Yes, the message of the song is about hard work! Gento is a slang for the Filipino word “Ganito” or “Gan’to” which means “like this”. Pablo, the leader, explained that SB19 is “gento” or “like this”. “We’re like this.” He said this song summarizes SB19’s journey to success. Much like ginto (tagalog for gold), you need to persevere, push boundaries before you can achieve what you want in life. And on their IG live he said the MV itself contains a lot of satire and Filipino references. The first line "I want some, I get some, no later" - is addressing the habit of procrastination, then you have Darna, Moniko, etc which you have to be Filipino to get them. By the way, burned eyebrows is like burning the midnight oil. Thanks for the Christian take on the song. 💙
Stell who came out in just his robe is saying to those who raised quizzical brows at him before for his looks should look at him now in all his visual delight. “Magsunog ng kilay” is a Filipino idiom which means to burn the lights low studying or learning a lesson (to the point that one gets too close to the flame it burns his eyebrows) and Stell is addressing his naysayers in that part of the song to go burn their brows so that they may learn a lesson (the lesson in this sense being that they should not put down someone based on their looks because they’ll never know how this someone will turn up to be later). He may also be referring to all the skeptics who were quick in saying SB19 would never make it.
Finally, a Christian reactor! SB19 members have strong relationship with God. They never forget to thank Him first whenever they get awards or recognitions.
Im from the Philippines , and Im a christian i was just surprised to see a video creator who react and give his reaction in a godly way .. God bless you po

