaten like Luke or Anakin or suffered a severe personal defeat It just seemed like everything just worked out for her ! She was too perfect and that is so boring . The scripts from scene to scene and then movie to movie Have no consistency as if they forgot what they did in the first movie the second movie the characters are totally the opposite , like their dispositions I wonder if the last Jedi is a pun for “ we the writers “ hate the Jedi so we will Destroy Luke as a character because he is/was the last Jedi!
Anakin has a padawan Ahsoka that became hated by many but through out THE CLONES WARS she became the most popular female character in STAR WARS franchise and has the best character development ever then Rey.
Officer Spider, honestly, that’s 100% true. I personally really like Rey just ‘cause she for me brings a lot of enjoyment on screen but she is not well-written at all.
I think what we all need is a force unleashed movie.
100% agree. I want to see someone slam a star destroyer into a planet on the big screen
Or Thrawn trilogy
Thats not canon, but it would make a pretty good movie. Theyd just have to state that it wasnt canon.
Absolutely no question about it
I want an old republic trilogy
Luke: says 'laser sword'
me: literally crying in the theater
my dad: it's O.K.
I'm from Germany and EVEN IN THE GERMAN VERSION HE SAID:"Laser-schwert"

Lord of the Rings 4 with alcoholic Aragorn, and Sauron back with the ring and his army, is actually a really fair comparison to how they handled the Star Wars sequels. It's about the silliest, laziest way they could've gone about making a sequel.
Dont forget, fat goblins take over all of gondor, including minas tirith
You just got that *so* right Sammy... Don't forget how frodo's son is apparently gandalf now
The biggest problem is that the sequel trilogy basically retreads most of the same ground as the original trilogy. Sequels are supposed to go forward not backward.

From The Last Jedi
Jakku is just the same planet as Tatoine, but less cool...

Best and only moment ever in the film.
They wanted to be marvel so bad. But that just isn't star wars. Star wars always took itself very seriously and all of a sudden we have a worse version of the MCU? No Thanks disney
1LBoosted the other movies had a lot of goofy humor; don’t act like it’s exclusive to the Disney movies
i will NEVER accept disney star wars as canon.
the skywalker saga was over with return of the jedi.

Cept Luke. And chewy, lando was cool.
For the record, if you are old, doesn't mean ya give up lol, and that Kathleen Kennedy should respect the older men that came before her that made this franchise what it was. Not the political agendas, captain marvel blew my mind a bit, at least the female characters were not weak and passive.
Jm 115 also Rose gets completely friend-zoned after all of that
I redeemed his father but wouldn’t try to save his nephew..WTF
If he had that vision, he'd just give the kid more hugs. We are talking premonitions of what the kid was going to become without intervention right? So if you're worried your nephew is having problems do you murder him in his sleep? Regular people wouldn't do this let alone the greatest hero of the light side. Makes you wonder wtf is actually wrong within the slimy void of Rian's jack o'lantern head
John Favreau and Dave Filoni should just be in charge of everything Star Wars from now on
We should start an official pettion
Well luckily they pretty much are. Cathleen’s contract apparently only allowed her to work on one Star Wars project at a time. But when Disney realizes that Dave and John bring in the BIG bucks they’ll swap over
This comment has aged like fine wine.
They say “the last Jedi is a KIDS MOVIE”
Literally halfway through the film Luke tried to kill a kid in his sleep.
Good , let them know , that parents don't have to put up with their s#it.
Yeah kids can handle deaths on tv. America doesn't believe kids can watch someone in a movie die. That's just dumb
The coments here r true but not bc he has a godamn bad dream they r just tryng to hide the fact that they r just shit writers that dont know crap about star wars behind them veing able to let kids watch this movie alone like tf
It also has suicide in it.

The perfect ending for Chewie and Han would be this: "Han sees Kylo in the bridge while setting the bomb in TFA. Han says "goodbye Chewie, see you in the Falcon." Than Chewie says: "wooooooohhoooo". And Han says: "I know". And then It ends just as we know. What do you guys think?

