Driving down Giau Pass, Dolomites, Italy

Part 2 the descent of this terrific pass, we could have stayed and played all day.......but the RAIN was becoming an issue. The road was quiet and the surface was pretty good too. This Pass has to jump onto anyone's "must do" drives when in the magical Dolomites. What does the road sign null zero 0/100 mean? I have seen it driving up mountains.

Thanks for the question. We saw lots of these signs around Italy, but now you ask I haven't got a clue either. However on reflection I would guess may be a protest.... If anyone knows the answer please post a comment.