Quotating a verse in the Scripture?! Okayyy, YAS! 🔥 I love your boldness! First time to encounter this in reactions and I am here for it! 👏🏻❤️🔥
Here's some few notes here since the song have a lot of Filipino references: 1. Pablo cooking scene - The ingredients in the pot he's cooking are for the Filipino dish called "nilaga", this is reference to PH proverb, "Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga" which means "hard work has its rewards" 2. Stell shower scene - In PH since the weather is very hot here our body produces this "sour" smell in the armpit (that's why we always use deo) so people who don't take care of their hygiene here are called "maasim" literally "sour" so then he said in the lyrics that no matter how sweaty and sour he smell after all the hardwork he did all day the haters are more "sour" than him/them. 3. Josh rap part - He said that he will not swallow a stone because he's not Darna, Darna is a PH Icon Comics hero, she swallows a "stone" before she transform on her Darna form, so what he's saying is he's no superhero - He said that he's his own mechanic and don't need "Moniko", this is reference to a PH tongue twister: "Minikaniko ni Moniko, ang makina ni Monika" which translate to "Moniko fixed Monika's engine" so he's saying that he doesn't need anyone's help to build himself 4. Justin switch with the dog - This is reference to Filipino term "dogshow" used when you are clowning/making fun of something/someone. It can either be you're making fun of another person or you're making fun of yourself. It's "dogshow" because on literal dog shows, the dogs are being displayed to the public to make "tricks" who else does "tricks"?---- Clowns. 5. SB19 no eyebrows scene - If you raised your eyebrows on someone, you're judging them, right? Or being mean to them. On the MV the lyrics says to burn their brows. In PH there is this saying when you are studying hard, "nagsusunog ng kilay" which means burning their brows because their faces are buried on the book. So they're probably saying that instead of raising your eye brows on someone (judge them) why don't u just burn your brows (study) because the haters are basically dumb. EXTRA: Not a Filipino reference but at the end, the alien scene, they're actually mocking their Alab MV. (watch alab mv again and focus on the last part) This is because during that time they are fully managed by their Korean management SBT which made them do things they don't want to do as the group. In Alab MV, for example, they are promoted as "PPOP" but the MV literally starts and ended with someone speaking in Korean so PH netizens bashed SB19 about being a KPOP wanna be, no originality, and having no Filipino roots in their music. GENTO = Ganto (like this), "gento" is usually they of how Caviteno says it. Pablo is Caviteno. GENTO = Ginto (Gold)
I think aliens here represented foreigners who did not know them yet OR foreign fans who are just discovered them and digging even more to know more about them and finding how good they are, that they are gold!
The song also means gold is represented in many ways - your success, your awards, your career, etc, but you have to work hard or dig deeply to get that “gold”.
As the song said, "you have to dig real hard to look for gold but you cannot find it..And Pablo continued Don't settle for anything ordinary which means we should grow in every aspect of our lives. The Word Gento means "Like this" in English, "ganito"in Tagalog..The other word is GINTO or gold in English ..it implies to work hard if we want to reach our goals in life because that's what SB19 did..They were bashed, others hate them but their passion is strong enough ,putting the negativity into a positive way .Thank you for appreciating SB19..🇵🇭💎👏👌🔥🥰💞❤️
What makes sb19 more special is they write and produce there own songs how cool is that there make there own beats and its all because of there leader Pablo the lyrical jenuis
Thanks for living out Christ even in your reaction. These boys SB19 have a relationship with God. This video is about their journey in which they've been bashed even today ... . There are still some people who think SB19 is shallow, hence the constant criticism /judgment. But these boys take all with eyes wide open, folding their sleeves and start working so hard than ever. They keep their eyes on the goal: to bring Filipino music to global scene. I feel proud of these boys who are not under famous entertainment industry, but still continue to do their best... . Throwback, they were criticized for their looks. In simple terms, they are not good - looking, a criterion to make it in our entertainment industry. They were demonized and their reaction was hug each one and cry.... . ruclips.net/video/uVUhk2m9YxQ/видео.html
To God be all the Glory and thank you so much for your kind words! I'll be praying for SB19. They are amazing and I pray they ignore the negative noise. God is gonna use them in mighty ways. God Bless!
I love your reaction because you are geared in acknowledging God and the truth of His words. Indeed I love SB 19 very much and Pablo is a believer in Christ. He is a genius lyricist and a poet. Everything he writes has a deep meaning. Alien at the end of this video, is a symbol of a demonic entity who plays with our mind to seek for fame and wealth that leads people to live a life of vanity , empty and meaningless. Strong ending message. Congratulations SB 19!❤🙏 *Thank you for reacting SB19. You will get a lot of subscribers because they are the best not only in what they do but who they really are inside. I love them! ❤❤❤❤❤ Five hearts - One for each!
This is also a satirical video inspired by japanese humor thats why you have the dog, alien, etc. the alien represent the foreigners who will talk about their music soon when they achieve world domination.
You have to see their song "Nyebe". The arrangement definitely screams SB19 Pablo's inspiration from the gospel music. It sounds like a Christian music 🤍
Thank you for this RV, the alien I believe is another hidden metaphor and so many others. But the essence of it you got. They brought humour, visuals and talent!
Hi, Pablo (Paulo) the leader and Ken (Felip) with deep voice was was raised in a Christian Family. Also, Pablo wrote most of the songs, that's why it's meaningful and deep. He makes sure that the talents of every member is showcased. He's a good leader and all of them are all God fearing and loves their family.
With referrence to the eyebrows.. stell is giving them two options: raise your eyebrows to criticise or burn your eyebrows until you learn your lesson… lesson learned are like gold nuggets you can use in the future😊❤🎉🎉🎉
Every segment of this song infer some life lessons, he wants to cover the road to success!! It is up to you how to interpret it to your own life. Every song they made has interpretational meanings!!
You're prolly one of the genuine reactor out there, no too much simping or faking, just natural reaction, keep it that way. Also you got it right, about "grinding" in the Music Industry for you to become successful and be valuable like GOLD.