That seems perfect
@John brenot yeah, you're pretty much right
Chewie said "I love you" awwww
@@Doctor_Straing_Strange I think so
When Han died they gave almost no attention to Chewi mourning for him at all it. But when Leia died suddenly chewi gets a huge grief stricken scene? They treated hans death as if chewi really didn't care and got over it instantly.
Daniel Sturby Han has “toxic masculinity” because he’s a cocky man...remember who runs this franchise now?
except they did and chewie even shot kylo.
It’s because Disney made it and Han is a male and they don’t respect him
I actually walked out of last Jedi when Leia did the Marry Poppins
When the movie was over, my dad turned to me and asked: "what just happened" and the only answer I had was: "I don't know".
It was seriously so bad that it broke my brain trying to process it in the theater.
I went to see it with my wife and at the end she asked me what I thought of it. I honestly didn't know what to say. It wasn't a Star Wars movie. No idea what it actually was, but it wasn't Star Wars. Not by a long chalk.
Ikr. I wait 43 years... a lifetime literally, just to have them wipe their rear-end and throw in the trash all my favorite life long daydreams. Yep it was just a story, it was just a movie... idiot. To say it is just a movie, to reduce all the ill feelings Star Wars fans to "It is just a movie" kind of highlights your ignorance. I was in the military when episode 3 came out. The entire Pacific Fleet got 1/2 a day off of work to go and see it. This story began when I was 5 years old and has been in my life literally dam near always AND I had to wait 3 years between each chapter (roughly). It was marketed brilliantly. The entire planet is aware of Star Wars. (Laughing to myself at you.) It is just a movie.
Chazz Dimitriadis I’m assuming you’re replying to me, but I really don’t see what you’re on about. I didn’t like the film - but I’m wondering if you understood that. To clarify: to me it wasn’t Star Wars. It shat on everything Star Wars was. Rain Johnson didn’t understand the mythology, he didn’t get the relationship between the characters. The Force Awakens wasn’t a great addition to the canon, but at least Abrams got it and in one fell swoop Johnson destroyed everything that Abrams had set up for the sequels. Last Jedi is a well made film, but it doesn’t belong in the Star Wars universe.
Chazz Dimitriadis Oh and I didn’t say “it was just a movie” - idiot.
YES, I love this guy and I'm glad he fell on this side of the fence. The Rise of Skywalker comes out next week but there's no denying the Disney Star Wars was one of the biggest missed opportunities in cinema history
@Deescrypto...Shit your right. Could you imagine telling yourself, Han Luke and Leia never get a reunion in Episode 7. You would never believe it.
Hell yea man shit trips me out that Disney killed it with marvel but they can’t get Star Wars right
Logan with lightsabers that's the problem. Marvel is too successful. Disney is trying to make Star Wars exactly like Marvel, but themed in the future pretty much.
Chris Montgomery I'm seeing the new movie in theaters... God, I hated a bad feeling about this.
Chris Montgomery the movie is a fucking joke and failure.
Your point about Finn becoming the Joke of the movies is spot on and all the movies had that pointless humor added. Han had charm and that brought comedy. Leah was clever and that brought comedy. Luke had innocence and that brought moments of humor. The new writers were unable to create any of that in my opinion.
Luke is NERD Jesus
that's why roundhead hates him
You’ve gotta a point I mean any real fan of Star Wars would have treasured Luke but rj just wanted to make him sad and depressing just like himself

I hate these people, they are parasites and they have broken and ruined almost every franchise and fictional work I care about.
I loved this line
I saw the last Jedi twice in theaters and nobody laughed when he threw the light saber. I actually heard people discussing why he did that, a few people thought maybe he turned to the Darkside
I'm pretty sure the reason he threw it away was because he didn't believe in the ideology of the Jedi anymore and the sight of the Lightsaber brings up memories that he would rather forget.
James Swift those were my exact thoughts the first time I saw it
@@jtszabo1691 I hate people talking about Last Jedi and Luke Skywalker in that movie as shit. They aren't, they are just as much as Star Wars as the fucking Ewok Adventures.

