We retired and moved here three years ago from Ohio. We live in West Bradenton and so far, we are loving it! It’s wonderful to have so many doctors and specialists, restaurants, shopping and of course the beaches on the island so close to us! Our neighborhood is absolutely stunning! There is a wonderful sense of community and we love that! We are 5-6 miles from the beach and go there early in the morning about 3-4 times a week with a few of our neighbors. It truly is like living in paradise!🌴☀️🌴☀️

I wouldn't put too much stock in this video because it's obvious that some of not half or more on the list are pretty unfair in my opinion and as a resident of Bradenton. The reality is that there are pockets of "bad" but a majority is good.
Moving here from Atlanta Metro 2 years ago, I know what a bad neighborhood is and looks like. Bradenton is very safe and nice in comparison. I believe Bradenton is up and coming with a lot of money being invested.
It's an older town, close to the best beaches in the world. I believe that buying in Bradenton will pay significant dividends in years to come.

I feel comfortable walking/running around the neighborhood. Trash and upkeep is pretty poor so that makes it look a lot worse than it is. Cool seeing streets I am on everyday on this video.
I think Bradenton's problem is that we are too close to a major city in Tampa, and a wealthy city in Sarasota. Bradenton is kind of the in-between. Why would a developer come here when they could go to Sarasota or Tampa? Just my thoughts

I believe that this video is not really a true representation of Bradenton. I moved here from Atlanta Metro 2 years ago and bought a house. Although you have listed a few hot spots but calling an entire area "bad" is not an honest report. Considering the contrast between "Lakewood ranch" and the urban areas of Bradenton is an apples and orange comparison. The reality is that every neighborhood has a pocket of "bad" and "not so nice" streets or so. Ive explored all of Bradenton and found that in comparison to a "real" urban and suburbs of a large city like metro Atlanta, Bradenton is by far a great place to live and work. One thing that I agree with is the homeless population needs to be controlled better. Although, its an error to say or think that "all" homeless people are dope addicts. I considered buying at Lakewood ranch at first but saw that I wouldn't fit in with the mentality of a "new" overpriced and overhyped cookie cutter houses that are 5' from each other in a planned community with outrageous HOA rules and fees that gives people a sense of being "better" than another part of town. To each their own i say but i like to be free to decide what I want to do with my house and property. Since moving here, I've noticed that most people who live in Lakewood ranch talk about Lakewood ranch like its the greatest place in the world and come across as very snobby about their decision to buy there. it's kinda funny but mostly irritating because I've been out there, toured the neighborhoods for days driving around to see what all the fuss is about. Only to find that the real thing thats going on at Lakewood ranch is the builders are hooking people with a fantastic sales and marketing strategy. The so called on the water properties are just houses next to mosquitoe hives that are dug out for water run off. 15' deep front yards and 10' deep backyards is common. The $500k house starting point options are laughable in a number of ways including the layouts and materials used. These houses are at best a $200k real value. Being in the construction industry for 30 years, i know what im talking about here. So people are paying more than double the real price for a few shiny new amenities and overpaying for upkeep with HOA fees. All the wrong boxes just keep getting checked to make Lakewood ranch a good decision when going outside Lakewood ranch and applying the same $500k, you can find anything from a home with 10 acres to a nice bungalow within a few minutes to the beaches.
I just wanted to balance out your video report and not meant to disparage you in any way.
I think that Lakewood ranch residents are living in a bubble that in years to come, will likely pop. Lets eat lunch together sometime, i know some good spots

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS hahaha hahaha, we have or had standards in ole Hotlanta metro but they went down to the level of unacceptable. That's why I'm here. I think that your idea of "bad areas" are indeed bad, but nowhere near as "bad" as you might believe or portrayed in the video that I can tell just by reading the comments, have impacted other people who might be thinking about moving here. Seeing that some changed their mind and your video directly caused a potentially great new Bradenton resident, that would improve the area, has been lost due to your "standards" which is obviously a broad brush stroke that is more on the misinformation side than informative information. The result is that your misinformation is causing good people to go elsewhere. That's a big L 👎 for Bradenton.
I'm not mad but simply talking about the discrepancies and misinformation in your video and shining a light on how your "standards" are not my standards or experiences, nor are they representing anyone else who is a resident of this city. Stay safe

Rubonia is not Bradenton. It is north Manatee. It is north of Manatee River. Palmetto has a nice area about the size of a postage stamp. Oneco is East of 1st Street. Pride park included.
Northwest corner of Bradenton and Anna Maria is it. The rest is hell. 9th St West is hell. All the way from Cortez road to Manatee River. Samoset used to be quaint. Used to be. Tropicana Juice Plant is nearby. Downtown Bradenton? What downtown? Main Street? Bayshore is middleclass. Lower middle class. The sidewalks are intermittent on US 41. If you use a power chair forget Btown. Manatee Ave is only decent west of 1st St. Manatee County sucks. I can't imagine paying taxes there.
