First test flight of Tu-144 (31.12.1968)

First test flight of a Tupolev Tu-144 'Charger' supersonic aircraft prototype nr. 68001 at the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow. It occurred on December 31, 1968 to fulfil a goal set by Soviet government that the Tu-144 will be airborne by the end of 1968. The report is part of Czechoslovak newsreel nr. 6/1969.