John Alred someone doesn’t get character development
One of my friends just stood up when Luke throwed away his father's lightsaber and left the cinema in the first 10 minutes of the movie!
Toarexer :D my brother walked out of the first movie 1/2 through with his gf.

I kind of did the same thing when I watched Luke toss his father’s saber. I changed to something else on Netflix (TLJ was so bad it went to Netflix immediately lol). Took me a few weeks to try watching the rest.
I love Mark Hamill and how he’s on our side with Disney Star Wars being trash.

Some RUclipsrs have pointed out that once JJ Abrams said Luke was in hiding it was very hard to come up with an explanation of why he had cut himself off from his friends and family and the resistance *and* the force that wouldn't make him look like a coward or and asshole. So Rian Johnson's hands were somewhat tied, as JJ Abrams with his mystery Box theory didn't invent a way to deal with the problem he set up.

Disney: wait a minute Star Wars Fans like Luke Leia and Han?
But....But..... They're white and lack diversity, it's almost as if people care more about good characters and storylines than woke PC agenda's
Speaking of, if they wanted diversity and the old cast, why the hell wasn't Lando in this except in the last movie? Hell, I'd have brought him in the first movie. He could just be the looking for Han's ship instead of Han abandoning his wife and stuff in order to regress as a character.
Then, Han could meet up with them and die as Ford wanted. It'd have been much better.
Or, they could've brought Lando in for Last Jedi. He could've been in that cell with them complaining about how he was on a good streak, then got cheated. How much fun would it have been when there was a betrayal reveal for Lando to be there and it *not* have been him doing it?
@@InfernosReaper they could of went with the Starwars Legends arc and presented Grand Admiral Thrawn the blue skinned Chiss and his personal assassin Rouhk the Noghri as the new cold, calculating, genius, relaitable antagonists. If they just let JJ Abrams direct the Last Jedi...... Sure, it still wouldn't be great, But when you give the most PIVOTAL movie of a trilogy (the second) to some No name fucking director, it's NEVER going to work out well. Abrams is Famous for having his Fuck you Mysteries in his narratives, But when Ryan Johnson just swiped them all down, Abrams has to try and spend the LAST movie reversing Ryan's fuck ups.
If he directed the whole trilogy, maybe it wouldn't be as bad of a garbage heap as it is now...... Because tbh, I kinda liked the force Awakens. I thought it was gonna be good, after all, The first movie in a trilogy is NEVER the strongest one, so you could only go up from there....... Until they didn't -_-
For real. If you hold your hand over the left half of the poster for The Force Awakens and just look at the right half, doesn't that look like such a good movie? Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, and a new Jedi: a hero risen from the ranks of the Empire. He would have been a cool allusion to Anakin, who fell from the ranks of the Jedi to join the Dark Side. The Force Awakens was decent, bu the next two ruined everything.
The most frustrating thing about his character development was how short it was. After 10 mins he had fully developed and was just kinda static. Not to mention JJ handed Rian a perfectly good character in Finn which Rian subsequently throws away like everything else he was handed. Basically JJ can make a good movie, but he can’t make an original plot. Rian Johnson took a crap on the entirety of Star Wars cus he doesn’t give a fuck about the franchise or working with what he’s been given. All he did was do what Kathy Kennedy screwed into his head. And then TROS was dumb because not only did JJ have to completely fix everything Rian Johnson fucked up, he continues to have no creativity hence bringing back Palpatine, but again he’s known for not being able to end a fucking story, so he was also a poor choice for Ep. 9. It’s all just so tragic.

