Something seems....up. My old 380whp LS1 miata was a hell of a lot quicker. Maybe double check your numbers at another spot? I'm not trying to throw any shade, just observing. That speedo should be getting more of a workout.
It's because he's not making 388whp. That turbo physically can't.

I just made a deal on my first miat a 95 1.8L with very high mileage not the best paint but very well kept and taken care of with a few minor upgrades im so excited to get it on the road and start tinkering