Thank you so much that means alot. I wanna be as genuine as possible in my reactions so I truly appreciate your support and the comment. God Bless and please let me know if there is a specific video you'd like me to react to. God Bless!
Thanks again for sharing ur gospel message too. Yes Pablo (blck long hair) leader & Song cmposer said that GENTO slang/short word for Ganito(Like this) & wordplay 4 Ginto(GOLD). WE REALLY NEED TO GRIND HARD & DIRTY LIKE THIS TO GET OUR GOLD ( SUCCESS /GOALS in life). We can also tke a shower to clean up ourselves same as we are sinners but we can be reborn again by accepting Jesus into our lives repent & follow his ways for us to enter our heavenly home meet our almighty God our FATHER.❤
The boys said that the song is about their journey as an artist and the song have a satirical message. In my opinion, the satirical message of the song is about how the music companies or music managements dig for gold (look for talents). There is a line there in Tagalog, "Pilit na hinukay ang bunbunan." Which means they dig deep inside their brains just to look for gold (The gold here now means money). Somehow it sounded like the companies/managements are digging (milking) for gold (money/talent/SB19). That is just my own interpretation though. Especially the ending scene where the aliens are watching over the ants (workers / SB19). And talking about "What color is your love?" and the other alien replied. "Like this, Gold." (SB19 and their talent is the gold or the money). Pablo is well-known for using 1 word like "GOLD" into many different meanings. Like for one line, the gold means their talent.. and on the other line it means money. And in the entire song there is an omnipresent entity who is/are the one doing all the digging(milking/exploiting). Especially now that they release this EP with their own established company. Also their EP is titled "Pagtatag" which means " to establish."
their songs always have deeper meaning to them. most of it is about hardwork, encouragement, respect and love. hardwork and encouragement lyrics are always in their heavy songs while respect and love is conveyed in their ballad songs. they even have an inspirational one composed for a computer brand commercial/ad song.
Every scene has meaning connected to Filipino metaphors and proverbs. Also half meant jokes. Every scene has stories for their hardwork, fans even haters.. even Pablo putting his hand on the pot with hot water and also the Aliens. GENTO is a shorten word for GANITO means "like this" and GINTO is tagalog word for GOLD both words are being used accordingly.. even their dance steps it has story.. they are really a gem a full package true artist. pablo's imagination and being lyricisms truly proud of them.. ❤
Yes 🙌🏽 SB19 is usually both inspirational and motivational. PABLO is a great lyricist and a BELIEVER so he has always created word schemes with double meanings. GENTO as I see the subtitles means something different at least a few times in the MV. I love the new MV. I see this Ppop group leveling up continuously. 🎼🌟🙌🏽 Thanks for sharing your reaction and your positive analysis. Sending blessings and encouragement. 🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸
I just subscribe! ❤ I glad to see rv of gento in christian and biblical perspective. Thank you so much. Currently, they got qualified to get nomination in Grammys Pop Duo/Group and just waiting for the result. Hopefully SB19 will get nominated and bring the Grammys Gold.🙏 Oh! I hope you can also check out 'Ilaw'(light) lyric video. Emotional version 'Ilaw Rappler live'. It talks about getting out of the limelight and pause.
I was gonna say the message is they work hard because during the start of their career a lot of the local media here were making fun of them and putting them down for being korean copycats. Now the media is sucking up to them because they are making it big internationally and they are saying in this video it didn't happen instantly. It is motivational as well to fans of their songs to work hard and give 100% to get to your goals.
GENTO word play: GENTO - ganto/ganito meaning "like this" GENTO - ginto meaning "gold" SB19 success is not that easy they need to dig harder to find "ginto" (gold) and you will never find a group "like this"
I rewatched ur RV couple of times because it’s great so I’m late replying. They image without eyebrow is from Filipino saying, “To burn your eyebrow” meaning to study hard. In places with no electricity yet (far from city) decades ago, students used candles or lamp to study at night. Sometimes they accidentally burn their eyebrows. In the song it has double meaning, they are asking the basher to learn first (study) who they are or it can also be like lesson learn that what they were saying about them are wrong… it’s a total methapor so it an be approach is different way… all in all it’s fun to see all their eyebrows are gone, meaning they are willing to learn as much ,as they can just to achieve their dream(represented by them looking for gold) “Gento” is word play from “ganito” which means “like this” and “Ginto” means “gold” so they are mining their talent, because they are “Gold, like this” = GENTO
2 of their members are Full Gospel Christians btw. Ken is a Pastor's Kid and Pablo who has hints of Christianity in the songs that he writes. They are also great friends with a band whose members are all strong Christians "The Juans".
Stell in part with boys have no eyebrows means that burning the eyebrows in filipino saying is to work hard to get something. This song about gold is about doing your best to get “gold”. You can get dirty in the process but in the end you will be able to succeed and get that clean.
Thanks for showing SB19 some love. These guys are monsters when it comes to live. SB19 does not disappoint. Pls share the love for SB19 (Ppop) to your friends and family❤
HOPE YOU COULD SEE THEM LIVE IN CONCERT SOON! 🤘🔥SB19 ‘PAGTATAG’ WORLD TOUR 2023 🤘🔥 ⚠USA Chicago 07/21 Dallas 07/22 San Francisco 07/28 Los Angeles 07/29 New York 08/5 Washington 08/6 ⚠CANADA Toronto 08/11 Winnipeg 08/13 Vancouver 08/18 Edmonton 08/20 ⚠“MORE SHOWS TO BE ANNOUNCED”⚠
Thank you so much for your reactions-I’ve appreciated them. I’ve also appreciated your insights. I’m a believer too-my husband and daughter have been worship leaders, my other daughters have been on worship teams, and extended family are also worship leaders in their churches. Love in Christ from Maryland💙
"Pre" is pronounced as PREH not pree..it is short for PARE, used by males calling thier friend...in the PH...some pronounce friend as PREND. the "what color is your love?" is a line at the end of their ALAB MV the references: Darna is a Filipina superheroine that swallows a special rock and shouts "Darna" then transforms to superhero. Means they are not superhero Mechanic Moniko is a Filipino tongue twister "Minekaniko nang mekaniko ni Monico ang makina nang Minica ni Monica" (Monico's mechanic mechanically fixed the Minica of Monica)