Finn's character imo was really good in the force awakens and then they just shat all over my hopes for his arc in the last two movies. He fled in fear of the first order where blind obedience was indoctrinated into every soldier from birth. The more time goes by, the more this is upsetting to me to fully realize how bad Rian Johnson screwed up the trilogy. Carrie Fisher is dead, and the others are getting up there in years. There is no redoing or fixing this.
No, it was messed up from the moment they made JJ Abrams the director of the first one. Nothing of his has any substance. I remember that I watched like 4 seasons of Lost but I can't remember a thing about it because it was just like everything else Abrams has done - visually spectacular but insubstantial. His direction is the cinematic equivalent of fast food (Michael Bay being the cinematic equivalent of junk food).
Rian Johnson was too inexperienced to pull off what he wanted to accomplish. And he had nobody pull him into line and tell him that what he was doing was wrong. The lesson that the prequels should have taught them was lost - it doesn't matter how accomplished the director is, he needs a reality check with a project of this scale.
Then JJ was back for some more fast food.

Spoilers for Rise of Skywalker
They just copy/pasted this ending, but removed the duel, Luke and Leia's part, and shoe-horned Rey in!!!
Marcus Stevens imagine my shock after making this video and then seeing that part. I was laughing.
What's even more insulting is the fact that they kicked the real Skywalker out of the end fight, had Rey do it all by herself because she's "all the Jedi" (even though that's not actually a thing), and apparently more powerful as a Palpatine, then killed the only remaining Skywalker (because he used his "life Force" to rez Rey, and while Force healing is a thing, the Force is all around them and wielded by them, not an internal battery that kills you when it's all used up... and they killed off Luke in the same way ridiculous way).
I really wanted to forgive this trilogy with this movie, and I just couldn't do it. I could deal with the fan stroking cringe and poor storylines because at least it wasn't constantly flipping us all off, if only they'd honored the Skywalkers by the end. Ben was the most interesting character (thanks to Adam Driver's performance). Even with shoddy dialogue and scenes, he was able to hold my interest. I cared about what happened to him, because he represented the future of Han, Luke, and Leia. Then, they made him an unnecessary prop, threw him away, then let Rey steal his legacy.
I am horrified. I will be horrified forever that this is canon.
Stephanie Mitchell Bens redemption story is the only thing I really cared about and would have made a better trilogy if it focused on him.
I mean, afterall there was absolutely NO material they could use. It's all original! Rey did it first! Don't look at the stuff behind the curtain!
And the fact that it is no longer a Skywalker defeating Palpatine for the final time stings, because at least when Luke and Leia took him down they were together as the children of Anakin, making Anakin's sacrifice at least not completely in vain.

I personally think that both 7 and 9 aren’t terrible, not good but not absolute vomit fuel. They both had good moments, and I can’t say the same for 8, Disney didn’t give Ryan a second chance to fuck up one of their biggest series so 9 is actually better than 8. We see actual character development, all characters actually having a purpose, our boi Finn isn’t being used for slapstick comedy and C3-P0 for the first time in a movie actually does something so that’s cool.

@@Jrocker105MC I agree with you. I would say that 7 is the best though, because it played its role almost perfectly; introduce back into SW (those who left or forgot about it) and give us intriguing characters, getting us hyped for the next film. Then TLJ happened. I think the main problem was the lasting effects on the next movie. It ruined the previous movie's cliffhangers and interesting questions and then gave us nothing in return, killing the main threat in the process. Without Snoke, JJ was forced to use Palpatine because Kylo is no longer a villain that could make a meaningful threat for a trilogy finale.

Dues Caymania I got the same feeling. Some of my friends tried to defend the movie but ended up agreeing with me after a 20 minute nerd talk about it. I didn’t even bring up the fact that it was skewed towards male sexism until the end of the conversation. They agreed that the new characters story archs’ were one dimensional, but somehow refuse to see social engineering in our entertainment. I think they are in denial. I don’t want to pay $ to have my intelligence insulted by a bunch of woke Hollywood people. The whole thing makes me feel like politics and Hollywood believe the common person must be saved via art and literature. I want a movie not a public service announcement and refused to see the last two movies at the theater.
Dues Caymania unfortunately it seems like we can’t get our entertainment without politics anymore. Knives out was pretty good. It even made some jokes towards silly social issues millennials are obsessed with without hyper focusing on the issues. So maybe there is hope for entertainment if we can find and support creators that aren’t afraid to make content without bowing down to social politic gods.
Also, felt like men aren’t just pigs in the new Star Wars but incompetent.
Daniel Brown I agree completely. I hate to say this but because of all the “wokeness” in Hollywood entertainment has gone way downhill. Diversity is good if the movie/show doesn’t need to suffer but unfortunately it seems white people (more often then not straight males) are seen as monsters if they dominate the screen for too long. I also don’t like to admit that now every time I don’t like a character or a scene my mind immediately goes to something like “stupid feminism” or along those lines because of all the crap in Hollywood but then again I’m prolly just a white supremacist🤣

Rian Johnson's destruction of Luke was intentional and with malice.
I agree. Why do you think that was? Something personal for Johnson? Or someone else put him him to it? He literally says kill the past. Like.. what drives someone to do that and have that malice?
@@Joshua.Wagner i think it was a combo of his and Kathleen Kennedys politics. Destroy the classic hero because muh patriarchy. That's the intentional part. The malice is attributed to the fact I don't believe Rian Johnsen is a fan of Star Wars. He wanted to destroy a folk hero simply because he could.
He did what not even the dark side could do 😂
They were trying to kill star wars. That's why they got rid of the episode numbers. That's why J.J. Abrams had Rey say she was a Skywalker. It was a fuck you to George Lucas. The question is why? What was he trying to show us in the prequels that set people off against him?
You know what I find amazing. I love Breaking Bad, all except for one episode. The fly episode. I got done watching that and was pissed. It furthered no plot, character arc, story, etc. It was nonsensical filler and I fucking HATED it. I had no idea at the time that the guy who directed the single episode of a FLAWLESS show, was Rian Johnson!
When i found out what the premise was of Looper; that mafia from the future use time travel as a way to pull off hits, I thought it was about the dumbest fucking criminal use of time travel one could think of. First, if your organized crime is proper, you are not dropping bodies. Period. Not to mention, far cheaper than time travel, is the methods used for centuries: Concrete shoes, acid, buried in a foundation, etc. Found out later this piece of trash was: Rian Johnson!
I have thought this guy a complete hack for a number of years without even knowing his name. Then The Last Jedi, and I found out the name of this this terrible writer and director: Rian Johnson!
So I don't know if it was intentional. What I do know and can say for sure, is that he isn't even mediocre talent. He isn't creative enough to create gas after a bean dinner. He licked Kathleen's boots well enough to fuck up a multi billion dollar franchise for good. I can't attribute malice to what can be explained by stupidity, and Rian, is pretty fucking stupid.

Rogue One was actually good but the reasons are simple. The acting was top notch all around. The leading lady is not perfect and is no better than the other rebels. Her and everyone else's motives make sense. In the end everyone dies which is great and that almost didn't happened because Kathleen Kennedy kept saying no until the last minute. Kathleen Kennedy wanted the leading lady and leading Man to actually live which would not make since for a gritty Star Wars movie that finally made me truly care about how tough it must be to fight for the rebellion. Not to mention that after all that they show Vader at the end and you realize how extreme it is going up against the Empire when they not only have the numbers, the fire power and then you may have to deal with this guy which is nuts. Lastly, it did not try to alter a super simple story which focused on the rebels who narrowly got the Death Star plans.

For Luke
Luke: "Ah, you must mean my cousin, Jake Skywalker. Leia and I try not to talk about him for obvious reasons...in fact I'm still wondering how we're even RELATED to that guy."
The strangest part for me is that George Lucas put Kennedy in charge, not Disney. And it's Kennedy who clearly has no love, no real interest, understanding, or respect for Star Wars
That's because Lucas stopped loving SW at some point. If he still had loved his creation, he should have kept it and should have hired the staff to continue making the movies.

But that someone is trusted because they execute without meddling with the vision because they have very little vision themselves.
They have no talent, point. They are rich but not from work. They steal ideas around and try to 'copy' that. And the result is not from inspiration but from plot holes; it's bad.