Pablo's lyricism is art.

Here's some few notes here since the song have a lot of Filipino references:

SB19 is the Gento like this . But they were the Gold treasure for being going up to Stardom as being famous now as a King of PPOP globally.
I think aliens here represented foreigners who did not know them yet OR foreign fans who are just discovered them and digging even more to know more about them and finding how good they are, that they are gold!

Especially the ending scene where the aliens are watching over the ants (workers / SB19). And talking about "What color is your love?" and the other alien replied. "Like this, Gold." It means a lot thanks for reacting our kings!!! .thats why we love them because they always give us more than we expect as there fans
Thank you for appreciating the boys.... looking forward for your next reaction video of SB19.
Please react to their performance as well at the “Asia Artist Award”
love your interpretation! Keep it coming!💙💙💙

GENTO word play:
GENTO - ganto/ganito meaning "like this"
GENTO - ginto meaning "gold"
SB19 success is not that easy they need to dig harder to find "ginto" (gold)
and you will never find a group "like this"
I rewatched ur RV couple of times because it’s great so I’m late replying.
They image without eyebrow is from Filipino saying, “To burn your eyebrow” meaning to study hard.
In places with no electricity yet (far from city) decades ago, students used candles or lamp to study at night. Sometimes they accidentally burn their eyebrows.
In the song it has double meaning, they are asking the basher to learn first (study) who they are or it can also be like lesson learn that what they were saying about them are wrong… it’s a total methapor so it an be approach is different way…
all in all it’s fun to see all their eyebrows are gone, meaning they are willing to learn as much ,as they can just to achieve their dream(represented by them looking for gold)
“Gento” is word play from “ganito” which means “like this” and “Ginto” means “gold”
so they are mining their talent, because they are “Gold, like this” = GENTO
I BELIEVE IN YOU END ME GABRIEL HENRIQUE
Live performance of GENTO is also out. Thanks for appreciating PPOP kings SB19 music. 🙂
Am here coz of SB19😊please react also to their WYAT mv. Thank you

2 of their members are Full Gospel Christians btw. Ken is a Pastor's Kid and Pablo who has hints of Christianity in the songs that he writes. They are also great friends with a band whose members are all strong Christians "The Juans".
I love this thank you so much for sharing! God bless!
i mean they’re filipinos so it’s kind of expected that they’re christians
On a side note I used to be a Filipino protestant Pastor as well subscribed since you are a Christian rapper.
Thank you for the sub and that's awesome! May God bless you and thanks for the support.

"Pre" is pronounced as PREH not pree..it is short for PARE, used by males calling thier friend...in the PH...some pronounce friend as PREND. the "what color is your love?" is a line at the end of their ALAB MV
the references: Darna is a Filipina superheroine that swallows a special rock and shouts "Darna" then transforms to superhero. Means they are not superhero
Mechanic Moniko is a Filipino tongue twister "Minekaniko nang mekaniko ni Monico ang makina nang Minica ni Monica"
(Monico's mechanic mechanically fixed the Minica of Monica)
